I think the forehead touch thing portrayed alot of passion and emotion and I think with such good actors they really made it mean alot all the small touches together made it feel more than just a kiss because the eye contact between them is just there 🥺❤ they are such a cute couple tho

Eh… not everything. The Doward interrogation scene was pointless, time better spent elsewhere. And another kiss would have been nice. Glad for positive ending, but a little letdown overall, personally.

@@csmith5420 i also agree that they could have finished with a kiss, the only downside, but at least they didn’t kill one of them off like they do with many other lesbian characters, hopefully if we get a season two they will explore the relationship more

@@bellambini Je me sens aussi frustrée de ne pas avoir "de baiser" à la fin, mais est ce que ce n'est pas à cause du covid qu'il n'y a pas eu de baiser ? J'avais lu qu'ils avaient dû interrompre le tournage à cause du covid, et si le dernier épisode a été tourné après la reprise.... Mais une petite larme sur la joue de Kirsten après qu'Amy lui ait avoué qu'elle l'aimait, cela aurait pu compenser ! Elle attendait visiblement cette déclaration depuis un moment.

Brilliant acting by both throughout. Sensitive, emotional, without being ott. Watching it here made covid lockdown in Auckland bearable

It’s not her daughter it’s her partner’s that died, partly because Amy didn’t save him so imo it was more than sexuality struggles, Amy obviously told girl’s grandparents about Kirsten as her current partner, it’s pretty bold.

@@MayaBishopStan Poppy had told Kirsten when she dropped off the birthday gift that she knew who she was because of seeing the photos on her Mom's phone. And, then she hugged Kirsten before she left. She knew she was more than a friend.

Lovely, cute and passionate couple! You can feel the love for each other. The best actresses for these characters I think. (I miss a hug at the end though)

The first word that came into my mouth after watching this scene was "Aaaaawwwwww"🥺🥺

There is always a party in love that clings to the strength of his heart on the relationship, and opposite we have this lost and confused lover . I see here a discussion between two lovers is all pain because of the intensity of love, for a moment you don't know when to cuddle or when to stop crying... I see it as creativity as long as the scene was empty of kisses, only two fronts, one of them leaning on the other, in search of a half conviction .

This scene is actually quite similar to the reunion scene in gentleman jack

The writers were talking about it from around when episode 3 was released and I think there's alot of story still to these characters and alot they can build on, also the drama has been pretty popular, so I'm definitely very hopeful

Amy was raising her boyfriend's daughter up until his death. So, she is essentially the step-mother and Poppy's biological mother is deceased. This is why Poppy wound up with the grandparents initially, while Amy was struggling with PTSD after the accident.

Maybe it's just me, but Kirsten's character seems cold af?! 🤔 Like she can't comprehend what it's like to be unsure or scared etc about a NEW feeling, so therefore just shuts it down as "well, you're not interested, full stop!" sort of thing. It's like dude, give her a break, we're not all the same.

That’s not a fair assertion at all - Right from the start Kirsten showed Amy nothing but devotion, patience and love. Unfortunately, because of Amy’s various internal issues, she was often cold and shut off herself. So Kirsten was not wrong at all in reacting in the way she did to that.

We really only saw snippets of their relationship, they were together for at least several months, but the time wasn't completely clear. What we do know is Kirsten made her feelings known over that time and Amy kept her feelings hidden. Kirsten wanted to move forward in the relationship and Amy stalled, wanting to keep things as they were. She just didn't communicate. If she had, Kirsten would have been understanding.

Some people don’t want to chase. If the subject of their affection isn’t forthcoming then it’s hard for them to remain committed to the “cause”. It’s not hard to comprehend how the more direct party may feel left in the cold by the one who feels the new stuff and is apprehensive about it. It’s why communication is important. If being bonked on the head and thrown in a missile chamber doesn’t clear your mind, I don’t know what would!

If you watch past the 3 episodes, her vulnerable side shines through more, with more layers.

Suranne not aging well. Not attractive at all.....find her an unconvincing actress

I think that Rose handled this scene better. Maybe the actors got tired already and it was getting on their nerves because they had to redo the scene a lot of times.
