В России заботу и охрану больших редких кошек : тигров, леопардов, снежных барсов - контролирует лично сам президент Путин . На это выделяются средства бюджета, и созданы заповедники и специальные ветеринарные станции. За убийство животного - штраф.

I once had the privilege to visit a group of tigers in Florida City. It was an exotic rescue and rehabilitation facility. A number of the animals were rehabbed,so well,they were used in films. There were 7 bengals, and they brought out the largest male of them for a close contact encounter. Nothing,between us,and him. He was 4 feet at the shoulder,every bit of 600 lbs,and just absolutely a presence. We lined up,8 of us,him standing in front of us. He was longer than us together,I would say 7,8 feet of body and head,tail,his tail... His tail was, I would say, 5,6 feet long. He play swiped the guy on the end to the ground with it,lol. Keeper put him on a picnic table and fed him 1/4 chicken snacks to keep him occupied. I got to pet him on his side and feel him,he was the most solid muscled animal I've ever touched. It was both the most intensely exciting and terrifying, like skydiving encounters I'll never forget. There's no theatre,tv, or film that can give you that like being right next to one of them in real life.

Sorry to tell you this but most "facts" and books written about wild animals are almost always exaggerated when it comes to describing the size and power of large animals. Even literal encyclopedias have these figures all over the place. Please understand that hunters always exaggerate their kills in order to impress others of their own skill. Any tiger weighing 400kg+ is going to be an extremely overfed fat ass wasting away in a zoo. Tigers just don't get that big naturally. Not unless it literally just finished eating 80kg-150kg of meat. Tigers on average range between 180kg- 280kg. 280kg is still very big. In short, pretty much everything in that short description of the tiger is all a lie and extremely exaggerated.

Только в зоопарках они могут откормиться до 280-300кг, но это будет уже ожиревшая ленивая кошка а не дикий зверь убийца.

@@vannghia3105 as far i know he was only weighed one time that's when he has treated for his injury on the back or spine and he can't even move he weighed 235kg and his tail wasn't in the weighing mechine . The rest of them might be estimations and then the photographers who saw both "jeltizin " which weighed 270kg and "Igor" and according to them Igor is a bigger animal than jeltizin . So his prime weight could be even higher he weighed at 12y old or something

If you compare wild amur tigers with wild bengal tigers, they are almost similar in size this days, due to habitat loss amur tiger decreased in size as well as weight, same way by getting better habitat & conversation projects in wild the bengal tiger have slightly increased size & weight, so in wild this days you will see avg male bengal tigers is (9-9.5) feet in length whereas amurs (9.5-10.5) feet in length, only in captivity the amur tigers reach those mamoth 11 feet length and offcourse some captive bengal tiger may also reach just above 10 feet in length

Amur tigers are not as big as they used to be because the biggest tigers were the choice of hunters and poachers and this left the smaller males for the main breeding stock. Nothing to do with habitat.

Так же мясокомбинат Мираторг выбивает всех кабанов, основную пищу тигров, из за страха заражения своих свиней от них. Из за нехватки кормовой базы, тигры обмельчали. В пример можно привести северных и степных волков. Северные крупнее, потому, что охотится приходится на оленей, лосей, кабанов. У степных в рационе зайцы, суслики и всякая мелочь, им не нужно быть крупными...

Large tiger = 700 pounds, Large Kodiak brown = 1500 pounds and over 10ft, bear is bigger, stronger and with endless endurance and is used to fighting other Large pissed off grumpy male bears. Tiger has no chance on bitting thru fat and muscle around the bears neck. Tiger gets exhausted in minutes bear can go hard for 40 minutes, Bear would use that little tiger as tooth pick.

No, Bengal tigers from the Uttarakhand, Nepal, Bhutan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Assam regions are MASSIVE and comparable to Siberian Tigers. This forest belt is home to Indian Gaur, Elephants and even one horned rhinoceros. Sadly they are almost extinct in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh but still you can watch videoes of som of these massive individuals from Kaziranga and Jim Corbett national parks

He was 4 feet at the shoulder,every bit of 600 lbs,and just absolutely a presence. We lined up,8 of us,him standing in front of us. He was longer than us together,I would say 7,8 feet of body and head,tail,his tail... His tail was, I would say, 5,6 feet long. He play swiped the guy on the end to the ground with it,lol. Keeper put him on a picnic table and fed him 1/4 chicken snacks to keep him occupied. I got to pet him on his side and feel him,he was the most solid muscled animal I've ever touched. It was both the most intensely exciting and terrifying, like skydiving encounters I'll never forget. There's no theatre,tv, or film that can give you that like being right next to one of them in real life.

This was always interesting to me. Polar bears are way smaller in captivity than they are in the wild. But captive Siberian tigers are massive compared to their wild counterpart

Sorry to tell you this but most "facts" and books written about wild animals are almost always exaggerated when it comes to describing the size and power of large animals. Even literal encyclopedias have these figures all over the place. Please understand that hunters always exaggerate their kills in order to impress others of their own skill. Any tiger weighing 400kg+ is going to be an extremely overfed fat ass wasting away in a zoo. Tigers just don't get that big naturally. Not unless it literally just finished eating 80kg-150kg of meat. Tigers on average range between 180kg- 280kg. 280kg is still very big. In short, pretty much everything in that short description of the tiger is all a lie and extremely exaggerated.

Только в зоопарках они могут откормиться до 280-300кг, но это будет уже ожиревшая ленивая кошка а не дикий зверь убийца.

@@vannghia3105 as far i know he was only weighed one time that's when he has treated for his injury on the back or spine and he can't even move he weighed 235kg and his tail wasn't in the weighing mechine . The rest of them might be estimations and then the photographers who saw both "jeltizin " which weighed 270kg and "Igor" and according to them Igor is a bigger animal than jeltizin . So his prime weight could be even higher he weighed at 12y old or something

If you compare wild amur tigers with wild bengal tigers, they are almost similar in size this days, due to habitat loss amur tiger decreased in size as well as weight, same way by getting better habitat & conversation projects in wild the bengal tiger have slightly increased size & weight, so in wild this days you will see avg male bengal tigers is (9-9.5) feet in length whereas amurs (9.5-10.5) feet in length, only in captivity the amur tigers reach those mamoth 11 feet length and offcourse some captive bengal tiger may also reach just above 10 feet in length

Amur tigers are not as big as they used to be because the biggest tigers were the choice of hunters and poachers and this left the smaller males for the main breeding stock. Nothing to do with habitat.

Так же мясокомбинат Мираторг выбивает всех кабанов, основную пищу тигров, из за страха заражения своих свиней от них. Из за нехватки кормовой базы, тигры обмельчали. В пример можно привести северных и степных волков. Северные крупнее, потому, что охотится приходится на оленей, лосей, кабанов. У степных в рационе зайцы, суслики и всякая мелочь, им не нужно быть крупными...

Large tiger = 700 pounds, Large Kodiak brown = 1500 pounds and over 10ft, bear is bigger, stronger and with endless endurance and is used to fighting other Large pissed off grumpy male bears. Tiger has no chance on bitting thru fat and muscle around the bears neck. Tiger gets exhausted in minutes bear can go hard for 40 minutes, Bear would use that little tiger as tooth pick.

This forest belt is home to Indian Gaur, Elephants and even one horned rhinoceros. Sadly they are almost extinct in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh but still you can watch videoes of som of these massive individuals from Kaziranga and Jim Corbett national parks
