Lyrics:
For you, I was a flame
Love is a losing game
Five story fire as you came
Love is a losing game
One I wished I never played
Oh, what a mess we made
And now, the final frame
Love is a losing game
Played out by the band
Love is a losing hand
More than I could stand
Love is a losing hand
Self-professed, profound
'Til the chips were down
Know you're a gambling man
Love is a losing hand
Though I battle blind
Love is a fate resigned
Memories mar my mind
Love is a fate resigned
Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now, the final frame
Love is a losing game

I listen to Amy's music often when I'm feeling down. she was authentic, talented, and not afraid to be herself. she had star quality and a voice like no one else. it's tragic that this beautiful soul lost her battle with her addictions. it's tragic that she couldn't be helped by others and couldn't help herself. her music lives on in our hearts. she continues to draw people in because she had that talent. she was real. and she will always be one of my favorite singers

Very easy to forget she was only 27 when she died and had to endure an industry machine im not sure she wanted to be a part of. She was always rebelling and I truly believe a lot of her choices were rebellion against a career she wanted but ultimately wanted to fight against the machine as it did NOT suit her mentality, mental health or whatever you want to call it. She was what she was, a truly hyper sensitive songwriter who channeled all that shit into songs. Remarkable and bravely lyrically honest songwriter. Each year her loss to us as an audience us feels greater. X
Still after 13 years, this song still has me thinking about what a tragedy it was to lose her! The tears are still with me..

For those who weren't in the UK when Amy was at her peak, both musically and recreationally, her death was particularly sad. She was easy meat for tabloids, paparazzi and slimeball gossip columnists. Day in, day out there were cruel pictures and words put out about her falling out of a club in the early hours. Her love for Blake was doomed to tragedy, the guy was clearly an arsehole but she loved him so much. I remember an episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks where Simon Amstell quipped that she should have said 'Yes yes yes' to rehab, such was the open season on Amy. Such a sad end for such a beautiful talent. RIP Amy x

Amy did go to rehab in 2009, her doctor warned her about what more alcohol could do to her body (considering it was already in not the best state due to the drug consume and eating disorders she had in the previous years) and she told her doctor that she did not want to die. she got a lot better after rehab, gained weight again and all, but she sadly relapsed in 2011. may she rest in peace, deserved much better.
I refuse to believe that there is no auto tune. How can a voice sounds so perfect ?
This gets to me everytime and it feels like I'm listening to the song for the very first time.

Timeless. R.I.P. Amy💎🙏🏾
Every time I hear her sing I'm left speechless. No other voice in the world can beat hers. She was so unique.
You can feel emotion in her voice that we can relate to in our everyday lives i think. She is magnificent, i was living in Australia when she hit it big, but now i am back home in the UK, i am listening to her stuff, it's not only brilliant but also heart-breaking also. Everything is addictive about her, even listening to her, i think it's called honesty.
Amy became a legend with just 2 albums * two masterpieces*. RIP Amy, we all love you❤

The lyrics are very simple, but the depth of emotion expressed is incredible. Amy's voice really adds such a level of complexity... she was just in a whole separate lane🐐🐐🐐🐐
So beautifully done. She will be terribly missed. Rest easy amy.
Undoubtedly one of Amy's best performances! Her voice is so soothing and powerful yet incredibly vulnerable. You were a rough diamond Amy, a true gem... Shine on crazy diamond! 💎 R.I.P. Amy Jade Winehouse ❤

With all my heart Amy, I hope you have found the peace this world couldn't provide
When she says: “Well, I wished I never played” I’m feeling that I’m about to cry cause I’m feeling like her rn
The emotion it evokes so effordless ,like velvet just beautiful RIP 🙏🙏 Amy ,a legand
I am still crying after Amy, she was the only "real artist" in music industry. The rest are businessmen/women or very fake imitation of her. Amy had the same level of artistic personality as Van Gogh, Dostoyevski and Beethoven ,there was no other way for her to live a"normal" life.this is the bitter truth.

A true "Artist" only Amy sounds like Amy and she sounds different each time you hear her sing the same song. Brutally honest song writing and a jazz/hip hop sound all her own always leading never following and never compromising her art.
