An Honest Tour of the University of Iowa by a 2020 Graduate

I spent the last 4 years here experiencing college the way I chose to experience it. Don't take my opinions as fact, to be honest, I didn't want to be here most of the time anyway.
Sarcasm is the fun part. But the sand really is the most dangerous. UIowa please, stop with the sand. The only times I've ever fallen have been because of the sand!

With all the hundreds of videos I had watched, this video is favorite. It's warm, welcoming with a tint of reality and sarcasm, while still shooting several points across. In my slang terms, YASSS SIS! XD

It's 2 years later, but I grew up in CR and went to the University of Iowa but I currently work and live in China and I'm super homesick. This gave me a laugh and a walk down memory lane. I LOVED your commentary about Carver Hawkeye Arena. If not for being in the Hawkeye Marching Band and Pep Band, I never would have stepped foot in there either lol. As an English major, my favorite fun fact to sprout about the EPB is that it is often voted the ugliest building in Iowa.

Happy to provide a glimpse back home! I didn't know that the EPB is KNOWN as the ugliest building! That's one of the funniest things I've learned in a while 😂

YOU ARE MY CHILD. Cinema Studies in a Journalism building, gym = smoothies, the dorm horrors, bars bars bars bars bars, and sports? What are those? Where? I went to Indiana/Bloomington, and I can tell you this video is UNIVERSAL.

If you mean hotels, the Graduate is probably the best. It's in the middle of Iowa City and the staff is amazing last I checked.. If you mean places to live, there are very few that are actually nice...it's a college town ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That article about the Rest Nest was tagged as satire, so no she didn’t actually rent it for $10,000 😂 but I will say if I get any sand slush in my shoes again I’m filing a class action lawsuit

several big directors went to uiowa, and even give special lectures to the cinema students. besides, you make films while you’re attending and can submit them to festivals like Sundance. I just say, take up a double major or minor in case you need something to fall back on
