Here's how you protect yourself from Leech. You run Zabu and/or Psylocke and Leech, so you can Leech their Leech on turn 3 before they can Leech you. It's a flawless plan.

Sage strikes me as the kind of card I'd be happy to get and use in a normal card game, but because of the way progression in this game is based around saving up very rare/valuable keys and having to use them on the most specific cards that you think will really change the game, I feel like I can't justify wasting keys on her.

I was so excited because I don't have Tribunal, Legion and of course, Sage, so I spent a Key as soon as the Spotlight changed, I got U.S. Agent.

Sage is the same as Sebastian Shaw, both have potential since they can reach high power numbers, but both are totally replaceable, for example in a suffer deck if I have brood, shaw and sage I go brood all the time

Buffing Leech right before releasing cards that are heavily dependant on their on-reveal effect being used later in the game has to be one of the most miopic changes I've seen SD go forward with in a long while. Hell, buffing Leech *at all* right after releasing Blink is extremelly questionable to begin with.

I like the Negative Surfer Sage deck. One change: I switch Nebula out for Echo. Ongoing stuff is rampant right now and she can shut their's down while allowing you to do your own Ongoing plays.

For myself, better value was spending 6K tokens for U.S. Agent and completing the Spectrum Jean Greay mega deck. I have embraced the Leech. So has my Dan Hipp Cosmo variant.

I can always trust an Alex review on a new card. Love getting to see them in action before considering whether to spend keys

Initially I was pretty excited about sage, that was before the season began and the meta shifted hard with the leech buff. Just can't see myself pulling my only spotlight for her now.

I took a spin and got Sage with 2 keys. I like negative and silver surfer so I’ll be happy once leach goes away.

Hey, high rolled on the first spotlight key and got Sage first. So I’m good with that. I love Negative but he’s never been better than when Surfer was 3-0. Those were the days.

One card you're sleeping on is Taskmaster, to convert that verticality to horizontal power. Also kinda love how Cannonball has now been accepted as a legit tech card now!

Man I miss playin my off-meta Phoenix deck. I used Human Torch, killed on 2, dropped Caiera on 3, Phoenix on 4, then play nothing but move Torch around then play Task. I believe that gets him to 28 power so 28 in 2 lanes. Its not the tallest it can go but almost no one expects it lol.

Thanks for the video and the decks. I'm not sure what should be done about Leech. He's a necessary evil, but he's still not a fun card to have so prevalent in the meta.

I've found that shes a pretty good fit into Master Blaster shells.

I made an Annihilus deck with Sage that worked pretty well. Punisher, Okoye, and Chavez all helped boost power and it could usually distribute different power to help boost Sage. Shuri with Hobgoblin or Sentry easily won one location while Sage cleaned up the other. Overall, I was constantly overpowering opponents either through raw power or through sending over the negative power. The times I lost were often because I lost a 50/50 on where to play a card, and the games I did lose were often still really close, only losing by a couple power.

@@Spectrumix Hood, Hawkeye, Chavez, Daredevil, Okoye, Ghost, Sage, Punisher, Shuri, Sentri, Hobgoblin, Annihilus Hawkeye and Daredevil are probably the most cuttable. Hawkeye does give a unique power for Sage, but he could probably be swapped for Nebula (who I don't have). Daredevil was occasionally helpful in planning turn 5. He did allow me to send over a -16 power Hobgoblin to be consumed by Venom, so that was pretty epic.

High Evo may be a good fit

Really shows that the Leech Buff was not thought through... It just hits a lot of midrange decks as well. Reliable Discard is literally unplayable alongside surfer, etc

As usual a fun and useful video right after the new card release made by the master of snap himself. About Sage i believe playerd shouldn't judge her ability by saying her ability is useless or a waste just because that one card which is Leech counter her and make her a trash card, because if we take only that measure then almost every card in snap is useless because all have counters that make them totally useless..just let us see the utility of the card itself, can it bring you enough power to face other strong decks, can you put it in many decks..flexible or not, is it fun, is it useful if you draw it until last turn or she's only good to play her early...then we can think about the counters of that card that make her ability denied. that's how we as players who play different decks need to think before making a decision because after all every card have weakness not just Sage and Leech ability dont only effect Sage!

used my 2 keys didnt get her , need a couple more days for another key im taking a 50-50 to get her or tribunal i wouldnt be mad with either but id rather get her cause i can buy trib for 3k tokens in a few weeks. i didnt have any of the cards this week so its worth for me especially cause i love surfer , ill save a few weeks and roll again when its worth it

Maybe Im just super lucky but I didnt encounter any leech after playing 1+ hr so my experience with sage was good. Just playing her with a bast surfer deck. Nebula is perfect with her it just baits the other player, they gonna keep playing at least 2-3 cards there and have like around 15 power then abandons it, then you just nuke it with sage surfer +1 card last turn. But yeah leech counter this deck so hard but so is most surfer deck or on reveal deck and not because the card is bad

With all the leech I’ve been running a man thing/usagent ongoing spectrum deck. Pretty amazing so far

I think sage either needs to be an ongoing card or a 2 cost and change up the power a little.

Should i even get Sasquatch because future spotlights will have proxima and corvus I’m sure if i save after getting nocturne i can get both set’s and I don’t have the cards for that because I’m interested in July’s cards.

Just remember that they're in 2 different spotlights so at minimum you want to be holding on to 8 keys to guarantee you'll get them.

I've seen sage once before hitting infinite and she was only 6 ppwer

Leech needs to hit 3 random cards that’s it. But SD get wet and hot and heavy over cards like that so.

I still say wolfsbane is better just because she's more consistent in her power. Sure she can't as easy get +20 but you rarely need that high.

I only just realized that it works off power not cost. I thought the card was way worse than it was.

The fact that leech is back is infuriating. One card should not shut down half the meta.

Alright I just pulled off a crazy 8 cuber my opponent pulled a red hulk from quantum realm. I continued to cycle my hit monkey and sage, eventually sage grew to 24 nearly beating their red hulk lane by 2 and won the other one with a giant hit monkey.

There’s no way Leech stays like this

Just hopping on the Leech talk, I think I dislike him more right now with only nuking On Reveals as it means if you're playing a Hela deck for instance your original back up plan would've been just playing big cards and hoping they're enough. Now it's just an instaretreat. And I get it, Hela's been too good the last few months so a solution is needed but I can't say I like Leech in his current or most recent form.

They gotta kill leech again

Sage was the only card this season I was looking forward to, and my first game I beat a bitch ass red hulk mid with a 20 power sage. so worth using two keys imo

A card isn't meta the day it comes out, who would have thought lol. I can tell you now it doesn't matter what cards you have. If you're a terrible player, you're not going to get to infinite regardless.

So many new cards used in these decks, so hard to actually stay meta without spending a lot of money. Half the new cards released make older cards completely obsolete. Red hulk made blob obsolete instantly. Why ever in a million years use lizard over white widow? Truth is this game is nowhere near f2p friendly as it was when the game first released. The brode advertisements before this video are misleading to say the least
