Subscribed! Excellent insights. 30 years of playing guitar I've only just become passionate about Rockabilly....and joined a Rockabilly band.... would be great to see you do a show on more of the amazing chords. Little Charlie and the Nightcats "Wild Cattin' comes to mind....keep up the good work!

I'm a very ordinary guitar player and found your video in the arvo before going to a party that night. Late in the night the acoustic came out and passed around for a singalong. I played your 12 bar turnaround while we all sang along 50's hits. No one noticed i didn't change the turnaround and kept playing the same thing for 5 mins. Please make more videos under the heading "Things that sound tricky and impressive, but are secretly sort of easy." Love ya work!

@@purepopoz How about ".....guitar made easy "? Happy to hear from you hope you're well. Yup, you're right- a lot of the old Rock n Roll songs were quite similar once you start to hear them. Same with Country music.

I got a good price on a Boss RE20 Space Echo pedal. It’s a real good echo for rockabilly. Thanks for the lesson

That's a fine pedal Dante, I've owned one myself. The pedal that I use now is a T Rex Replica- great pedal.

Wouldn't that A 6th (1:03) technically be an E shape in the CAGED system that is.

Hi Matt. I just found your Videos a couple of days ago, after bookmarking many - then only keeping the ones that were the most concise, well paced , helpful - and inspiring: they were all yours, and so here I am ! I signed into You Tube for the first time in years, to subscribe and say thank you for these lessons / insights. They are great fun to apply - and just the right amount and content in each 'episode' to reach for the guitar whilst watching. I have just one guitar nerd question though, what gauge strings are you using ? Flats or rounds ? Keep up the good work Matt - and thank you.

Hey Fourth Feline, or can I just call you Fourth? So glad you like the videos, to be called inspiring is a great compliment. Thanks you. I LOOOVE guitar nerd questions- that's how I learnt- by asking other guitar players questions- but I soon found out that pretty much ALL guitar players love talking about this stuff. The strings I use - on the tele in the video- are Ernie Ball Power Slinky 11-48 rounds. . I do have other guitars with flats on them though. Happy picking- there will be more videos soon. Matt

Hi Robert, Strymon make great gear, but so far my favourite echo/delay pedal is the T Rex Replica. It's a superb pedal. Thanks for watching.

Scotty inspired a generation of guitar players. One of my favourite quotes by Keith Richards was "Everyone wanted to be Elvis. I wanted to be Scotty."
