If I’m honest, I wanted this video to last for an hour. I have so much anxiety, and I granted myself permission to completely stop myself and my worry… make myself a tall glass of iced tea with orange peel, lay down in my bed with a cozy throw, and just take in the goodness that is your videos. It’s so true, we get caught up with technology. And spend way to much time on our phones, that we forget about the real world around us. We forget about the beautiful flowers, the trees. We forget about listening to the birds singing. To go outside and play, do sports or just simply walk or ride a bike. Thank you for reminding us that we have a whole life to enjoy. And that looked like so much fun what you planned out with your friends. We need time to do things like that. It helps us to feel good and makes us healthy and our minds healthy and our hearts. I feel you. All the horrible things going on in the world have me feeling so sad and exhausted lately. It is hard to find the will to go on, I try to be grateful each morning I wake up and try to give it another go. If I look too far ahead to the future it is terrifying. Be kind to yourself and know you are not alone. I love Morgan's videos too... they really do help make a difference.

I can so understand where you are coming from. I am so glad that you are in a better place. Good for you about trying to stop yourself comparing your self to those in on social media, too many people do that. Loved the forest walk, the owls were fantastic. When I read Mists 20+ years ago, it was actually life changing and my all time fav book. Completely changed my perspective on things. This makes me want to read it again and see if it still holds up to my memories!

One of my favorite books of all time. I've read it several times and it's certainly a keeper. Chronicles of Amber is a great book too. It has all of the books from the series in one volume. The author is Roger Zelazny.

I’m late to this video, but waking up early, enjoying coffee, and watching your videos brings me so much peace. I gave up social media a few years ago for the same reason as you did for the month of June. It took several months to ween myself off each platform, but overtime I stopped missing it, stopped posting, stopped boasting about the life I wanted people to see. Eventually, it was easy to simply delete the apps altogether one by one. As a creative individual myself, I’ve realized that social media is such a large part of self-promoting one’s own work. However, I’ve accepted my decision in separating myself from what might be convenient to better take care of myself and my mental health, etc. I must say, though, that scrolling on other apps (KZread, Goodreads, Venmo, etc.) is unavoidable 🙈 I’ve picked up new habits that I’m now trying to replace with others. I think this is what makes us human, though. That ramen with veggies meal looked so delicious! I might have to make myself some!

I left instagram because I was terrible ill because the comparations I was making with random people that don't really matter. Although this helped enormously with mu mental health, I didn't started studying more, reading more, cleaning more my house, but I did stopped comparing myself with instagram models or really successful people out there, so it already worth this almost two years without instagram. It really increased my screen time because I started to be addicted to youtube and started the endless scrolling in this very own app. but now I started to lock my phon, leave it playing lofi and in the other side of the room when I feel that I need to stop and just read.

I love the magical simplicity in your videos - they remind me of a studio Ghibli film 🌼🍂 I recently went to a beach near me with a dear friend, and just being amongst people who are all living their life and just relaxing and enjoying the sunshine was truly amazing! I felt very human in that moment 🧡 I relate so much to what you said about saying no to things due to wanting to spend your time productively. Interesting that you found yourself using your phone anyway. I am doing better at checking myself when I move on from checking what I want to such as messenger as I communicate with a lot of people there and Facebook groups that I am interested in but it can easily tip into mindless scrolling which isn’t helpful. I am so envious of your summer. It is winter here and has been pouring for a couple of days which is cozy and I have been reading a lot but summer is my favourite season.

So strange, I was at a bookstore on Wednesday and was recommended The Mist of Avalon. Admittedly I felt intimidated by the size as I have a 3 year old and not a lot of spare time. It’s interesting that it popped into my awareness again, perhaps it’s a read I would enjoy!
