Classical guitars are our passion! We are specialized in the highest quality concert guitars as well as historic guitars from around the world. Our passion for these unique instruments and the joy to give guitarists, passionate players, and collectors the possibility to purchase their own appropriate instrument is the motivation that drives us. Another focus is to work closely with established and young, largely unknown luthiers. Together we want to develop new ideas and share experiences with our customers.
We also recorded pieces for many great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla and Isaac Albeniz (Asturias). You will also find almost all the classical music composers that wrote for the classical guitar. Ana Vidovic plays Sonata in E major K 380 by Domenico Scarlatti on a Jim Redgate classical guitar - Live Concert - Classical guitar recital - Baden-Baden
Jim Redgate is a highly sought-after Australian luthier, known for his guitars built for artists such as Ana Vidovic, Pepe Roméro and Odair Assad. This lattice-braced model is an exact copy of the guitar that Ana Vidovic plays. Jim Redgate’s instruments have their own sound and touch. The breath-taking volume combined with rich harmonics and impressive clarity of sound are quite unique. The playability is fantastic, and the guitars are relatively light in weight compared to the Australian standard.
We’ve of course heard Ana Vidovic in concert many times playing on a Redgate guitar, but this guitar convinced us even more of the quality of Jim’s work. The honesty and spontaneity of each note, the magnificent volume, the ease of playing, and the unique sound character of this guitar make it an instrument not only rare in Europe, but above all extremely enchanting.

Never heard this sonata played better than this %The guitar is a gem too.
Lovely management of the dynamics, in addition to the flawless technique. We're very lucky to have Ana around - one of the great musicians.
It's a sad fact that the vast majority of people never hear anything like this in their entire lives, don't even know that it exists.

When I began to play classical guitar in my 30`s I also learned how to read music. There is so much beautiful music in this world. Bach, Merula, Monteverdi, Scarlatti, Tansman... just the tip of the iceberg.

Superb flawless playing, trills and dynamics. Great audio recording too- hats off to the sound engineer !
The guitar had a lute like quality of a lively tune. Always beautiful thoughtful technique and execution! Sweet Ana

I agree, the Jim Redgate guitars are some of the best in the world.
Such smooth note changes and practically perfect dynamic range as expected. Great job, Ana
It says ‘add a comment’ but I don’t know what to say. I don’t understand how someone can play as she plays. It is incredible in the true sense of the word. It is a joy to behold.

Unbelievable
No doubt, this woman is a true master of the guitar and sits at the same table with Segovia, Williams, Bream, Parkening, Dyens, Barrios and all the other great guitar masters. A joy to listen to, a privilege to watch her play, a gift to us all who love the instrument and it's repertoire.

She's very close; Segovia had a ... smoothness? ... that she still needs a few more years to achieve IMO (and I don't mean she's not already brilliant).

There's a very nice recent performace at /watch?v=e26zZ83Oh6Y (with this piece about 40 minutes in), much more relaxed, *one* missed note, but just overall more fluid and fun to listen to.

For me she is even better than Segovia who used to take too much liberty with rythm and special effects
~ I attended her performance this past Friday, Sept 20th in Jacksonville, FL. There aren't words in any language that express how perfect her execution is at every song played. She is currently touring and hosts a Masterclass in April 2020 in St. Louis.
Awesome performance Her playing is brilliant and lovely Beautiful So Beautiful Thanks for sharing Thumbs up 👍👍👍 God bless you friendly greetings solha
Absolutely beautiful. Amazing control of emotion through this instrument.
The joy is so much enhanced in the way Ana played. Really amazing control on the guitar.

Mamma mia, quei trilli! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That was a masterclas without words. Intimidating but beautiful. :)
This player appreciates the dynamic range of Scarlatti that isn’t restricted by “normal” harpsichord playing, which can sound cold and unvarying in the hands of many modern pianists who think they're being "authentic." They sit there and rattle off these pieces, and even the repeats are rarely varied. And the metronome is their God. But even with the limitations of his instruments, Scarlatti appreciated strong and dramatic dynamics and register changes. Scarlatti has been adopted fully to modern instruments, and it would be wrong to somehow think everything must be a harpsichord. Heck, even harpsichords of his day were not all that limited in dynamic and tonal range. While the full range of color, light and shade, and dynamics of the piano weren’t perhaps available to the composer, do not forget: Scarlatti was inspired by Spanish songs, flamenco, and all the fire that traditional Spanish folk music brings to the dance. Thus, this expressive version on a modern guitar, with plenty of rubato and dramatic shifts in color and dynamics, is perfectly idiomatic. I would hope (and I am trying myself) that pianists treat these as color palettes of utmost expression.
Musica vera, celestiale, bellissima, straordinaria...esecuzione perfetta.
This piece is what got me into the classical guitar conservatory when I saw my future teacher playing it.
You have my fullest gratitude for all the free content. Keep it up.
I am so impressed!!! Her playing is so perfect.
She's simply the best!
Beautiful performance of a chillingly romantic Sonata by the great Scarlatti! One of my favorite pieces. Thank you for keeping this beautiful music alive Ana!
Oh yes , Scarlatti and Ana. Brilliant!
Its truly a blessing to have a God given gift to all of us that enjoy this type of music, Ana Vidovic is a treasure that should live forever, although we know that that is not possible, May God give her a long and healthy life.

Nice! Really nice! I keep coming back to listen.
She is absolutely amazing!
love your playing Ana 👏👏👏👏👍🇬🇧
Another fantastic performance, thank you.
She is . And Always be Simply the best
Great job thanks for posting!
Fantastic quality recording, she is the best
Up to Ana's expected mastery of classical guitar repertoire, transcriptions, etc. Is it possible to become almost bored with such excellence? Of course not, thankfully. That Redgate, too - a bomb, if ever there was one; in the opening measures one could imagine something like Doc Watson making bravura Country magic on Martin Dreadnought. Or, something proclamatory, like a Haendel anthem? Anyway, Ana & her Redgate proceed thru all the energy & subtlety of the Scarlatti piece. Amazing performance, again. Thanks to all.
excellent artist....excellent technic, nuance, guitar sounding....!

Ella una gran guitarrista; el instrumento que toca, suena extraordinariamente.
Such a great composition. This sonata sounds just as good on piano, harpsichord, guitar... I bet an orchestral arrangement would work as well.
