Love how she falls behind the guitarist in the third verse by doing extra vocal runs but manages to land back in key with precision at the chorus, i bet she could read music seems to know keys from an instrument player's perspective, quite rare for musicians nowadays.

+Zoroastrianistic Zoro She uses her voice like any other instrument, with her vocal runs timed like licks on a wind instrument. That guitarist was not playing with her - he was in his own world... I'm amazed she could sing with him at all. She can deffo read music - if you watch the 'Amy' docco they show bits of paper she left around with notes scribbled down on them to remember bits of songs she thought up.

BjorksMusic Any true talent has that ability. It’s so sad that’s it’s rare now.

She had pure talent in both her voice and lyrics. Her voice was like an instrument,and she played it so many different ways. Her lyrics are pure and brutally honest writing about experiences she had in her short life. She was unlike anybody who has came into the music scene in the past 50 years. She had her own unique sound, she could do each of her songs a 1000 different ways. She treated her talent with a "its not that big of a deal everyone can sing" attitude. . I only hope the family and record company will release more of her songs and recordings.

Respect Femi! Watched a few acoustic guitarists accompanying Amy - Femi, not only provides the correct chordal harmony, but lays down an infectious groove! Takes a 2 person version to the next level.

incredible rhythm. you can tell she is so influenced by and has massive appreciation for hip hop from hearing this. Every time time she sings a song it's very different in timing and embellishments just as a rapper would chance his/her flow to suit a beat. absolutely mesmerizing

@@emmyidamax She was massively influenced by hip hop. Was great friends with Nad, even shared the same birthday as him. Lots of those hip hop cats - Questlove, Mos Def, etc were in her inner circle.
