I am honestly stunned by how upper class your response was that perfectly captures the memes you see where richer people look at poor people confused as to why they're complaining about losing money, even something as small as £10 is alot to some families, a few of my friends in high school were from poor backgrounds so even if they broke something that'd be cheap to replace for most families say 10-20 pounds they'd have to either never get it fixed or go with barely eating just to afford to fix it and you're over here looking at someone having over 350 robbed and going eh not much money, there are poor people in the world and as Karl said the store owner doesn't make much money so this much could have been a huge hit, even something as small as £10 can be difference between whether someone eats today or not, I'm a student at uni and have a £6 a day budget for food so if I lost over 300 that would practically starve me

@@seansmith877 I understand your response. But in England renting a shop costs about £10, per Square Metre, per Month. Lets just assume his store is 4x6 meters (As they normally are hahaha). That's £240 a month. If the guy can find £5,760 in 2 years then £300 ontop of that just isn't that much surely. It's what 6%? I assume he can easily find this money since it has lasted a minimum of 38 years (because of Karls age).

@@whisper__ rent is litterally one of the very many expenses, you've gotta pay for all the stock, you've gotta pay all your employees, buying anything that's needed in the store itself like storage units, shelving, all the electricity it'd take to run the place, the constant lighting and heating bills, plus it's a corner shop and I live near where Karl does and most owners live in the shop usually upstairs because they can't actually afford to move into two separate buildings, plus you're also forgetting every single other expense in the guys life the store is litterally just his job, he's not just taking from the store but the owner who obviously has rent for his house maybe and family, pets and kids to support, no idea why you've only thought of the basic cost of just renting the room when that's one of the dozens, even when I was working my minimum wage job back in college, over 300 would have been a massive loss, minimum wage where I live is like £8 an hour so that'd be multiple shifts worth of my wage gone just in mars bars, plus in another interview he mentions it wasn't always just mars bars sometimes he'd take magazines and other things along with the mars bars

See thats what the main misconseption people get about fortune telling, people thing if you know your future then your future is a good one. But with Chinese Astrology it most often gives general guidance on when are good times to take chances and when are better times to play it safe and do things that are good no matter what like reading, exercising ect but it doesn't tell you what the lottery numbers are next week exactly, it will say what day and time is the best for money making opportunities and it will say if your naturally lucky in gambling.

You can make predictions based upon data and statistics. But even if those predictions you make with math are solid, it's still just testing for probabilities. Essentially there's no way to predict the future and if you believe a prediction is true and then it does happen, you're operating under a self-fulfilling prophecy.

We literally lied just to tell the priest fake lies and it was always the same shit “Disobeyed parents. Didn't tidy up our toys. Didn't share with my brothers and sisters. Didn't say my prayers on Wednesday before bed" Bet those priests loved a bit of flat out honesty “Yeah this week I've been hot wiring JCB's, sniffing glue at school, started a fire over someone's shop and and ruined their business then trashed the newly lawned bowling green with a runaway horse” Priest - "Go say one Hail Mary and come back next week with more good stuff my child"

Actually, I think he referenced that he did accomplish a lot in life from hard work and street smarts alone. And let me tell you, Karl worked his way up from a small time unpaid hospital radio gig in Manchester to becoming not just a good producer, but Head of Production at XFM with a huge salary in London all on his own, and all that before the age of 30, and before he even met Ricky and Steve. To be honest, he geniunely accomplished more with his life at 30 than most of us do at 50. The fact that Ricky and Steve found him and showed him to the world, which made him a millionaire, doesn't take away from the fact that without Ricky and Steve, Karl would still have "made it" in the media world and gotten nice, incredibly well paid executive positions.

Meh, as long as people understand they are not seeing a medical doctor they should always take anything the fortune teller says about health with a pinch of salt. As far as we can see the fortune teller isn't claiming to be a medical doctor so he wasn't being fraudulent. What's worse is people who have bogus alternative therapy qualifications and use the title doctor when they aren't registered medical doctors.
