People bash this film but honestly, it’s one of my favs of all time. Jon Voight played that character well as you would expect from someone with his level of experience. I wasn’t expecting as much from JLo & Cube TBH but for their experience at the time, they didn’t do too badly. But the Anacondas stole the show, literally 😂

This movie was great because of 3 things: 1. Some Famous Character 2. Good Pacing and story telling 3. Realistic looking Snake a.k.a minimal CG They build 25 foot animatronic Anaconda and smooth out its movement with a little bit of CG

Everyone should have a friend like Ice Cube.

The fact this is not a Anaconda, that's a Titanoboa

I think it's x CGI. I saw making of anaconda movie..they build up anaconda. Amazing production value. I miss those 90's year. Golden year's ❤

They really don't need to be aggressive. They will eat whatever they desire without a fight. They just lurk around, hiding in the vegetation and no creature can defend themselves.

Bold move shooting a final scene with a big cgi snake in broad daylight. Showed confidence, and they nailed it👍

Somehow, this film feels much more like an R-rated film. How it got a PG-13 rating is quite beyond me.

Its entertaining, the name anaconda is universal easy for anyone to identify it for a big snake known worldwide and the set of action ..was amazing

Till this day i still think this Anaconda movie is the best big killer snake movie to ever come out.. and i watched them all even the Python series which i liked when i was a kid and they originally came out, i would put Blood Orchid right behind this movie just because it was a Double A casted movie with a nice budget and decent story line but the snake didn't look realistic at all.. I've been wanting Hollywood to bring back big budget snake films like how every other year they fund a random Shark movie.. but i guess even though a lot of ppl are afraid of snakes its easier to make shark movies or its safer to bet on a shark movie doing well box office wise over a snake one

Man J’Lo was at her prime of primes with how good she looked in this film I was a little kid too but had a little crush on her fr😂

Scared as hell but I always like that part. Clearly snakes strike first them coil but for the sake of younger viewers back then in '97 , I thought it was dope...the rest is spot on though😂

Anaconda hunt for the blood orchid explain that the snakes ate flowers to live for years and that’s how they became big. But they also moved faster but didn’t think it made them become so aggressive to actually eat people. So basically the flower turned them into killing machines

I remember my parents dragging me to the theaters with them because they wanted to see this film. I was only 7yrs old at the time and it was already past 3pm, and Power Rangers was on at 4:30pm, which was why I didn’t want to go, but my mom wanted to see the movie real bad, and the weekends wasn’t an option. I sorta synced out during the whole film and eventually fell asleep on and off, but years later when Netflix became a thing and I finally rewatched this film again, but before that, there were only 3 things that I remembered about this film. One, Wilson’s death scene when he got eaten, Two, Voight getting spit back out by the Snake, and 3, the two soul survivors(Lopez and Ice Cube) weren’t Caucasian characters(with the exception of Stoltz, but he was out for most of the film), because usually and naturally they are the 1st to get killed off on-screen.
