That last tone --------- . Stopping at the exact moment the sun ‘got loose’ from the equator. Masterful ending to a masterpiece.
I can't believe a second And maps and plans film ! Beautiful , elegant, and simplistically lush.
Absolutely stunning in every way, from the storytelling to the animation to the art style, everything was so carefully and perfectly orchestrated. Thank you for this

They told you they did have maps and they were so wonderfully planned
That was phenomenal, not a word of dialogue, expressive & surreal, beautiful, solemn, & that vision sequence was exquisitely animated. This has everything i love about animation & more. By the way, can you PLEASE tell me how you animated the flock of birds twisting in the sky, that effect is actually incredible.

I've always keep Coda on my favorites list but never thought of looking for more short films until today when for some reason I decided to look the original creator and I found this channel. Absolutely amazing, beautiful and perfect in any way ♥
Where's the million views? this is a master piece!
Another beautiful film! Gorgeous colours and style, and the sound design really made it feel atmospheric! Loved the pacing as well
Absolutely beautiful. I can't tell if any 3d cgi was used, it all looks like hand drawn 2d. It's very very fluid, truly great work. The only thing I find wrong is that at the ending sunrise. Sunrises start lighting up with the peak first and then revealing the rest and the sun rises over the horizon. The tallest skyscraper in India is so tall that you can see the sunrise from the top floor all the way, then ride the elevator down, and watch it completely again from the ground floor. But otherwise, very very good animation.
Criminally underrated. I am so glad to have experienced this wonderfully made video.
I'm glad I rechecked the channel. A beautiful master piece, makes me want more.
just stunning storytelling
This needs to have the same views as coda. Like seriously its underrated!
I've been waiting for THREE LONG YEARS
I literally felt I was falling down as the character fell in the hole.... Superb, And Maps And Plans!! Almost forgot your upcoming film. Seen the trailer last year. I was excited. Now I'm grateful.
This is incredibly beautiful. You earned yourselves a new fan!
SO GOOD! Absolutely love the animation from these guys. The composition in some scenes like 1:00 and 7:09 were rad as heck, and that whole scene at 8:45 was dope. And the fact this was all done without any dialogue is amazing.
I’ve been waiting for this for awhile now... at last
Marvelous work! Thanks for sharing!
Very good indeed. Char design, colour, story, animation, sound. All spot on.
How beautiful, no dialogue, yet still very expressive. I love this.
I hope you guys make more animations it’s been too long

Damn
All I can really say man, is damn you surprised me with this one
I feel stupid now, because I didn't understand what is the movie about. And I came to read the comments but everybody just talk about how wonderful work they made, but nobody explained the film 😢 Does he die or was the wife?
@river_brook

by how I understand it, his wife died; he was climbing the mountain to fill the hole that left in his life by reaching the summit, and after nearly biting it on the way up, he has a revelation of how life and death are intertwined, as was hers. once he comes to terms with his wife's passing, he no longer needs to "conquer" the mountain per se, just enjoy being there and being alive, hence why he tosses the flag into the wind and watches the sunrise.

@@river_brook Beautiful. Thanks for share your point of view. I lost the love of my life six months ago and honestly, a lot of things changed in me. I don't need to show anything to the people and a lot of things that I cared before, now it seems absurd to me. I guess that happens when you lose someone you love. It gives you another perspective of the world and the life. (I hope to be clear, English is not my native language).
HOLY SHIT YOU'RE ALIVE
Is the art style giving MNOG for anyone else?
Bir başarıyı gaye edinmekle uğraşırken içinde fırtına koparan bir gerçekle yüzleştiğinde o zaman güneşin doğar.
Why does it only has 3k views
Subscribing to this channel finally pays off 🌚

how did he know that skeleton was her?? or was that not the point?
@nassuman
5 жыл бұрын
I don't think that the skeleton is her. I think it's more about the confrontation with mortality. The Climber sets out to conquer the mountain, perhaps as a way to feel like he has some sense of control over the world after losing his wife to something inevitable. But as he makes his journey, he finds that there is an overwhelming finality to death and that it cannot be conquered only embraced. I think the most telling moment is his refusal to plant the flag. He is not here to conquer anything anymore, but to embrace the world around him, taking in the morning sun.

@@nassuman I'm curious what makes you think he lost his wife. In the "dream sequence" as he looks in the skull, we see him dressed in black at one point, she's lying with eyes closed and slightly levitated off the bed at another point and she sits on a hospital bed at another point. But I didn't put that together to mean she was dead. I interpreted it to mean that considering mortality made him realize how much he loved her. I'm not saying you are wrong. I'm just curious what led you to that conclusion. Thanks!

@@TimJGallaher Have you not just explained why we assume she's dead
@TimJGallaher

@@laurencebetteridge8633 I guess I could interpret those details to mean other things than she was dead. The fact that she appears to be floating above the bed rather than resting on it particularly makes me think there was something else going on.

Manza Have you no appreciation for art and animation? Lmao just kidding, you can think whatever you like but still, making something like this takes dedication. I mean we art people really just want to enjoy the quality animation and soundtrack.
