Hi +Jacob Ebsen, For accurate temperature measurement there is a specific calculation which takes into account distance, the object’s size and the camera’s IFOV spec. As for Police helicopters, they don’t use the E60 or any similar type camera. They use highly specialised cameras on pivoting mounts specifically designed for aircraft. We're not sure of the actual cost of the Police cameras, however we believe they would be around the $50,000 to $100,000 region. How far away will this work a mile or 10 feet for $8000 i would assume this would be the same as the police use on there helicopters please show us the specifics

Same question here! Btw, can you change the Hz from the Menu? Can one even find those on that Menu?

In e60 touch is no responding... How will activate the touch option

The touch screen can’t be turned off, so it’s either faulty or perhaps can be re-calibrated in the Settings. We hope this helps.

Hi +Gediminas Jesinas, The FLIR E60 has a removable SD card for image and video storage, you cannot store still images or video directly to a USB.

@@TechRentals I think he is asking what are the FPS? as in is it limited at sub 9hz? also got one of these thermals, though at sub-300bucks 3 years ago and this somewhat higher framerate it is vital for video -. Hi Burkitbayev Arman, if you need your IR camera calibrated please contact FLIR. They have a fully accredited and exceptional calibration lab. Recommended calibration period is every 12 months.

My FLIR E60 is stuck on the loading screen. Anyone else have this happen. FLIR wants 1500 just to look at it!

Hi, we haven’t seen this issue before, however you could try removing the SD card and then turn the camera on. If this doesn’t solve the issue it could be corrupt firmware/damaged onboard ROM and would need to be sent to the manufacturer for assessment.

May i know the device is linux or android?
