I can't imagine the world without Herzog now that I've seen/heard and thought about his subjects, approach to story-telling, raw humor and extraordinary sensitivity....He's a gem of creative exposition. His books are a knock-out, wonderfully crazy PROSE!

Well, this whole conversation was a "consolation" for me. Thank you! "Only the shallow know themselves." Loved that one. Plus, the "win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat."

If there’s anyone who a savvy interviewer shouldn’t interrupt it’s Mr. Herzog.

Hate how the interviewer keeps interrupting Herzog. Herzog is someone you listen to in awe and wish he never stops talking when he is speaking.

Lots of inappropriate laughter from the audience, I thought. His story about the prison pastor and the squirrel, for example, is actually quite touching. This audience treats it like a punchline.

There's no such thing as "inappropriate laughter" - it's a reaction and a sign of individual culture.

The interviewer doesn't really get the message that Werner Herzog presents. Werner speaks in a stream of consciousness. A person with these wide ranging ideas and life experience "contains multitudes."

FFS why don´t you discuss his amazing movies? A total waste of time. An interview with a cleaning lady at the Savoy would be more interesting and probably would get more views aswell.
