@@AbsurdTurk Sorry to respond to you again, but I would say it's worth noting that: He uses different voices for expressing different character viewpoints. He has rapped much more profound lyrics; The poetry doesn't have to be all complex all the time. I'm not making an excuse for crappy lyrics- I don't like YAH and LOYALTY very much- but a rapper like Kendrick using blunt language is more than likely a device for expressing emotion, as later in the song the lyrics get more "serious", I guess. I don't know.

Because he’s actually talking about something meaningful. Most fans think rhyming random stuff sounds cool but anybody can say “several door, metal floors, special dwarves, mental cores”. It takes a real musician to utilize rhymes and literary tactics to convey a significant message.

beat is really weak imo. "U" is far better in conveying "fear" than the beat on "Fear". But lyrically, it really gives us a very introspective perspective of the human condition and where we get our fear from. Kendrick Lamar is a great example of what a good lyricist and technical rapper means. It's not about writing a 1000 rhymes in a row or rapping too damn fast to be understood. It's about writing ryhmes that are technically superior but still convey meaning, emotion, story and lessons. FEAR is the best song in this album in my opinion.

who else witnessed the history when you just leave the room after hearing the “Not Like Us” just to hear “meet the grahams” being played in the other room, HISTORY!

Can we all just agree the _whole_ album except HUMBLE. and DNA. are underrated?

Adopting and adapting ideas and practices from different mediums and different forms to elevate your work in your specific area. That's smart and applicable to anyone's work

DAMN is one of the best albums ever made. In any genre. And I don't say that likely. It's a modern day masterpiece in my eyes. It will be forever on my Turntable, Phone, PC, Mac, and in my head. 10/10. Horribly overlooked.

When he started saying “better not” it just remind me of when i was younger and how my mom was just expecting alot from me at a young age like if i had done this shit before.

Fear was my favorite song off the album. It hit so close to home.
