Dog trainer here - if your dog jumping on you when you get home isn’t a problem for you, then it’s fine! Kneeling down to greet them can help discourage jumping if you want to work on it. But if you like it and she likes it, leaning into anything that strengthens your bond is always more important than “obedience.”😊

If they decide to have children then jumping up on her while pregnant will be discouraged as well as jumping on their children. Mixed messages will be sent and that is not fair to the dog.

@@lisawindemakernorris5454 I was thinking the same! Myself and all my grown children have dogs. I’ve always had dogs. Retired vet tech here. We’ve always trained our dogs not to jump up. It’s just simply better for when guests come over and especially when I had babies and now grand-babies. We’ve all had large and small breed dogs. Just a simple thing that makes a lot of difference

This is so helpful. Thank you. We have a rescue black lab/pit who we found in a parking when he was 3 weeks old. He just turned 1! He’s the sweetest baby boy. But he jumps really bad. He’s the worst with my husband. But it’s really embarrassing when people comes to our door. We MUST start working on it. We have tried everything that has been suggested to us. But I haven’t heard this yet. Thanks again!

@@Willowb57 do you have any other suggestions on getting the jumping under control? We have a rescue black lab/pit mix. We have had him since he was 3 weeks old. He just turned 1. We have been told to turn our backs to him, put our knees up, ignore. Noting has worked and is humiliating when people come to the door. 😩 He is literally the sweetest, most perfect dog. Other then the jumping.

@@MrsCarrieSnyder I would start with teaching SIT. When coming in the door after being away , which is probably the worst jumping time, immediately put them in sitting position, using the DOWN or SIT command. Do not give them any attention, affection, etc. I know it may seem uncaring but it’s not. Continue to use the sit command and ignore him until he’s completely calmed down. If you do this every time he will soon learn that he will not receive any greeting or attention until he settles down. Some dog’s just won’t give up and you may try VERY LIGHTLY stepping on one of his back feet, while giving the DOWN COMMAND. He will not know you did it but will also learn that jumping up causes discomfort . Hope this helps. Don’t give up and you must do this every time he jumps up on anyone. Be consistent! Good luck!

Buy a kettle ! It seems in America you don’t have electric kettles in your kitchen.

A lid on the pot will help it boil quicker. Cheers from Canada!🇨🇦

Leave the rectangle table imo. It's a rectangular room and I think it adds length to the space. If you put in a round table I think it might just create an obstacle to move around and "shorten" the room. This way you're letting the optical illusion make the space bigger. If you want a change, consider high back chairs. It's a very tall room and I think it might enforce the length and height of the room. Also, tall plants/artwork/lamps help to "fill up" large spaces, dampen echos and cause the eye to travel upwards. We live in a 5-6ft world and a lot of times forget to carry things above our line of sight.

Congrats on 1 million subscribers! It seems like life is really starting to all come together for you both, which makes it more exciting for those of us that have been following for a while.

When we had our kitchen renovation done, years ago --- we were told it would take 3 weeks (but took 2 months.) We temporarily converted one of our bathrooms into a mini-kitchen, to use the sink, put in a toaster & microwave... I feel your pain!! Good luck with the projects, luv u two! ❣️

Leave the ceiling finish as is. That’s a high end finish and more interesting than a plain smooth ceiling. Also, use hot water when filling the pot. It will boil quicker on the hot plate.

I just want you to always be in love with each other so much and Carlo to never stop saying “my love “ with his puppy dog eyes at Sarah

Just found your channel. I married a Italian, we had two amazing sons. He wasn't as nice as Carlo. So I raised my son's alone. I think true Italian men are wonderful. Jsyk Sarah there is really no gluten free ravioli out there that I have tried that tastes good. As far as pasta Barilla ,Jovial, Delallo pretty good brands. They have all different shapes. I have been gf since 2003 cus of Celiac disease and I too am Italian so it really sucks. May be worth it to make ravioli from scratch a lot of work though. If you get 1:1 ratio gf flour any recipe you can swap out. I do make my own cannoli shells a lot of work. Too.

No, to the honey! The sweetness of the ricotta is enough for balance. Next time try adding a clove of garlic, a handful of parmesan, and most importantly the zest of that lemon - that's where all the flavour is.

It's just a simple textured ceiling. Along the lines of a stucco type with just the swirls using the spackle to create.

New subscriber here. I binge watched almost all of your old vlogs and I loved them all. I love this vlog as well.

Because boiling water on the stove takes forever, I heat water in the electric kettle to pour in the pot, and I'll usually throw a few cups of water in the pot itself to heat up simultaneously, but the kettle makes thing so much faster, even if if it takes couple kettles full!
