I bought the cyan one and already upgraded to brushless. Put in the flycolor 45 amp esc and the rlaarlo brushless motor. The car is a beast and everything fits nicely under the body. The rlaarlo motor comes with the proper mount that just fits rite in. Thanks for the video.

Yeah, and probably aluminum shocks too right? Yes. The current models as far as I know come with the 60amp. The original came with 35 or 40 amps. I say or because they came out of (I'm not sure as of now) the same factory that the WLtoys came out of and I've seen both. But after Rlaarlo/Riaario gained traction they upgraded their base models as well. Actually in this video I just happen to hold up my original car and you can see the shocks are plastic and the paint scheme didn't have that cool smoke camo thing going on. If you get a chance visit the Rlaarlo/Riaario site because they're about to drop a new vehicle. Thanks for the comment! You're spot on!

When will you release your brushless build? I love my Amoril, and after burning up 2 of the stock 550 motors on 3s speed runs, I switched it out with the RIAARIO brushless system, and on a 35c 3s am hitting about 53 mph. Not in any competition, just a speed junkie

Oh man. You know I never got around to it but I have some good footage I could put together. I did the build twice. Once prior to the Rlaarlo competition and then one for the competition. I was sitting at 87 mph before my first major crash and I destroyed the car. Ordered another and rebuilt another brushless. At the same time Rlaarlo sent me the brushless purple version. The day I went out to run the blue one for my competition entry a guy went by me in his truck and as I past him at speed I turned my head and inadvertently turned the wheel slightly to the right and hit a curb at about 90. Bent the car in half. So I take out the purple brushless just to get a time in and that little thing was fast enough to qualify out of the box but I lost signal because the range is so poor and I hit a different curb. Wasn't even during the speed run. I was dialing in the trim and lost it. It didn't hit as bad but it bent the driveshaft and I was out. I've had so many other projects I never got back to it but I need to. Thanks for reminding me! But yes, I did the build twice. Once for myself, , then for the speed challenge, wrecked twice, and wrecked the brushless. I have all the parts I need but stepped away after a very disheartening day. I'm just getting around to testing their 1/18th now because my holidays were so busy! Thanks for the comment. I'll make sure to get a vid up!

@redvikinghobbies Thats awesome man! Did the RIAARIO one have the carbon fiber belly, or aluminum? Was debating if switching to carbon or not, or if there was much of a weight reduction between the two for it to be worth it. I just ordered the tires you showed on this video to try out. I had another set from amazon, looked like road slicks, but was a little wet so spun the tires at 50ish and blew a tire out. Even with the weight of this thing, I've been having problems with it popping a wheelie and flipping at speed when I go WOT, even with the wheelie bar on, so was running aluminum wheels hopping to keep it on the road, but drops my speed a few mph

@Nathan Bus yes, it was the carbon fiber and yes it pops wheelies incessantly so my intention was to put the foam bumper guard on with weights in place of foam but never got to it because the crash with that car was do to losing range while I was setting the trim. It's incredibly fast out of the box and I don't know if they since fixed it but the range on the vehicles was terrible. I literally augered into a curb because I lost signal. Had both my hands above my head like a fool trying to get it back before impact but no luck. I'd assumed since it was a problem on the brushed model that it was fixed for the carbon fiber brushless release. Not so. There's been talk in the forums that it's much better now but I wouldn't know. Have to test these 1/18ths and see if anything was done. This car, the blue one, was a blast out of the box. I kind of wish I'd kept it stock but the range is really for backyard or at the park kind of stuff. Pretty awful for a speed run. I had swapped to a DX5 when I put the Spektrum brushless I had in and then to a Flysky when I went to Hobbywing. Truth is though I'm not a speed chaser. I do mods and custom builds but the really high speed stuff I just don't have a good place to run. I live in the hill country in Texas and take my cars to huge parking lots at industrial parks to run my Felony or Infraction but I literally go to the racetrack to run my X0-1. They have a long enough parking area to get to speed. Everywhere by me is tough because there are rock quarries and dust and debris everywhere on the roads. Quite terrible for high speed vehicles here so I don't spend much time on that. It's also a very small group of guys that are hitting those Raz Shifrin speeds and it doesn't have that much appeal to me. There's so many cool vehicles it's hard to dump all my time and effort into one kind. It's good and bad but I'm all over the place. Thanks again for your input!

Hope that's the right link. They're M.A.K. Wheels and tires but after the tires started to come unglued from the wheels heating up back in December I took the tires off and replaced them and put them to the side to run some aluminum rims. I've got so many rim and tire combos I hope I sent the right link. If the one you liked was gold let me know. I ran those for awhile too and I think they're in one of my shorts or on Instagram. Don't forget you'll need a new transmitter/receiver. It's unbelievable for that price!

Yes they absolutely are! The Amoril is the upgraded version of the Rlaarlo. So you're getting the same platform because they're all from the same factory. This one just has more metal. The only necessary change would be the metal centerline driveshaft because it comes with the metal spur. However. If you like this they have the brushless version of their original in carbon fiber and it is 60mph out of the box and a blast. Here's the a link. My comparison review will be up soon. I'll definitely take a look at that but I meant more like would the steering rods marketed for the WLToys 144001 model be compatible with this because i hear they are really fragile on this. I dont really know much about RC cars since this is my first one.

Yes. And there's a great line of communication between Rlaarlo and their customers. If you have any issues they'll handle them. For example the original dogbones on this were made out of a metal that people were finding inferior to the original Rlaarlo. They corrected it and put out a pic of the new car's dogbones and only filled orders with the new parts going forward. Same was true with the front shock tower on the carbon fiber so they increased the width of it to garnish more support. Here's the FB link to keep you up to date but they're incredibly responsive to customers. I just put up a short of their new 1/14th truck and watch me drop that thing. Plants excellent. That was the first run and it's a 550 motor (which btw is awesome in the Amoril) and can be swapped to brushless very easy. Very progressive brand. If you look back at my original Rlaarlo video, in my playlist, you'll see it head to head with the WLtoys. Since then even all the red cars get aluminum oil filled shocks when my original came plastic. I actually posted the first Rlaarlo review because I'm a fan of WLtoys as well. Actually I use the SKYRC GSM020 but I have to use it on my iPad or an old iPhone. My galaxy S22 doesn't work with it anymore. But I also have the GSM-015 (2 actually and an identical one from Dynamite) because I often lose signal where I do speed runs with the GSM020. So when it works it's great but when it doesn't I go old school with the gray gsm015. Thanks for the question! Powerhobby is making it as well if you decide not to get the SKYRC.

Hey, before you go and do all that take a look at this...rlaarlo.com/pages/112-landing-page This is their new brushless Amoril. There's also a Rlaarlo blue one. Same car, 2 colors/names. It's 1/12th, 3s capable, carbon chassis, brushless motor and 150 meter range. For what you're talking about I'd buy this before the Amoril original if your intent is to change it. If you already have what you need to do the build go ahead and shop for the cheapest price on this car. However my favorite selling point on this was how fast this brushed system was and how tough the car is for the price. If you wanted to stay 1/14th their purple brushless carbon fiber is the way to go. I actually wrecked mine during the speed challenge they had at about 90mph. I have the parts to fix it but once this was announced I bought both colors straight away. I'll do a video on them when I get them but don't think they ship til December. But if they're still available at 149.99 it's a steal. Thanks for the question! (It's not in front of me now but I believe the Reflex servo is a standard size and wouldn't work in this car. You think I'd remember. Have 2 Reflex. But the new cars are 3 wire standard servos I believe and I think they made a point of saying that because the old ones weren't. Thinking on it more I'm sure they're not. But I don't remember what's in my Reflexes.) Hope this helps out!

@@redvikinghobbies Thanks for the reply. I did buy two of the new 12th scale in both colors(one for my son). I also purchased a new purple rlaarlo. I also found the Amoril on eBay new in the box fairly inexpensive. So I bought two of those as well. But after looking at the website, I think I’m just going to purchase the brushless motor that comes on the rlaarlo from them and swap out the ESC and put a standard receiver so I can bind it with my spectrum receiver. What are your thoughts on that?

@Hoonya Mapes Thank you. I highly recommend the purple one which you should know also comes in gray/gold. The warning would be it's so quick remember it only has a 500ft range. Like said I’m just getn back into RC after 30yrs lol so information I’m seeking. Even though back then had kyosho inferno dx but that was long ago still got it needs everything new. I got 2 helicopters beginners and 2 FMS smashers which I love.

The Radiolink is fine but there's is a combo esc/receiver in the purple model so you'll need an independent esc and radiolink receiver. I would play with it first and see how you do for range and then decide.

@@troymoney31tm Yeah, there's a lot of 1/14th and 1/16th options out there and on this one it's such a beast you could get away with running 1/10ths on it if you're on hard pack. And if you're going for speed some carpet foams on street runs are excellent!

I put a 3s in my amoril and it burned up soon as I connected the battery.i had the other car to I sent both back to Amazon and got the wltoys 144001 I liked them so much I got another I won't run 3s on them though they have a 60amp to and I get in the mid 30s on them for the price cant beat it.thats just my experience.

Oh I love the Wltoys stuff. Don't get me wrong. But this is a very impressive brushed car for the money. I have about 9 Wltoys buggies. From 1/14th to 1/10th. You look at the WL brushless? It's a blast!
