Respect to you for not playing needless music during your gameplay. It allows us new players to get a feel for the game's ambiance and atmosphere. Making it feel creepier. Thank you. I'm subbed now because this looks like a fun game and you played it well.

When I came home for a month leave from the military back in the 90's, I needed a ride. I found an old 1980 Mercury Colony Park station wagon from some old lady for $300. I loved that car lol. Was 18' long. Power everything. Fold down rear trunk seats. A leveler when on the highway. That thing could handle a bend at 70 mph easy. Fooster, you crack me up. You are like a moth to a bug zapper. Taking damage and not paying attention because you are mesmerized by the environment. Thanks for the video, Brother.

Colony Park is the station wagon version of the Grand Marquis. The venerable Panther platform. It probably had the 5.0 liter V8 in it.
The name of this game is called Pacific Drive. It's really called "California Life"
Something I noticed a lot during this video is that you can see the remnant slowing driving your character mad. The dog on the dashboard loses its head occasionally and the UFO hanging from the mirror moves further down the screen. It’s very subtle but very very cool. I love that aspect of the game and huge props to the creators, because that’s how it happens in real life when you feel like you’re going crazy. It’s small things that make you feel like you’re going insane and then it’s all at once.

That's a really cool insight - I have OCD, which causes all kinds of aggravation of it's own sort. I don't think I've ever heard someone who HAS experienced what they'd describe as "Going crazy", talk about it. I'm glad the game got it right, I'm glad you got to come back from it.

One thing I do not appreciate in games, is when common rugged tools that would last several lifetimes, become worn over time as a difficulty metric. It bothers me because they go through all this fabulous work, and then fall back to a weak method of making it more difficult. I can suspend disbelief that one is in a time/space displacement experiment gone wrong, I can't suspend belief the iron pry bars break that easily...etc., ;) That all aside, I do love watching you play it with your great flare and well balanced professionalism and just having fun. So true this is like somehow the most true comment i've ever read, it's just that much of a fact :)
I'm so pumped for this gameplay! I live on the road full-time. Our truck and trailer is literally ready for the apocolypse (I'm not a doomsday prepper. I just hate having an electric bill, haha). I know what it's like to have to piece things together in the middle of nowhere to get your rig moving. Our truck is literally our lifeline in a lot of cases. This game hits super-close to home.

@OurSpaceshipEarth If they have solar panels and batteries, they wouldn't have to idle the engine very often. There are also many places that either have no policy against people parking overnight, or one that's ignored. For example, the vast majority of Walmarts will not bother you if you sleep in your car in their lot.

Work on better tires. Flares for dark areas, they give you plenty. The abductors can drag your car way off. If you are in your crafting menu and it says you need gears or such, look to the right if you have what’s needed you can craft the gears etc right on that same screen. Hope this helps. Please post more of this. Thank you

lol u kinda screwed yourself for the rest of the game on that 1st map.. the aim is to loot everything in order to upgrade your car.. the 1st zone is the safest you will ever get and has lots of loot. you will never get some of the best upgrades unless you start looting more and scrapping everything.

If you can screw the rest of the game on the first map it’s not a well thought out game, I just bought it and and running the first map and i have to say the UI is atrocious to the point you can only screw yourself on the first map. Plus my first map does not match his, some of the trailers he could just open have broken keypads that it suggests your hand being the best tool to use but nothing happens when you use your hands so you can’t get into them. Add that to the fact the backpack UI is a pain in the butt and you can only carry so much stuff, how are you even supposed to collect everything you find!
