    Nice one! Always interesting to see the insides of these. Will definitely copy the input jack grounding being a separate ground in my future builds.

    Really great video, thanks a lot! Good to see a confirmation of bass terminals 2 and 3 connected. I wonder if it differs from the JM sig in the treble department, to my ears it seems that the TC has more top end on tap and that the available range of the treble pot is significantly larger when compared to the JM sig.

    At this point Ryan, I would love to see you do something different, just as a 'breather' video on your channel. Maybe something like how Mayer uses his 3 amp setup? And why you think THOSE particular amps excel in that area

    Great video. Would be nice to see you do a trace and offer the schematic for sale? Would love to see you do a walk-through of a Classic Reverb Signature. Keep it up, mate!!! I really enjoy your videos.

    Very nice amp - I would love to see a more in-depth circuitry video. Even though I care for the brands of the components what matters the most to me is the circuitry so I would love to see more of that. Keep up the great work you are doing Ryan - both for me and the whole community.

    I agree. There s so much contradictory info about this amp and the sig, and whether it is sss, ods (clean channel), or fender based, etc etc. Would love to see a video that actually looks at circuits (this, sig, SSS etc) and kinda closes the discussion.

    I'd say it's a solid build and refined approach to building an amp. I personally didn't trace the amp so I cannot comment much about the actual circuitry however I always learn something from observing other builders. This amp is no exception ⚡

    Out of curiosity (since you reversed engineer it), do you know what is the overall cost of the components for an amp such the Two-Rock JM (or other similar Two-Rock).

  • @TheToneGeek

    @TheToneGeek

    Жыл бұрын

    Strictly components (chassis, headshell, resistors, capacitors, transformers, tubes) they are $1,200-1500 without a large ordering quantity of components. I cannot say how much the R&D of an amp influences the cost of an amp in the end.

  • @Spidouz

    @Spidouz

    @@TheToneGeek Of course, and it’s without labor, warranty, distribution margins and such, so I’m not judging the final price. I just wonder the BOM difference between let say a Studio Signature (sold in the $3k range) and a Bloomfield (sold in the $6k range).

  • @TheToneGeek

    @TheToneGeek

    Жыл бұрын

    @@Spidouz oh gosh.. I bet there is not much difference to be honest between the two.. transformers and tubes would be the only difference.. assuming they are buying in bulk too, I say the 1,200-1,500 is still applicable
