That sensory deprivation helmet must be broken if he can smell Sheldon’s baby powder.

Idk, randomly yelling about smelling baby powder when that has nothing to do with the experiment you're doing is a kind of annoying Sheldon has yet to achieve, it actually set off more pet peeves for me than anything Sheldon ever did 😅

I always found it funny that my gma would talk about how annoying Sheldon is, when a lot of the stuff she was saying that about, she would do the exact same thing. It's all a matter of perspective, unfortunately. They don't see it as annoying when they're the one doing it. 🤦

Eh, I'd shock the guy if I could too, his responses had nothing to do with the experiment he agreed to do. It's not so much that annoying people should be shocked, so much as it's a neural experiment which stereotypically comes with shocks, regardless of the fact that most do not. But yeah, the guy yelling about smelling baby powder for no reason despite being told it's nothing to worry about, especially since he had no reason to vocalize anything about what he smells, is honestly a greater pet peeve than anything Sheldon has ever done

@homerman76 that's your opinion, I highly disagree with your opinion. The guy talking about baby powder is nothing compared to Sheldon making Leonard wear a sweater that was causing physical damage, the guy talking about baby powder was nothing compared to Sheldon constantly shaming Penny for her lifestyle choices, the guy talking about baby powder is nothing compared to Sheldon belittling Howard every chance he gets because Howard doesn't have a PhD and is a engineer, even more examples but I'm not listing everything Sheldon has said or done that's terrible, especially more terrible than talking about smelling baby powder

I’m surprised Amy didn’t ask Sheldon to help with her sensory deprivation experiment. Then again, it’s probably best that she didn’t.

Maybe she did, but an experiment of that variety would need multiple different test subjects and is better done with random volunteers (random sampling is very important in such studies to avoid skewing the results.) The most you would want close friends, family and associates for is to make sure that everything is working properly, for data collection you move onto sampling random individuals to assess how the conditions affect people on average

Again, how do people think Sheldon developed as a character? He’s still completely selfish and egotistical, thinking only his research and wants matter. He interpreted Amy want to work on her own stuff as somehow a bad thing. The only difference is the show pandered to it in the later seasons instead of calling him out like in the early ones. It’s painful how the writers, and by extension the show itself, went from sorta unrealistic to COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC in regards to this character

His character developed a lot, if you compare the first season with the last one you'll clearly notice... but the unawareness towards his friends' feelings would probably never die down completely... in fact, it's the main subject of the finale, the way Sheldon is still selfish and self-centered, which leads to his final speech on the show.

Sheldon Cooper : I have a very long and somewhat self-centered speech here. But I'd like to set it aside. Penny Hofstadter : Yeah! Howard Wolowitz : Way to go! Sheldon Cooper : Because this honor doesn't just belong to me. I wouldn't be up here if it weren't for some very important people in my life. Beginning with my mother, father, meemaw, brother, and sister. And my other family, who I'm so happy to have here with us. Is that Buffy the Vampire Slayer? [Sarah waves from her seat next to Raj] Sheldon Cooper : I was under a misapprehension that my accomplishments were mine alone. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have been encouraged, sustained, inspired, and tolerated not only by my wife, but by the greatest group of friends anyone ever had. I'd like to ask them to stand. [they do so as he acknowledges them] Sheldon Cooper : Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali. Dr. Bernadette Rostenkowski Wolowitz. Astronaut Howard Wolowitz. And my two dearest friends in the world, Penny Hofstadter... and Dr. Leonard Hofstadter. I was there the moment Leonard and Penny met. He said to me that their babies would be smart and beautiful. And now that they're expecting, I have no doubt that that will be the case. Penny Hofstadter : [crying] Thanks, Sheldon. I-I haven't told my parents yet, but thanks. Sheldon Cooper : Oh. I'm sorry. Don't tell anyone that last thing. That's a secret. Howard, Bernadette, Raj, Penny, Leonard, I apologize if I haven't been the friend you deserve. But I want you to know in my way, I love you all. [to Amy] Sheldon Cooper : And I love you. Thank you. ^^^^^^^^ Tell me that’s not character development.

@@Puggalug yeah last second “development” after treating his friends like garbage the whole time and only realizing what an ass he is when called out on it. Where his only excuse is the same as always: “I didn’t mean too”. Its empty. That speech is good, but it only came cause it was the end. Years of treating his friend like nothing

Re George in Young Sheldon - Hey TBBT channel why don't you upload AN EDITED version of the scene with Penny & Sheldon eliminating or rewriting the scene that was RETCONNED. hahahaha lol it's totally a retcon this is exactly the solution i had in mind except i couldn't think of how it was a retcon. COME ON how is this not a retcon? the writers should've owned up and said 'pretend the scene with penny never happened and now we're doing a new thing' Sheldon even had that catholic confession thing w/ Tam over something not as big as adultery. And you think Sheldon would keep quiet over adultery??!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA the writers should rewrite that scene with sheldon & penny. What they could've done is say 'hey we changed our minds. Actually it makes more sense Sheldon's dad isn't a neglectful drunk. Sheldon's dad's support is a big part of why Sheldon is so successful. We'll rewrite TBBT scenes later. Bear with us please.' Better than a RETCON.
