Amongst the Fog | Cinematic BMPCC Footage
Фильм және анимация
I've been devoting my time to editing more and more these days. Especially seeing as I'm also uploading more stock footage and getting more freelance work. If you're a filmmaker you know the deal but the majority of your time is spent inside in front of your computer screen for hours on end with allocated breaks here and there, be it for calisthenic workouts or filming some footage. So here's the footage I shot with my dad a few days back when the fog rolled in. The fog has been insane these days. I've never seen anything like it in the 21 years I've lived by the river. I've definitely not seen it hang around for this long. Anyway I hope you enjoy the video!

Ah sorry. Was just scrolling through the comments and someone mentioned Washington. Beautiful none the less!
wow, the first video that actually gave me chills with the BMPCC, love the color correction/grading and the shots looked so on point! Wish i could afford this badboy, maybe one day i'll get it :) Oh and how is the "shakiness" with the Sigma lenses on handeld or do you use some kind of pistol grip/gimble whatever? Or maybe the stabilization is done in post :D

I use my BMPCC with a v-lock battery and tilta cage so it's adds a nice bit of weight which definitely helps. I also used warp stabiliser within premiere pro for a few shots to get a much more smooth end result. I'm currently saving for the Black magic micro camera so I can shoot some slow mo content. But the pocket is definitely an incredible camera even after almost 5 years since it's release. It excels in quality compared to a lot of other cameras. Yes it has pitfalls but you're not going to get a camera with all the bells and whistles :) My pocket cam is definitely going to stay with me for a lot longer. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Glad you enjoyed it!

Beautiful work as usual.... Again, colour grading just right...... Btw, i loved that large old boat. Does anybody live aboard.... That would make a great location below decks.

john wheatley Cheers John. Thanks for watching. That's my home ☺ It was built in the early 1900's. 1920 I believe. Originally it was built as a Dutch sailing barge. which is insane. Imagine two huge sails on it. It was then used as a coal barge in England bought by Brasso the metal polish company. I might even work on a little short doco piece.

Excellent...makes me homesick for the river and lake. I remember well the day the Barge arrived after its journey by road across the country to the back Avenue, we had some day getting it onto the water, bent steering rods on the truck getting it maneuvered to the slip, steel plates and welding to patch her up before the official launch on a beautiful evening. Wish you all many more happy days there.

Thanks Pearse! This is great to hear. We still have the vhs footage in the back of the press from the launch somewhere. I must dig it out and get it on the computer. Would be great footage to add to a mini documentary about the barge. I read your comment out to my dad and he found it entertaining. Hope work and everything is going well on your end. Thanks for commenting.
Fantastic job! What Metabones version did you use? 0.58X?
Love the palette. Did you use the vivitar 135mm?
Hi..! awesome video and I Really enjoyed watching this. ^_^ I think, what if I learn color grading with this video.. May I use this for my color grading study..? If you dont mind. :D thank you so much..
Great job, I love the results I've been getting with mine! The look is so filmic and i'm glad i could bring that to my channel as well. What lens did you use?

beautiful! did you use a gimbal or shoulder rig for stabilization? also are you using the metabones speedbooster?
@LakesideProductions

I didn't use any gimbal. Just had the BMPCC with two rods, the tilta cage and a rolux v-lock battery. Yes I'm using the Metabones speedbooster which I use with the Sigma 18-35 and Nikkor 50mm f2 lens. Thanks for watching!
