I'd love to quit watching and play this one, but I don't play on PC much, so I'm here for it, Odd. So far I wonder a little bit how repayable it will be, but that's likely just tutorial worries, and I'll withhold real judgement for a bit. Glad to watch you play, I came to this channel for XCOM so I'm happy to see something similar.

NGL but the fame system reminds me of The Hunger Games.

I love how much all of the different Xcom games draw from each other. Xcom 2 and Xcom 2 War of the Chosen both drew some inspiration from the Longwar mod. Showgunners has obviously combined some of the gameplay concepts of both Mutant Year Zero and Chimera squad, as well as the other main series Xcom games as well.

Hell yeah, glad you decided to play this game! It was so good I ended up finishing it in like 3 sittings. Really scratched that XCOM combat itch and had a pretty fun story too.

3 hours left and i'm ready

An "Are you kidding me bro?" in under 20 minutes? The X-com roots are strong in this one.

I love the fact that the Genius sponsor has a Dexters Lab reference in it. This game knows exactly what it's doing, and I am here for it.

I like that the game implies Marty already has all his recordings on his computer, and we can't watch them all at once because Scarlett can't be bothered. Nice in-universe justification for why the game parcels out its information one "episode" at a time.

This gives me Monday night combat and xcom vibes. I hate not having a gaming pc.😢

This game is gorgeous!

It looks like a turn-based version of the old gonzo arcade game SMASH TV, and part of me loves that and part of me wonders how well it will work across the length of an A-tier title.

As a guy without a worthwhile PC rig, I’m praying to see this on Game Pass! Battle Royal stuff is just me speed along with tactics games. Honestly DeathrunTV is the last Battle Royale styled game I’ve played & I’ve been itching for more. Honestly as others have mentioned, this really has me already searching for anywhere Running Man might be streaming right now.

I LOVE seeing how original x-com was so amaizing that folks like Jake Solomon fought to bring the genre back so successfully. Now we get games like this. You ever play the original on this channel Odd? I'd love to see you do an old-school campaign.

@@ClayThrower You don't know Open Xcom? It's a faithful recreation of the original Xcom, except it work properly on windows, and has some quality of life improvements as well, and you can mod the hell out of it as well if you want, but not necessarily.

Man this game drips with style, it remind me of The Running man movie with Schwarzenegger. As for I can see the "contestants" might be willing participants aiming to fame and fortune and the "Defenders" are criminals like in the Scum description alto I bet there will be "bosses" defenders or contestants that love killing for "the company"
