Couldn't care less about the audio issues tbh. For me, it doesn't take away from the good content. Whatever works for you, and makes your life easier. I've said it before and I'll say it again, seeing the cycles of stuff on the farm, grass into cow, cow into slurry, slurry onto grass, it seriously interesting and great stuff.

Great video Tom, the bit of rain helped enormously with the dribblebar , proof will be in the next cut. Always happy for the Ginger Warrior's in put, learning all the time.
Literally I could listen to the ginger warrior talk all day long. Great video Tom 💯
Tom , I like your dad with all his knowledge of course he has all those years dealing with the land for the cattle
Hi Tom! That was an entertaining video! You seem to do a really great job in soil management.. sustainable farming as much as you can! I can’t imagine what it smells like though. 🤣. Dirty jobs but somebody’s gotta do it! 👍

It has been decades since I have visited a dairy farm or worked with cow poo, yet when I see this operation the smell is alive and well in my head. It takes a lot of soap to get rid of the smell. Awesome operation.
Sewing a lot of white clover will make up some of that slurry shortfall I reckon. It's truly remarkable how much nitrogen they can fix per acre.

Can't sow clover and make money. Cost of seeds way too high. Clover plants would take up the space that the grass would grow. Not comparable harvastable mass. They still have to empty the slurry bin. The poo has to go somewhere so more poo can be added. Legumes/clover do make a lot of N but just not practical or economical for this application.

Did not mean for it to sound so authorative. Was just light heartedly stating a few facts. No matter what side of the pond you live, facts of farming present multiple dilemmas and options and obstacles to producing a product at a profit. Hardest job on earth. Grew up on a farm. Have been a landscape designer/consultant/gardener in big city for 41 years. Have little farmette in country. Neighbors are cows and farmers. Recently discussed fertilizer/nitrogen cost issue/options with neighbor.

It is amazing how something as simple as the dribble bar and some bubles make the slurry that much better. Will be really interesting as time moves on how much of a difference there is in your 'til expenditure. I know with the prices always going up it will be reflected more in the amount and not the cost, but still...every little bit.
I love the ginger guy such an awesome guy. Love your videos Tom have learnt so much about farming since watching your video
Fantastic video who would have thought I would find muck spreading videos more interesting than TV keep the videos coming and Happy Farming
it may be a good idea to extend your slurry system to include the calf pen area. If it is compatible with the plans you did not yet disclose to us :)
These vacuum tankers seem popular around you with manual hoses. I never see anyone like that. Hydraulically driven pump crane with screw or centrifugal pump for unloading is like a vacuum tanker is for you.
I have to say Bubba I just love your dad's accent and just the general way yall talk!!!
Great video Tom
I watch these thinking, that's how my Lancashire farm laborer ancestors might have sounded. Love it.
Glad to see that you are no longer overlapping with your slurry dribble bar. It's pretty much a precission tool, so there is little point in doubling application in strips.
Glad to hear the aeration and dribble Bar are helping with the grass and hopefully the overall quality that I will make for the second cut and the overall nutrition for the cows. Ginger guy looks like he got a haircut? Be well be you
You know how to make people happy I have looked forward to today's video and it made my day 💯 Tom did you enjoy your pink lady apple 🍎 just looking at the sticker on your jacket 😅🤣
In the calf shed, and pit, wash it out using a big pressure hose, the water will help 'loosen' the chunky stuff at the bottom of the pit and you get more slurry.
Got to love a bit of grass fever season! Well that’s what we call it.

I have just been to Dumfries and Galloway for a few days which you will know is big dairy country and they are well into their silage season with many huge fields cut and everyone out tanking like mad with dribble bars and umbilical systems. fascinating to watch.

Such beautiful cows!
pooh slinging comes before finishing cleaning up yard. I love the pooh video. Toms shot doesn't stink , as it's on KZread.
Humic acid is a wonderful thing for soil, I wish I could send you enough to spray a field to test on. I wouldn't want to pay VAT on that though. Root development would increase significantly, letting your grass get thicker and taller.
A very good Friday afternoon to you all from Wellington Somerset

Love the pooh t-shirt rag, every new tanker has one.
Poo Happens❣️ It could be worse - you could be at 10 Downing Street and farming 🤪😉
Great vid, really found that interesting.
Liking the music tom. And your right, you're the first person to say to "that cone's to big"
On Drews farming vlog they have I believe similar tanks and use a pto driven paddle/ agitator affair which does not appear to require a too large of a tractor and works well.
Tom I'm only after realising that your hurlimann and our deutz are the exact same machine SAME are another the exact same, and your dad is right they are not hard on diesel depending on how they are driven of course.

One of our local dairy farmers likes to use a dribble bar on his grazing ground and a splash plate on silage ground it makes better cutting grass
@thetessellater9163

any slurry covering the grass blades will hinder the growth, so dribble bar rules every time.
Will you be steam cleaning the the new cow shed
Would it maybe be possible to extend the bubbler system in the large silo with one or two extra "zones" and place those in the "bad" tank so they get stirred in rotation with the large tank? PS: at 17:05 it looks like the far left pipe on the dribble bar is blocked in case you hadn't noticed Tom ;)
