..What are you even talking about? The story is based on a book, which is ABOUT THE LIFE OF ADAMS CHARACTER. How is it lazy to stay true to the book? It's lazy to compain about the plot when you don't even know this.

Seen several interviews with her, probably the least pretentious actress in Hollywood. If she won an award you know she'd use her acceptance speech to thank those who helped her to that position. The way that civilised people behave!

I cried during the last 20 to 15 minutes of the movie when the plot started clicking together in my brain. I had lost my mother the year before and the proposition the movie poses really broke my heart and it still does no matter how many times I've seen this film already. Would you make the same choices and experience the same love and joy, knowing it would end in the most heartbreaking pain you'll ever know. This movie is so incredibly profound and touches me to my core!

Me too. I have just finished it and I cried so much in the last 20 minutes. But I cried not because I was sad but because there's a beauty in this movie, in this message, it's something no word can ever explain. This is truly beautiful. Greetings from Brazil?

best performance by an actress hands down and she wasn't even nominated for an oscar...

I remembered that Oscar performance, it was insane. All the other performers had back-up dancers and props to distract the viewers attention from the singers, but Amy, poor Amy got a mic stand. And she had to sing in front of all those Hollywood A-listers when she herself was only just starting to rise into prominence. But, eversince that performance, i have mad respect for her.

I just watched this movie. SO GOOD. I loved it. Subtle and slow but so worth every minute. It's a very appreciative movie. You've got to appreciate the whole project. So well done. All good without any real action especially for aliens. It's a mom. Brilliant.

"It's a mother telling a story to her daughter." This film is so touching. God only knows how many tears I have shed watching it. It amazes me to listen to male reviewers who only talk about science and totally miss its emotive content.

He was a coward with Amy. Isabelle Huppert - also on the table - was with Lily Tomlim and saw the mess on the set of "Huckabees". Only ~relatable~ actresses have nerves to work with that kind motherfucker.

I'm proud to say that my digital painting teacher, Meinert Hansen, was one of the first concept artist to design the look of the aliens for Arrival.

She's so real LOVE HER.

I usually stay clear from infotainment, but these THR-round tables are actually interesting. They bypass all tabloid and talkshow nonsense and show the nobility of the acting profession.

I think she might get an Oscar Arrival was flawless a true masterpiece

It was a self reference, because she sang the song "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp", from the film Hustle And Flow, at the Oscars. And the song talks about pimps and whores.

Haha, I'm with you on that. But in these 4 minutes long clips, he acts normally, like a real journalist should. So I hope when they release the whole thing, he's gonna be decent in it.
