Holy crap another clean cressida that doesn't get drifted. I thought I was the only one. I started out with a clean stock mx83. Now it's a 1jz vvti/r154 swapped car with all the xcessive goodies, coilovers, work wheels, restored chassis, etc. I'm glad to see more of these cars being modded.

@vinnyycent5925 nope. It sat at the dealer for about a month for a starter and starter harness replacement that costed neatly $4,000 in repairs that warranty denied so I had to file an insurance claim.

Surprised a stock R154 is holding that power. Glad it still has an interior too.

id rather get a cd009 over and r154.

I just love jz powered cressidas and mark 2 chasers, if i had one id smoke the rubber all the time with that crazy turbo spool sound, the sound of these jz engines is just violent but soothing at the same time with that turbo spool

Haha pretty much did the same with mine. Built it to thrash it. Once I built it I didn't want to destroy it. Awesome build mate love it

But their everywhere i saw one today on the road to work at 6am you just never see em cause dudes like us build and drive our cars in the dark and early mornings. I hardly eved see traffic and I’m from the Bay Area. Cressida dudes just love seeing them too😂🤘🏽.

My dad had a Datsun, a Supra and a Cressida when I was a kid. He was a mechanic and I never really knew how special those cars were until I got a little older. 💯

I love it! I got a ways to go on my 90 Cressida. Yours is inspiring!

I had A 90 Cressy with a 7mgte/r 154 combo and everyone thought it was a Camry. Miss it a lot .Chassy roted out so I swapped almost all I had in it into a Volvo 240 wagon so in her memory I am calling it the Volvo 240 Cupra. C from the Cressy and Upra from the Supra engine. Nice job!!!i

I remember seeing this car around the island and Jersey with the white evo 9 back when I had dabbled with both my evos then went back to JZs. I have an og 5 speed is300 now with a built 2jzgte/t56/ grannas 8.8…can never go wiring with a JZ period

@@adonistorres1047 it’s a 3L. Actually wasn’t as bad as I thought. If I can remember correctly only the oil lines were different from the 1j/2j blocks and was a easy job for someone who knows what they are doing

I wish I could go back in time to high school. This was all I drove and as much as we liked to make fun of “moms car”. We knew enough to know, it was fast as fk, it would drift, it was RWD. Smoked several 5.0 GTs. But that was stock, long before tuning became a thing. We owned ‘84, ‘86, ‘89 Cressida All were driven in excess of 300k and probably 300k more for the next owner. They were Swiss watches from Japan.
