To those who say "he's too old, please retire, his voice was better in his prime than now..." guys, he's 81 years old, he has had Covid and we know how much this can affect lumbs and voice, and... at the end, he's singing for the pleasure of singing, celebrating a friend. He has already proved a lot during his career. Let's enjoy, if you like him or...you're allow to listen to his old records or to any other singer...

Hi. My apologies but my Spanish is nonexistent despite classes, but I believe I understand GOAT. And Mr. Domingo was, is and will be the greatest in my heart forever. Too many articles today print stories without fact-checking. Easier to censor or cancel someone. Or burn a book. Sorry. Hope all is well.

Hola: ¿Saben si este concierto estará a la venta en CD o DVD? Pienso que aquí en México tienen que hacer este concierto ya que Villazón es de este país, y es importante acercar más la Ópera a un mayor público, hay grandes recintos como el Palacio de Bellas Artes, El Auditorio Nacional o la Arena CDMX donde en agosto se presenta precisamente Plácido Domingo, solo por mencionar algunos de la Ciudad de México pero a lo largo de la república hay lugares donde se podría realizar un evento como este, creo que sería un gran espectáculo junto con Plácido Domingo, orquesta y ¡hasta Mariachis! ¿Por qué no?. ¡Saludos!

No hay forma que lo haga, solo lee los comentarios donde dicen que está igual que sus mejores días... Lo peor es que dicen casi lo cierto. NO fue muy bueno ni en sus mejores días. Tiene demasiados seguidores del nombre, pero no de la voz y eso si que es incontrolable.

Let's say Placido Domingo is the most wonderful flower of all- a 🌹 rose. Is it now better that we wipe out all daisys, violets, carnations, lilies, daffodils, pansies, irises, etc....Maybe that would make the rose feel better

He is not like before , he have limitations in same NOTES specifically low and high, is Ok. For his age . If know music you will notice the big difference

This performance might be passable for many, but not for Plácido Domingo. He should understand that, from now on, he can just possibly get a blot on his otherwise impressive record. Please, maestro Domingo, on behalf of so many of us who came to love singing, opera and zarzuela through your recordings and broadcast performances, and who had the privilege of seeing you on the stage, let me humbly beg you to retire and leave us with your hundreds of hours of great recorded renditions. Do not mar a career that is in so many ways unmatched. There is nothing left for you to prove.

What a terrible thing to say. It is a thrill that at age 81, Maestro Domingo is still singing and conducting. I have enjoyed seeing him in person around the world for 35 years. Yes, of course, his range has changed, but shame on you! It is a joy to see him still singing, and you do not speak for the legions of his fans. It is STILL a privilege to see him on stage.

@elbuscon: That the voice at 81 no longer sounds as flawless as it did at 40 should be clear to everyone, to himself, to all listeners, and ultimately to you too! So what??? Is he no longer allowed to sing for a friend with the voice of an 81-year-old? On the contrary! His performance gives courage that even at 81 you can still HAVE joy singing - and GIVE joy! Btw, he no longer appears as an opera singer! He certainly might know himself, that this time is over!
