Hello Guys,
So I had a few questions on my last stream about how to make this kind of generative stuff in VCV Rack, so here we go! Hope you enjoy!
Enjoy!

For anyone searching the description for how the patch name is spelled, it's "Krell patch".
Thank you very much for your tutorial. I am new to modular synthesis and I find it fascinating. Please keep making excellent videos!
You sir are the jesus of music production enthousiasts :P
I remember when starting out with your videos. Serum gave me anxiety. Fuck dude this is just amazing. What a time to be alive. Great video as usual shot mann
amazing stuff Dash. You need to do more modular jams.
Ok this is some of the dopest shit I've ever seen. That rainbow scope at the end is beautiful!

Dude I am so appreciative. I couldn't even find a place to get started. I had to mimic a lot of what you were doing at first just to get plugs etc but then it started to make some sense. Thanks again I had given up till I found this video.
great introduction! thank U!
Very clear and helpful, thanks!
Please make more Forest and full on tutorials with voltage modular! Thank you for this one 🙏🏻💜
Omg this is so coool
thank *YOU* for making it simple.
Thank you sir dash
Great tutorial! :)
Nice patch
Subbed!
Great, could you post the patch,just to make experience and try connecting modules as you do in the video (learning step by step)?
space noises? there's definitely a tuba floating around in space then ;-)

Space is infinite, there is certainly a tuba floating somewhere :)
So this is how those 4h long KZread sleep videos are made ^^

YEZ THE KRELL ARE REAL!!
Nice video. Did you use the free modules available or the paid ones also ? Thanks .. 😊
Where i can to download the software ?
Is there some ways for trigger osc phase starting point in VCV Rack?
@DashGlitch

In this patch I used the square from Even VCO to sync the Bogaudio VCO - that seemed to reset phase position - some of the modules don't actually reset tho, this is the one I found that was able to

@@DashGlitch Ok man. I play a little bit around it and found what seems to be the dumbest solution ever. MIDI-CV rtrg -> Bogaudio VCO sync Wave position Locked to 0°
You ca save this audio in MP3 or Wav?
Lol maybe a noob question but how do you record audio from a VCV rack generated sequence..? I thought it would be straight forward but I open an instrument track in Cubase 12 and no audio is recorded even tho the instrument is playing sound.. I am looking around on google, YT, and GPT, they all say to change the routing but I can't figure out how to route it to a separate audio track.
@DashGlitch

add group, route group to audio track - it's the stupidest workaround, but that's what cubase is full of lol

@DashGlitch thank you! Haha it took almost half a day to figure it out.. I thought it was the most basic task for cubase 🤣. Apparently not.. one guy on the Steinberg forum described the task as exotic haha.
@DashGlitch

@@rhinoskin7550 Sure, recording audio is an "exotic" task for a DAW, that's pretty funny XD But these are some of the reasons why I left Cubase, because even the most basic tasks are a hassle
I installed the plugin under windows 10 and cubase 10, but that tells me black list for 32 bit plugins. Don't understand. If someone have an answer

Cyril Ginestet Cubase 10 doesn’t support 32 bit plugins only 64 bit, so it black list them.

I wanted to try VCV Rack. And i can hardly output a sine wave with an ADSR and a delay without it starting to glitch. I guess you need really good hardware for this :/

Works just fine on my $100 ebay refurb from 2012.

Changing your sample rate (latency) should help.
@bakedcreations8985

It is not the sample rate, it is the frame rate that is causing the problem, lower it to 10 hz and you are good to go
Would this still work on vcv rack 2?

absolutely
Happy new year, guys! I've only just discovered your channel this afternoon! Can you give any introductory tips regarding VCV? If any of you guys would like to do a split, mix, chat, or just have fun making music and sounds; here is a link to the channel the kids & i work on from time to time: Soundcloud.com/jodymcdougle
