@AnaheimRob yeah ducks might need defense, but it won't matter if the ducks offense won't shoot for the goal. He could do very well with that, and Solberg is solid D pick for ducks. Hope they do well in the future regardless.

With Verbeek I should not have been surprised, yet I was.... I am not disappointed though. With rumors of the Ducks looking his way the past couple of weeks I did start looking up some of his plays. Some of them were ridiculous, so I can see the draw. Now let's see how he progresses in San Diego (I'm assuming he will play there next year). Worst case scenario a solid second line winger. Best case a top line RW with who knows how high a ceiling..... Leave it to Verbeek.

I know this is old now, but isnt he too young for the ahl? Thought they had to either stick in the nhl or go back to juniors at his age. Hoping he could go to san diego though, feel like it would further his development more than dominating juniors

@@jonathanchan4850 I wasn't too sure about that, but it looks like he is headed back to the OHL for a while. I'm hearing Ducks management have no problem fast tracking him if he excels there.

@@nadaduo1765 I didn't call you a kid. I called Sennecke a kid. I stated you really should take a look at what Sennecke can do by reviewing clips of his play making. A lot of it is ridiculous. His stick handling in some cases reminds me a bit of....Demidov. I'm not saying this kid is there yet, but his ceiling may be pretty high. He without question needs to fill out but I think the Ducks got a good one. As far as the re-brand goes so far I like what I see but really need to see the Jerseys in person first.

Because you want your top draft pick to be able to play sooner than later and as all these informed fans know, it can be difficult to access Russian players because of the war. Montreal will need to know or blow somebody to make sure he gets here when they want him. Any one of those tops draft picks could be the best pic of this draft. This isn't an outstanding draft. I'm not happy a Russian player ended up in Canada because Canadians are extremely prejudiced. They get targeted like Samsonov. There's so much not in the mainstream Media news. samsonov was very isolated in toronto. And Leafs imported another Russian player to try to help Sammy - Canada controls their media and the NHL isn't going to tell you. But the minute Toronto announced they brought in another no name Russian player? Anybody with a half a brain could have figured it out. So I'm sorry he ended up in an Eastern Canadian city. Beautiful place - very prejudiced That would have been an interesting situation to see him on the Blackhawks. But there's nobody in this draft that stands out to me to be a generational player Nor shoe in Hall of famer
