Thank you so much :)
Absolutely stunning work! I really appreciate the use of tripod shots and the way you took your time to craft each frame. It's refreshing to see a video without the frantic, all-over-the-place gimbal shots. Your dedication to your craft shines through. Watching this makes me aspire to be just like you when I grow as a filmmaker. Truly inspirational!

This is fantastic. I watched this 6 times now. The story and cinematography are so well crafted. It's crazy how you think it's going off, then you hit us with the last minute of fire. Well done

This is trully a FILM, not a video. Incredibly well made, and acted so naturally! Thank you Guido. I will definitely look for more of your creative work. It is inspiring, but also... touching. I saw the Ursa name and thought it will be 'technical' video with beautiful filmic landscapes. But it was so much more that I almost didn't notice the stunning shots. And that is probably what most of filmmakers should aim for.

Amazing work man, really admire your ability to tell authentic genuine stories. And can't forget the beautiful shots and editing!!
This was incredible. Such a perfect capturing of a place and people. The compositions and stillness. Was this all naturally lit or supplemented at all? I love the magical elevation of the ending and the musical build to this release. Amazing through and through.
Really beautiful! Love it when a film has such a good mood and feeling :)

Simplemente hermoso e inspirador. Te agradezco por subir este tipo de contenido por aquí Guido. Se siente realmente refrescante ver como una cinematografía estática en su mayoria, y muy bien compuesta, puede contar muchísimo junto a una historia sencilla pero a la vez bella.

Beautiful film in many ways! 🙌 So nice to see you post another film, Guido. The one about ‘Walking Gently On Earth’ is a,one my favourites on YT. If you’re looking for video idea, you could just post a break down of one of your films, discuss process, stories etc.

Beautiful frames, Magical compositions, storytelling at its best. Inspired. How did you get such diffused lights in most of the shots? BRAVO
@guidopezz
6 ай бұрын
Thank you! To begin with, it was filmed in winter and the light in that part of the world can get very soft. For the interiors, sometimes I was double diff. or bouncing.
Beautiful work! Making me glad I invested in the vespids. Some of those wide shots are gorgeous, the one of the green house for example was that the 21mm? Or 16mm? The depth of field snd softness in the corners worked really nicely.
@guidopezz
6 ай бұрын
16mm :)
Stunning, Guido! May i ask, where you are getting your music from? It just rounds up your film absolutely perfect!
Your work is such a huge inspiration for me and I love how beautifully u tell stories, not only in the edit but the cinematography as well. What microphone do you use to capture the folly sounds while recording? Would any shotgun mic work well?
@guidopezz
9 ай бұрын
Thank you! I use the Sennheiser MKE600, great mic. To be honest this one works great for me so I haven't tried other options for the past couple of years.
Looks great. Was shocked to see the size of this "mini" camera when I looked it up 😅
Absolutely amazing! How did you like using the URSA 12K? Did you find low light to be a problem?
Beautiful work, storytelling and cinematography. Can you describe if you used constant quality or bitrate (which values) please?
@guidopezz

I always go for constant quality - tbh honest I don't remember exactly, but I tend to go mainly with Q5, and sometimes Q3.

Just discovered your work - absolutely stunning! How are you achieving that extreme falloff look. I've seen it in your drone footage as well @4:24 is an example.
@guidopezz
9 ай бұрын
Thank you! That shot in particular is a bit harsh, but in general the URSA has a great latitude. I put a lot of love in the grade as well. The LUTs I create focus mostly on the highlights roll off, and I also give the option for a smoother roll off.

I wish permission for the non-commercial use of excerpts from your work "an island off an island." I intend to incorporate certain scenes from the film into my university studies, with a commitment not to use them for any commercial purposes. In the video's credits, I plan to prominently acknowledge the source of the work and provide due credit to your creative contribution.
