Even though Jerry was messy, during the first season he kept telling her to do what she needed to do to get healthy and listen to the doctors. I think it’s more of jealousy and self hate that holds her back. She’s very pessimistic about life in general.

@@freedomofspeech2420 absolutely agree! He reminded her several times to follow doctors orders, you could see how bothered he was from her change in mobility from when he visited her in Atlanta and coming to her home. Bbw king is the worst thing that could happen to her

Tammy was actually doing great around this time. She was literally walking, doing stuff, she seemed relieved that she was doing better. Now it’s just.. sad to see where everything has gone.

Amy being like "that's 100lbs... thats like a whole middle schooler!" and Tammy being jokey and witty makes me so happy. It's a shame their relationship deteriorated.

My heart really breaks for them - not meaning to sound patronising, but if their mum had been able to be more supportive of them and showered them with love and affection growing up I truly believe they wouldn't have become so dangerously overweight. It's wonderful to see both sisters making such progress now!

this is an old video. Amy lost more weight, and she has an adorable baby boy named Gage. She loves that baby so much! She is a great mom. Tammy gained all her weight back, and even more. She is on oxygen now, and has to use her walker. She only had 10 pds to go at this point to be able to get her surgery. It's a shame really. I hope she turns it beck around again. Really want her to succeed and be around for a long time. She is an auntie now. I hope that gives her more motivation

I hate to break it to you, but Tammy gained everything back in a month after this was filmed.

Oh wow. I've never seen Tammy this mobile and happy. Knowing what is to come a year later for her is heartbreaking. She was even supportive of Amy and encouraging her. She's less bitter.

@@madddie859 Very true I was born without a thyroid...congenital hypothyroidism. My Endocrinologist was always shocked I was never overweight because normally people with my condition can be obese. Now there have been times like after I had my children where I was 20 to 30lbs overweight but I've always lost it quickly. But yes you're right the thyroid affects your weight and honestly everything in so many ways.

I'm so happy for Amy, knowing she kept kicking goals and actually has had a baby now is wonderful. 💞 I can't help but feel sad for Tammy though, I so badly hope she can work towards her goals too and get the results she wants. They both are such lovely women and deserve to live their lives the best way for them and with the most happiness possible.

I feel sorry for tammy also. It must be very hard for her to lose weight because she needs help and not to be judged by her family because she hasn't lost the weight for her surgery and her sister did. She needs support from her family more than her following because she has to deal with them in person and not on TV....it must be just awful for her

This story is very inspiring especially for people who aren't as bad off but are still struggling to lose weight and get healthy, this shows that you can do it, it just takes determination!

Her parents are like mine. Don't know how to give affection. At least they said they were proud..I've never heard that and never will...I'm proud that I don't continue the cycle..my kids know I love them and they get all the hugs and kisses necessary

I noticed that the parents don’t really hug a whole lot but when the uncle and aunts came they hugged

It's so sad seeing this knowing where she's at right now, she only had 10 more pounds to go and she could have gotten her surgery! I hope she goes back and watches this and sees how happy she was when she was doing it the right way and gets motivation to get moving again before it's too late.

Yea sadly this is right when covid hit so everything closed and she was stuck in the house during that time so ig that made her discouraged

I love them! It's never too late for change physically, mentally and emotionally. Proud of mom for showing humility. May she be blessed with her own healing journey.

it's funny how Tammy wanted her whole family at her house for the housewarming and the mum came too, but when it was for Amy, Tammy and her mother couldn't be bothered to even enter the house.

Michael has regained weight. It seems the entire family has serious issues with overeating. It takes a long time. This was before Gage was born.

Correct. Amy is doing well. Cute, cute little baby and continuing to get healthier. Tammy is now 665lbs and last I checked in a nursing home of sorts. She is very close to being completely bedridden sadly and won't be around much longer at this rate.
