@@65g4 Not at all. The clips of her in the trailer that I've seen, I can't even tell if it's actual footage of Marilyn or if it's Ana -- it's amazing. But in this scene, it's obviously two different shots, so we'd be crediting her wrongfully.

I knew she would be super famous after seeing her in Knock Knock. She makes acting look effortless. She must dig deep into her characters.

Spain hides all these beautiful actors and actresses. My boy was Antonio Banderas, back in the 90s. Love that guy! Spain makes great talent and good looks. I used to want to live there when I was younger.

OMG!!! Big crush and amazing actress. I also saw her in Spain. She acted in a very difficult role in “Blond”. A ( non cliché) movie about Norma Jean. She was amazing in “Dark Water” ; So HOT!

I was watching her in the other late late interviews and there she was different there but here she is more relaxed and being herself I love that ❤

She's so good at accents. During her period in Spain, she sounded Spanish even in TV interviews, even though she's Cuban. Many Spaniards took for granted she was one of them, same as Americans first thought Hugh Laurie was American just by watching House.

Well, it's evident that some people can't hear differences in pronunciation and accents as well as others. Personally I speak 6 languages and I'm very pedantic when it comes to sounding as native as possible speaking them, although I know that I fail in 2 of them because I'm not 100% fluent yet. When I try to tell my mum how to say a certain word in English she can't tell the difference between how I pronounce it and how she does. So that's possibly why a lot of ppl said she was great. Another reason - we live in an era where "woke" people praise literally anything and the tiniest criticism is considered hate.. So a lot of people are saying she was great to be "supportive"... Which pisses me off because not everyone is always going to excel at everything and there's no need to encourage ppl and lie to them simply for the purposes of "supporting women". Marlin's accent was part of the way she spoke and a huge element of her charm.. So she failed to do her justice 100%....hugh Laurie was flawless in house, Matt Damon's Spanish is great, almost any British actor doing an American accent pulls it off... And it is their job to do so. The fact that she failed to imitate an American accent to perfection means she isn't good enough or that she didn't work hard enough, maybe needed more time. Doesn't mean her acting in other films was bad, by all means, when she plays a Latin American in other films her acting is perfect. No hate, it's just an observation made by a multilinguist and professional interpreter. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am speechless.. This lady is the granddaughter of my very first friend in Cuba Dacio Porta De Armas.. We grew up across the street from each other in Marianao Habana Cuba and were solid friends until I scaped Cuba in 1966. I have not seen her work but what I have read she is magnificent and her demeanor here confirms she IS indeed a star. Bring Dacio to the USA darling !!!
