No one could ever fill her shoes. She is a walking cornucopia of jokes with a delivery that is spot on every time. A classy act with a bright and wonderful smile. We love you Joan! Be safe, happy and at peace wherever you are. We miss you!

I saw her in a sleazy Greenwich Village bar (on the second floor, at that) where they had to convince us to go upstairs to see her act. That was 60 some years ago...and I still remember her joke about how it hurts to have a child. She said that she screamed and screamed and everybody in the neighborhood heard her...and that was just during conception.

The couple who Joan was teasing about the ring are the Emanuels. They designed Princess Diana's wedding dress.

So many of the audience are no longer with us. I miss Joan’s acerbic wit. May they RIP.

I saw her in las vegas She gave me and a few guests flowers. Laughed so hard next day my throat was sore.

Sad that she's gone! So quick witted and funny!

She's fantastic. To be able to have her comedic skills on the spot is amazing. I'm sure any comedian would agree, this format where she doesn't know what is going to be asked is the toughest.

God I miss those days and really miss her.. There's just noone like that anymore..

Im reading a biography about her now and apparently she got a lot of flack early on for delivering her jokes to fast which is so strange to me when I think her fast paced delivery is part of what makes her performance work

Killer lines with impeccable delivery and genuine warmth. A pro.

Absolute Best “ Lady comedian “ of all time! Like Robin Williams, you can just watch it over and over and over again and it will keep you warm inside and your cheeks aching.

Ms. Rivers' brain was a spit fire. She was in the UK & adapted her act to accommodate plus the V sign. She adapted to each English speaking country & never missed a beat.

Ms. Rivers was dynamite. Vastly superior to so many other stand ups. Clever, clever, clever. I truly miss her. She'd be 90 this year amazingly. She never lost her quick wit.

There’s no one like “The Joan Rivers.” I miss her… And I love how everyone in the audience dressed up and exert a lot of effort. Miss those days.

HM Queen Joan Rivers. She’s the OG of female comedians. I’ve never seen this one from the 80s. I laughed so had and loved every minute of it. Thank you for sharing this. Ms Rivers made the world a joyful one. ❤️

@@markylon She went in to those butchers for an endoscopy, which is not plastic surgery. They couldn't resist goofing around, taking selfies, whatever. Melissa got a very big settlement, but the medical office never admitted wrongdoing. I hope they had to shut down, but I don't know about it.

Ever since the early 80s, I had loved Joan and her sense of humor! Rest in Peace~

Joan was the BEST! The world could use her comedy again. Everyone is so thin skinned and offended by everything.

@@michdoug1 bc some people look for ways to feel offended these days and cancel anyone they disagree with, which makes comedians afraid to say what they really want to say. Look up Lisa Lampanelli from 10-15 years ago and the stuff she said was hilarious but would never fly these days.

It’s so iconic. Those people not laughing seem like the barriers and she is just reading straight through them. A true legend. Loved this!

Those designers she goes into the audience to talk with are David & Elizabeth Emmanuel who designed Princess Diana’s wedding dress.

Such a masterful first minute, I really enjoy watching it. She takes such care to warm up the crowd and flatter it, then BOOM! Knocks everyone's socks off with a classic!

This was before Edgar killed himself, and Joan was still in a good frame of mind. His death greatly impacted her and her comedy. R.I.P. Joan!

@@ayoayo7730 Edgar was her prominent husband (I believe he was a psychologist) who suffered from depression for many years. He ultimately killed himself.

@@larrypatterson5363 He wasn't a psychologist, he was a German-born British film and television producer. After Joan left Carson to start her own late night show at FOX with Edgar as the Executive Producer, it failed and he killed himself from guilt.

I’m 70yo Australian we never saw much of Joan but she has always been on my radar This is her best performance I have seen so far Apart from her comedic talents , she is a very very attractive woman

I miss this powerhouse riot of a legend. She so gorgeous, slender, lean, beautiful.

It seems that I was 8 when this show was aired. But holy creations… Joan is so “over the age”. No matter how old you are you get into her sense of humour. A real Diva.
