The lightning is also used by the jedi and it is called jugement lightening plo koon is its main user and when anakin came in the room (in the movie), palpatines lightsaber was out of the window so he couldn’t really know

@@sachalejoncour116 I dont know if anakin would know about it. I guess he would, but the lightning doesnt come from lucas, so I dont think that he would know in lucas mind. I also believe that the light side lightning looked differnet (Orange I think). Anakin fought doku and knows/believes that only a sith is able to do it and knows how it looks. They just wanted to make anakin a badass on the cost of story and the fight was just there to fill up content. Mace would have won way way easier against anakin.

Video game makers obviously had to rework the scene a bit to make it work for a video game setting. Players expect to get to play out epic boss fights with legends like Mace Windu. If it had gone according to the film, it would've just been one long cutscene.

Honestly a fight like this would have worked better than what we had got in theaters, where instead of asking "what have I done", he would have simply accepted the outcome, seeing it as something that was justified due to how corrupt the Jedi were in his eyes. Since Anakin did have some doubts about the Jedi order before, so it would make sense why eventually he would begin to see them as the problem and thus understand why it must be destroyed in order for there to be peace throughout the galaxy. But I wouldn't be surprised if he still harbored regret of what he had done, after all he did fight along side Mace during the clone wars and would be saddened for it to come to this.

Would've been great if suddenly it just cut to Anakin in the movie saying "WHAT HAVE I DONE!?" after all that.

@@MR.ICE. During the prequels Mace was the strongest lightsaber duelist after Yoda. Then the next strongest were Sidious, Qui Gon, and Maul. Later it is Anakin, Obi-wan, Kit Fist, and Plo-koon in pure lightsaber skills.

I love the "what have I done" in this context-- he spends like 20 minutes brutally fighting mace, stabs him in the chest, and then kicks him out the window-- and then he's all like "oh shit whoops"

Wasn’t the whole point of both those scenes to show anakin crossing the line for the first time and feeling really shitty because it wasn’t the Jedi way he only did it cuz palpatine told him to. So later when he finds out he’s the Sith Lord it makes sense to him so he tells windu and windu says the same line the emperor said about dooku “he’s too dangerous to be left alive” so anakin then comes to the conclusion that palpatine was right when he said the Jedi and the sith with basically the same

Honestly, I think it would've worked better to have kept the "What have I done?" part of the clip out and just show Anakin collapsing on the groud while Palpatine rises. This game plays the story as if Anakin trully believed the Jedi had betrayed the Republic, so keeping that part of the cutscene betrays the narrative they were going for.

Mace Windu’s taunts during the fight were so funny, I actually lost a couple times because of it. “You ready for this, boy?” “You’re my opponent? Is this a joke?” “Come here, there’s something I wanna show you!” XD

Right?! I always thought it was weird they included that clip at the end of this stage. They could've either not include it at all or change the way this duel ends by having Palpatine suddenly throw Force Lightning on Windu's back before tossing him off the building. Give game version of Anakin that shock that Mace Windu was right. (for those unaware, they change the story of this game a little bit)

@@swiftstreak98 no, Lucas started earlier than Lanter did (the 2d clone wars, games). Lanter took over the role with the 3d clone wars. While I would say that Lanter is definitely a better voice actor, Lucas always sounded more like Hayden to me. He's considered the audio double for that reason, like Corey Burton is for Christopher Lee or JAT for Ewan McGregor.

@graddeos Anakin would absolutely Demolish Msce..."OH BUt VApaD", Anakin is much stronger then Mace, Faster then him and just BETTERA THEN HIM, even the devs knew Anakin would win against Mace. His Dark side is much more powerful then him in the light. Also Anakin is conflicted alot during his first day as a Sith, so Vappad also wouldn't work that well against him as vaapad only work if you have fully embraced the dark side of the force, which anakin hasn't.

The duel would've been a feast for the eyes, but I much prefer the split decision that Anakin makes in the movie. One quick decision and he devolved the whole galaxy into darkness for decades. Really parallels how he makes the same quick decision later, but instead decides to save his son and redeem himself.

Imagine if George lukas actually made this fight scene in the revenge of the scene movie it would have been so great and a awesome way to finish mace windu’s story

Anakin was stronger than Windu was. And they were about equal in skill. The Force worked against Anakin exactly once; and that was when he fought Obi wan. Every other time, the Force was more with him than anyone else. Windu goes down hard to Skywalker 8/10.

@@michaelarchangel42 100% false. In canon, Anakin is only equal to Obi-Wan, who Yoda confirmed wasn't powerful enough to fight Palpatine. Mace on the other hand, legitimately overpowered Palps and had him dead to rights before Anakin interfered. The Force "being with him" is irrelevant. His existing power at the time of RotS was insufficient and not yet up to Yoda and Mace's level.

Windu: Anakin, don't be a sith! Anakin: Well if you put it that way, okay dokey then, let's stop this little struggle of ours and put this old man to his rest. Credits roll.

This really does show just how powerful anakin was, if this was to be considered an alternate turn of events that could still count as canon

I love how in the end, anakin stylishly stabs windu with a twirl and without looking, kicks him out a window, looks at him like "who's the master now bit-" before it cuts to the movie cutscene of "WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" 😂

Anakin wouldn't ever come close to even defeating Mace, Anakin clearly is an aggressive combatant showing he's clearly tapped into the Darkside something Mace's form of lightsaber combat Vaapad literally counters against. Vaapad is based off of Juyo a far more aggressive form than Djem so

Visions may be a cool concept going for the anthology-style stories but we really need a 'What-if' Star Wars series that explores alternate outcomes of the main movies like this or Obi-wan being defeated on Mustafar.

I love how Palpatine had ample time to escape while Anakin and Mace were fighting outside but just sat there next to the window. And then the way Anakin elbows Mace at the end, sending Mace flying out of frame, followed by that kick. It's hilarious.

It isn’t that far fetched tbh he can definitely beat Mace but Mace can beat him as well it’s a toss up really, which is why I would have loved to seen this fight in the actual movie.

That's what really bothers me about this part of the game. I feel like mace would really beat anakin here... if I remember correctly he’s supposed to be the best dualist even better than yoda, Dooku and Palpatine. Another thing is anakin would usually end up tapping into the dark side when things got rough and mace uses a technique that feeds off the dark side. Anakin usually relied on power and force to overwhelm his opponents and Mace isn’t a pushover. Not to mention mace has a lot more experience in using the darkside without falling.

I like how this duel really shows how powerful Anakin is. I know he beat Dooku, but then he lost to Obi Wan which a lot of people use to downplay his abilities even though it was due to his emotions. This fight really would cement his top tier status.

This fight would never have ended like this. Windu would have utterly decimated Anakin. Anakin's unchecked Dark Side emotions would just fuel Windu's powers tenfold and he would just demolish him. It would require Palps to intervene with some cheeky backstab for Anakin to not die.

@@percivalknightoftheflames855 Too bad for your lying fanboy self both the game and the novel are non-canon now; and Lucas no longer has any input on what happens. The current lore has rewritten the narrative and made it abundantly clear Anakin was nothing more than Obi-Wan's equal in RotS. Disney canon has a very clear cut tier ranking. Yoda, Mace and Palps at the top, Vader and Kenobi below that, then everyone else.

You can clearly see Mace blocked that final attack with his abs before getting kicked out of the windu

This is basically a alternative version to revenge of the sith

This! This is beauty!

I love ROTS but this improves just about everything in the movie. I loved how you got to attack the Jedi temple and escape Utapau with obi wan. The fight with the CIS on Mustafar was also pretty cool

This is far better then what happened in the movie, imagine if this was the scene we ended up getting

Windu would have absolutely annihilated Anakin at this point in time

man this game brought back memories of my older brother and I passing the controller back and forth trying to beat this game definitely should do a remaster

Windu likes flying out from the windu so much that he jumped twice

This would have been so good in the movie, just to see that Mace cared about Anakin

No it wouldn’t. Anakin says “what have I done” cause he acted on a last minute decision. If this duel happened that wouldn’t make sense. You just want another lightsaber duel and Star Wars ain’t about that.

The "So be it" from WIndu is soooo interesting... The same way Palpatine said it. It says so much about the character
