I heard the Greatest Of All Times was in town today.. I could listen to Netanyahu all day long and not get bored. His realism, his love for Israel, his sense and grasp of history and his ruthlessness in 14 years of power (and still counting) helped to make Israel militarily and economically indomitable. May you live long and prosper Mr. Netanyahu

Good talk by Netanyahu. I find him to be a realist. I may not agree with all his domestic policy decisions, but I support his take on keeping Israel strong so it can negotiate for peace. They live in a tough neighborhood and have to deal with complex global relationships. Anyhow, when "self-preservation strikes its jarring gong" America will pay a heavy price with Iran's nuclear weapons program. Love how he quotes people and mentions books when he speaks - with no teleprompter. I'm not sure my president has read a book. The myopic fixation on Ukraine in Washington is distracting us from a legitimate threat to American interests, Iran.

Fascinating debate, Benjamin Netanyahu is often misrepresented by Western liberal/left-leaning media as far right Conservative and oppressive towards Palestinian's because Western media buy into a one-sided narrative on the history of State of Israel and the British Palestine Mandate era, based on a total distortion of a complex history that came about not just because of WWII and the Holocaust but because Jews were divided for a long time over Zionism - the idea and belief that Jews should live in a Jewish State on their ancestral homeland to be able to defend themselves as a people better. Israel is a shining example of how diversity and tolerance works in the Middle East with Jews, Arab Muslims and Christians all living together in one country peacefully for the most part under a fair open democracy. I noticed here, Netanyaha mis-forecast how the Biden administration/US allies and Iranian nuclear talks would go. A year ago speaking here, he said realities had set in with the US and US allies that Iran couldn't be trusted on a nuclear deal. Of course, it went the opposite way and Biden and the US allies decided to reinstate the nuclear deal, give Iran billions of dollars aid and ease sanctions on Iran based on a big leap of faith - even despite the enormous amount of physical hard evidence Netanyaha's government presented to the UN and US that the Iranian regime had lied along about their nuclear weapons ambitions. The nuclear deal seems (and is) crazy on many levels, because we know the Iranian regime has most likely used the billions of dollars from America and easing of sanctions to continue their expansion and funding of militia proxies and radical Islam across the Middle East (and far beyond) causing regional instability and a great deal of conflict and suffering which not only threatens Israel and the region, but the whole world. It seems to be the Biden administration and allies who supported reinstated the nuclear deal took the view that a deal is better than no deal. A damned if we do and more damned if we don't approach. In other word's if Iran is going to pursue nuclear weapons there's nothing we can do really to stop it happening, only slow it down with a deal. And it's better if we have *some* deal with Iran which allows nuclear inspectors into Iran to keep an eye on them. And a deal gives us some leverage over Iranian policy making around nuclear weapons and nuclear deterrent ambitions they have. Here's the problem though with that kind of flawed reasoning when dealing with a regime like Iran: 1) Whilst Iran says it will allow open inspections of its nuclear facilities to ensure they're only pursuing peaceful atomic energy and not weapons...Iran as we know has a nuclear enrichment facility under a mountain and many secret sites it refuses to allow inspectors access. So we can never trust Iran or have a complete picture of what they're up to and it relies too much on trust and honesty - when Iran has demonstrated it cannot be relied upon for trust and honesty after the Israeli government proved to the world with the hard evidence. 2) The Iranian regime by its very nature is a terror state regime - the number one sponsors and organiser of Islamic terrorism in the world. So giving them billions of dollars and easing sanctions, based solely on the nuclear question, is a dangerous and foolish move. It fails to address the wider issues and behaviour of the Iranian regimes conduct in terms of arming Islamic militias, radicalising, spreading hatred towards Israel (and the US and West) across the Middle East, and actually arming those groups. The business of Iran is terrorism and any money they receive from the US/West goes into that - as does a sizeable portion of their GDP from oil depriving Iranian people of economic prosperity and holding Iran's development back compared to other OPEC countries. 3) The Iranian regime being a minority sectarian totalitarian regime, oppresses its own people and has terrible human rights. Are we going to support such a regime and be seen to reward it financially and economically? The nuclear deal is not that different to what North Korea does with its nuclear and long-range ICBM testing threat, basically a form of economic blackmail and extortion of the US and West by playing on our fears to give them money to not do these things. It's what terrorists and terror States do. Extortion and blackmail to prop-up their regimes and poor economies. 4) Appeasing rogue states, dictators and oppressive totalitarian regimes isn't a smart strategy. Since the nuclear deal was reinstated relations with Iran and the world have worsened significantly, terrorist activities have massively increased and for the first time Iran has launched a direct attack on Israel. We have *emboldened* the Iranian regime by showing weakness (or Biden has). Any sign of weakness or appeasing only serves to green light and embolden such people who openly state their goal to destroy Israel and openly call the US "the great Satan" and call for the demise of the US and West and the rise of radical Islamic ideology into a global empire again, similar to the times of the Ottoman Empire. The world has moved on from imperialistic territorial expansionism and dominance - which belong in the 19th century, yet that is how Iran, Russia and China, all view the world..and hence why we call them the axis of evil..they're not that different to the WWII axis of evil involving Nazi Germany, Japan and Italy, that all shared a fascist global dominance view of the world. The way to bring peace is as Netanyahu suggested, by forming good relations with Israel's neighbours along basic common shared interests and values of mutual peace, stability and economic prosperity. And whilst we may not always share the same values or ideas as countries like Saudi Arabia, most countries in the Middle East are wise enough to realise its better to accept the State of Israel and maintain some kind of peaceful mutual respect and cooperation on security and trade, than it is to have regional instability and continuous cycles of violence which threatens the peace and stability of all nations, not just Israel. The Middle East is a highly volatile area of the world with highly complex and delicate geopolitical and economic factors that requires a careful balance of power and good State relations. Iran has consistently been the outsider the rogue State, unwilling to bend or shift from its position that Israel is not a legal State and Jews have no right to exist in the Middle East. How do you deal with people like that? Isolate them, sanctions and international community pressure seems the only way. The regime faces a lot of internal pressures and civil unrest and if it doesn't change risks collapsing when Iranian people feel too oppressed and want a fairer electorally representative government rather than a totalitarian ideologically driven regime.

REALLY> In Israel he is called the Crime Minister. HE IS JUST GETTING AWAY FROM HIS Pogroms on the Palastinians. Its a bad look. He should take his talents and go help his nazi brothers in Ukraine. Zelensky would be delighted since he wanted Ukraine to be "the new face of ISRAEL" ......No old chums photo op. with Volodomir, BiBi?

America hopefully realizes the current situation in regards to the alliance forming between Russia and China, AS WELL AS Iran! That stopping this by whatever means necessary is imperative to worldwide safety and security at every level. If this happens, I believe that Iran would then easily acquire nuclear capabilities by proxy. They need to be stopped! It is good that this interview and conversation is taking place. As a US born citizen, I THANK YOU.

The USD taxpayers should increase the annual grant to Israel from USD 4000 million to USD 5000 million because Israel is our friend and Ally. Also the US should invade Iran because Iran pose a possible danger to the Jewish state. Since the region will be destabilize more Muslim refugees will flow to Europe. It's estimate that a million Muslim refugees will go to Europe. Since Ukraine has already taken in Ukrainian refugees, US should at least take 100k Muslim refugees.

It is interesting and telling that he idolizes an intellectual diplomat, Herzl, over the admired and famous Jabotinsky, a militant leader who his father worked for. And how can you not be impressed that he's well read -Churchill, Durant and Zweig were some authors mentioned.

@@koopon3900 There was no country called Israel. 5% of Palestinian population were Jews. The Jews had no problem with Muslims or Arabs. They had problems in Europe. They came in and stole the land of Palestinians. Those Palestinians are either being killed or in Refugee camps in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan or elsewhere. Europe and America is deaf and blind when it comes to ZIONIST atrocities in Palestine, but they see and here all other violations all around the world, particularly the Islamic world!
