I’m looking into this because I plan on getting an oculus quest and traveling bag for the oculus quest this would be a nice lock for its suitcase mainly because I have a younger sibling that I can’t trust around that stuff lol

I agree with Alex, if someone really wants to steal your stuff it's not going to help you. Maybe they can improve it in the future by pairing it with your phone if someone is trying to unlock it.

That is an idea...but the bluetooth range isn't great...so if you aren't close to it that wouldn't work...

Hi, it locked up in my bag ( Doesn't recognize my finger print 😭🥺 help please

If you want to buy this lock. Please use it to only secure items that are not very expensive or items that will be near you. For example using it to lock a bag is optimal. You will notice someone trying to pickpocket you or remove the lock before it is too late. However this is not a very secure lock and will be easily defeated if left unattended. Anyways if you know anything about lockpicking you know this lock is not safe at all. The cover around the fingerprint is plastic, easily destroyed. The metal piece holding it locked is very thin and fragile, a hammer or rock can smash the main thread open. The backplate appears to not be welded and seems to just have been snapped or glued in place, jamming a tiny metal piece inbetween the crack on the back could possibly be easy access. And the metal thread itself is so thin that it can be cut probably by using a regular scissor, for sure can be broken with any workshop cutting item. Most locks on the market sadly have either one or many huge weaknesses and most locks will be easily defeated by someone that has experience. However, the only lock I am aware of so far that is incredibly safe is the Noke lock and possibly it's succesors. The Noke lock is smart and thus can't be lock picked. The lock handle is made out of a very sturdy material, aswell as it's casing. It was impossible for the lockpicker I watched to force it open by hitting the top with a hammer. And also shimming and other such tricks does not work on it. The lockpicker had to saw through it with a metal cutter. Sturdy stuff.

Got mine delivered just now. $16 in the Philippines. 😁

I think I'd take a traditional lock over that. Sure any lock can be broken with enough determination... But that's an extremely thin cable. I feel it could easily be cut with just a cheap pair of side-cutters from Harbor Freight, or maybe just yanked/kicked off. The solid steel U loop you'll find on a traditional lock is going to require considerably more effort to break than this.

I have friends with no fingerprints ! Work with granite files the fingers completly smooth. Just info 😊 The shown lock is only for indoor use.

Get outta here with that fake news. Finger prints grow back. You would literally have to lose more than 90% of the skin on the finger pad for it to affect the fingerprint's ability to regenerate. And most finger print readers don't actually need a finger print anyhow, just a some typographical features in your skin. You can register a "finger print" with your palm.

@@pixelbat its absolutely not fake, my friend. A ticketing system in Denmark had to be altered, exactly because those workers from the granite works, could not use their fingerprints as ID. Its not unknown, except if you are only knowledgeable about indoor officework.

The fingerprint is secure. The steel wire is the weakness. Open in roughly one, max two minutes with a pair of small pliers. Open in one second with heavy pliers.

I won't disagree with that, but realistically one can break any lock... not only this one :) for the gym... a cabinet indoors, this is great imo

This is possibly one of the lowest security devices I have ever seen a basic padlock has more security. The only thing separating this lock from being broken is a small metal crimp.
