Hello!!! In this video I tried to make a new good ax without forging from a damaged old ax using an octopus - devilfish pattern on the metal. How did I manage to restore the old ax?
Hi all. This time I want to restore an old rusty ax into a new ax with an octopus’s design on the metal. After working with this ax for 2 months, I got a good ax with a reinforced cutting edge made from a car spring. The complex pattern on the metal gives the ax exclusivity. I wonder how much such an ax could cost? How do you like my work?
I used an old ax as the basis for the new axe, the ax was in poor condition, the mark was damaged by rust, and I could not read it. The cutting edge was completely worn out, which had to be cut off during the work, strengthened with carbon metal from a car spring and hardened in a homemade forge by heating it and lowering it into water. Next, I decided to give this ax the shape that I came up with myself. What I've done? Cut off unnecessary metal. Cleaned and sanded. When the blank was prepared, I decided to put on it an image on the theme of an octopus in the depths of the ocean. After electrochemical etching of the metal, I blackened the axe. When the old ax was completely ready, I decided to decorate it with paints. I was pleased with the result of this work and I hope you liked it too.

Try rubbing your pencil stencil with a burnesher or thumb nail .save you lot off time .nice work .

That is seriously off the chain... now all you need is a handle made of driftwood with some barnacles for better grip. Awesome job on that.... RELEASE THE KRAKEN !!!!

What a beautiful axe, love the marine theme with the octopus and the light tower. The composition really flows over the axe. Would love to have this in my home 🏡

Alright. This is the second video I have watched so far from you. So far... I do not possess a vocabulary vast enough to adequately compliment you. I will instead tell you this. You somehow managed to shrink down 2 months of your time into 15 min. Somehow I managed to turn a 15 min video into 2 hrs from pausing it so many times. Enough to the point I decided to screenshot it just so I could zoom in and get a better view of all those details. Just mind numbing intricacies well beyond any brain freeze. The little things I caught while watching your video we're very comforting to me to see someone else who appreciates bringing items back from the grave. Either giving them a new purpose or turning them into art. Even if this piece was rediscovered in 1000 years they would ultimately wonder how was this possible? I believe if vikings still existed they would be rowing across any sea for a chance to aquire your axes. Keep your stones true Mihail and you will never lose your edge. Awesome work of art. I am so impressed with the level of etching control you get with electroetching instead of using acid. I love your theme for this axe, my favorite of yours so far. Thanks so much for the videos they are great teaching tools. I have yet to try the dot engraving and oil paint to enhance shading, but I really love how it added to your piece. Does the oil paint hold up well over time? Thanks again for sharing your amazing work.

Спасибо... В данном случае я лаком покрыл. А на счёт ножа не знаю, что лучше. Знаю, что за ножом ухаживать нужно, если что окисляющее порезали, следует помыть, высушить. При хранение маслом или средством специальным смазать. От металла зависит, какое к нему подход требуется... 🤝🤝🤝
