After having used the FROTHe/Hydrate combo three times since receiving it I can absolutely say that this an amazing product that works exceptionally well. Leaves the paint looking smooth and shiny every time. I have not seen any evidence of scratching or swirling after using it. This is truly a revolution in car care and Larry has really done an amazing job brining this product to the market. Thanks to both of you for great videos and great content.

I live in Minnesota where salt/road chemicals are heavily used and while I have access to a garage and hose 365 days a year, I don't have a garage drain. Ammo just got the aerator back in stock, so I ordered one - and Frothe. This must work as an excellent prewash at the self serve wash. I intend to spray my salt covered car with Frothe, rinse it off in the car wash - then use a bucket and mitt.

Thanks Andreas. That means a lot and I’m glad you highlight this. I am not sold to only one brand. I have the freedom to test out dozens and dozens of brands to find the best products and report my findings to my viewers so you guys can benefit. And when I do get a sponsored video (thank god for those as they help my channel grow, it’s expensive to produce KZread videos) well I clearly mention it at the beginning of the video and in the description so my viewers are fully aware, as I follow KZread regulations. And even in a sponsored video, I still always tell the company that I’ll be giving my honest opinion and they have no say as to what I talk about in my video. Thanks! And yes, I would always recommend a traditional wash with water first when possible. This is meant to be an alternative when access to water is impossible or restricted, like the examples I stated in the video.

Cool! I guess you saw Larry’s guest appearance in my Ammo Reflex video? :)

Now I am crying cause this little thing pumps better foam than the $80 pressure washer foam cannon. And it is electric power washer and my cannon is rated at 3500psi. So I wished I seen this video before purchasing what I did. Cause traditional washes can still be done together with this frothe air pump. Anyway, in a positive note thanks for sharing this link dude. 🙏🏻

I like the design of their sprayer

Used Frothe for the first time last weekend. Had problems and it may likely be me, but after wiping the panel down there seemed to be a light film left over. I don’t have Hydrate but used Bead Maker and the film was still there. Ended up doing a rinse-less wash with N914 to complete the car. Any tips? Did I use too much Frothe in my mix maybe? 1 oz to 20 oz warm water. I really wanna like this product.

I will give my opinion. This product works great, if you have access to a garden hose you could end using less MF towels. I rinsed dowm, frothe then spray wax and only used 4 towels for the paint alone. For wheels, with 2 towels is enough. 20 min work in total

How much does it cost, how do I purchase the products? My most frequently asked questions. I checked out the Links and pushed in the thumbs up button.

Another thing to mention is the amount of damage water can do to to ferrous metals over time, especially in coastal areas. This is great alternative as you don't get water into every crevice of the car, and then as most people do, simply park the wet car and let the water and oxygen do it's rusty magic.

Does this unit work with other soap in plan to water wash (regular garage hose, not pressure) afterwards?

a pre-wash rinse at a self service car wash station could be pretty helpful before using this. hrm, but that might require a leaf blower for drying off.

Very curious how the Ammo aerator is compared to the IK foam sprayer used along with FROTHe. I like the idea of having the bigger reservoir. Thanks for another cool vid! You're one cool dude Pan.

I have the IK Multi, IK Foam 1.5 and IK Foam 9 and they all work well with Frothe too.

It's different. Hydrate is really a drying aid, where Ech2O/Reload mix is a quick detailer that can also be used as a drying aid. The gloss is certainly higher with Ech2O/Reload.

I love washing my car with waterless. I'll try this. Did it yesterday. My neighbours noticed id done me car it took me ages. They then disappeared out in their car and returned. They'd gone and went to get theirs washed for £5 by 5 ppl taking 10mins. Obv you get your car cleaner doing it yourself. I use clean microfibre every time. Makes me laugh that they saw me out there for hours hovering washing detailing to the max and they couldn't stand it!!! Ha ha great vid. I respect everyone who washes their own car. Obv wash it with water if it's really dirty to 👏. Look forward to trying this.

Washing your car yourself is not only more satisfying, but you have total control of the quality of the products you use, and by taking your time, you will also ensure better results, less scratching and swirls compared to tunnel washes or places where they do a rushed botched job for 5$. :)

Hey Pan! Another awesome video! Pan my questions is about the wheels. How would go about cleaning in to the rim barrel like you would with water ? like a wheel degreaser than water than wash. How effective is frothe for the same finish? Thanx Bro!

It’s a bit more complicated for the inner barrels... you’ll be better off with a traditional wash for that part.

HUGE THANKS PAN! and Larry, as always. Love your guy's channels.Getting low on AMMO and need order up including the FROTHe set up. Question comes to mind, although it might seem counter productive ? If I judge the car(s) is just that little bit dirty er,' first rinse with a hose (or pressure washer) and then go ahead with the FROTHe regimen. Possible thinking might be that the standing water on the car might overly dilute the effectiveness of the FROTHe ?

Thanks! Yes Larry mentioned in his video that if you want to pre-rinse with a pressure washer, go ahead, then use Frothe. But at that point, if you’re using water, do a traditional wash imo.

Best video yet! I've had some questions ever since Larry came out with Frothe. 1. There is nothing mentioned in his or your videos about letting it dwell. I assume that is not needed? Optimum No Rinse suggests theirs breaks down particles etc with dwell time. Not sure if I buy into that or not. 2. Does it start evaporating if you spray the whole car and let it dwell before starting to wipe off? Or is it best to do one panel at a time? 3. In the videos it doesn't appear to be sprayed on so thick and heavy that it covers every single bit of paint. It looks like there is minute spots of dry paint between the droplets of foam. I'm guessing that is not necessary? Just checking because I would likely use too much product trying to get the entire surface dripping. Maybe this question ties into question 1 about dwell time. Dwell time should let it slide down and cover between the droplets if it doesn't evaporate too fast. 4.Do any other brands of car detailing products contain humectants? From what Larry said on his video it is something he thought of which I think is genius. Thanks for the hard work you put into the videos and responding to comments.

No dwell time needed. And it doesn’t need to cover every square inch of a panel when sprayed, as when you start wiping, you’ll get all the coverage needed and insane lift action from Frothe. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! The Worx Hydroshot is a good alternative for those who can’t hookup a normal power washer, but it’s really not that powerful. Scott from Dallas Paint Correction and Auto Detailing has many videos on it. I see it as an alternative when you want to power wash your car in a place with no access to free flowing water.

Another great video!! One question: I just ceramic coated (via Gyeon Synchro) my gf's car and want to use Frothe during the winter months as I wont have access to a hose. Instead of using Hydrate, would I want to use something like Gyeon Cure for the final step? As someone who has a coated car, what would you recommend be the best process?

You can use the full Frothe system, including Hydrate, on a coated car. I used it on my on coated BMW as you saw in the video. Larry confirmed that it’s safe for use on coated cars.

I love watching your videos, always organized and concise key points covered. My question is to the hand foamer device, Griots has similar and other brands offer a 'foam' sprayer. Will these other brands of hand units work as well as the Ammo dedicated former using FROTHe?

Thanks for the kind words. It should technically work with any pump sprayer, I tried it with an IK sprayer (amzn.to/2KfFBn0) and it works super well. Of course, I haven't tried all the sprayers in the world. Larry developed his aerator to work well with FROTHe.

Yes, it works fine with any sprayer. I have both the IK and the AMMO aerator, both work well with the FROTHe, the AMMO aerator holds more product, and is a bit nicer bottle in terms of overall build, is it $25 better, ehhhh, maybe, more like $10 better hahaha. It is a nice sprayer, but if cost is an issue stay with what ya got or go with an IK foamer.

I first saw Frothe on Larry's channel, and just got mines a couple of weeks ago, great product. Been using Carpro Ech20 for QD and rinseless wash on my Cquartz UK truck and car. Hi pan. I love your videos so much. I'm looking for some advice. I've never clayed, decontaminated or protected my mum's car before. I'm getting a auto glym clay kit and Iron x and a ceramic coating. Which order do I use them and do I have to stick to a specific shampoo to wash the car?

AUTO VLOGGING Hi. In case Pan does not have a chance to answer I can help you out. I've been detailing my own and family cars for about 30 years. So this is every day advice. 1st off. The clay only recommends their soap to make money. Use any high quality car wash shampoo. I am currently using Adam's. I plan on Trying Ammo and Griot's next. Second. Once the car is clean and dry you can start with the process. Start with one panel at a time. Make sure they are cool and you are out of the sun. In a garage or under a car port/tent is best. Grab a chunk off the clay bar about the size of a meatball. Flatten it. Spay on a decent amount of detail spray and start to "wipe" the paint with the clay. Go in cross hatch pattern. Never circles. Make sure the clay does not start to stick. Keep it moist using the spray. You don't want any friction. As you do this you can feel it getting smoother. Wipe off with clean microfiber towel. 70/30 blend is best. But 80/20 will do. Make sure they are soft. That's it. Do the whole car one panel at a time. TIP #1: You usually only have to do the horizontal surfaces. The trunk, roof, and hood. Or boot, bonnet, and whatever British call the roof. Hahahahaha. Tops of bumpers and fenders also. TIP 2. Use a sandwich bag before and after as a glove. After car is washed use plastic bag glove to gently run hand over paint. You can feel the contaminates. After the clay bar it should glide smooth. Hope that helps. Good luck!

AUTO VLOGGING forgot to mention. So once you have used the clay bar and the car is smooth you still need to address the swirl marks and scratches. So you might need to do a cut. Anywhere feom mild to more. Then polish. Then seal using was or sealant. Think like this. Clay bar cleans the clear and gets it as clean as it can be. Now you need to cut down a layer of clear to take out blemishes. Once the blemishes are gone you need to polish. To bring back the shine. Once the shine is back you seal it feom the elements using a wax or sealant. Make sure you do all 3 steps. You can cut and buff using hand or a polisher. Check out videos by Pan, Ammo, and Griot's. They are very informational.

Anything between 1000 and 2000 psi is recommended for washing cars. Not more than 2000 psi. Karcher is a great brand. Before my Kranzle unit, I had a Karcher K5 which I reviewed here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJOqxNeOn8rQlJc.html

Can you mix boost with frothe?

Hi, is it ok, to use other car shampoo?

Pan have you tried using the big red sponge with this in a bucket of clean water? Wipe then rinse sponge in bucket instead of using towels?

Hi Pan, I have a question about the product , I can use in summer like went the temperature is around 90° or high ? Or the product evaporate went is hot? Thanks

I haven’t had the chance to test it in extreme heat yet, as it’s a brand new product and here in Canada, we’re still in 50 degrees F weather... But I don’t see why it wouldn’t work well in heat as there are lots of lubricants and humectants and no dwell time is needed. It’s a spray-on, wipe-off formula.

For $125 (not including hydrate $25) which is more cost effective. Say compared to ONR/WOLFGANG UBER?

AMMO FROTHe is by far the best rinseless wash out there right now. It's ridiculously slick. But what I really love besides the awesome lubrication and dirt emulsification is the overall cleaning ability. It doesn't just remove the dirt it really cleans the panels and gives a very nice shine, as good as any soap on the market. It can also be used off label, makes a great drying agent preventing hard water spots. I like to use my wash mitts for the initial wipe and then follow up with a plush microfiber. Another thing I was very surprised with is how well it cleaned wheels and tires, exceptional considering it's not a dedicated wheel cleaner. Overall I'm extremely pleased with AMMO FROTHe and the AMMO sprayer. The sprayer is slightly more expensive than it should be, but hopefully the price will come down over time. Other than that I can't find anything else wrong with the system, it works awesome.

Froths is nice... no doubt but aerator is epoca foam sprayer... which sells like 20-25$ when I checked....

Is AMMO Hydrate ok for coatings? I have Ceramic Pro and I’ve been told that putting anything on top of the coating would negate some of its properties.

Pan, Do you think that using reload instead of hydrate for the final wipe would be fine? Reload is my favorite sealant/drying aid but I'd like to give FROTHe a try for sure.

You could, but it depends what type of paint protection you currently have on. If it's a wax or sealant, than don't mix SiO2 based products with those. If it's a ceramic coating, go ahead.

I should have added, My car is cquartz so thats why I lean towards reload. I feel like hydrate would be almost pointless on my paint. I just wasn't sure if the chemistry of FROTHe was waiting for something in hydrate as the final step or if reload would be fine.

Can I use an IK foamer instead?

Do you think ammo hydrate or bead maker is better as a drying aid? If price didn’t play a role.

Unfortunately they don't make the small cups anymore. And the big one came with my McCulloch MC1385 steam cleaner.

You would have to e-mail Larry from AMMO Nyc to see if he'd recommend this on coatings.

Pan excellent video, thanks. Please excuse my ignorance. I was under the impression that you were not suppose to put waxes on a ceramic coated car. Do these products contain wax?

Thanks for watching Joe. I don't know the specifics how Larry formulated his products, so you should ask him directly. Usually, yes, you are right, applying waxes on top of ceramic coatings isn't recommended as the waxes will mask the properties of the coating underneath, and the waxes won't last long anyways as the coating will eventually reject them. But some waxes, can be formulated to bond to coatings, like the new Gyeon Wax that I reviewed on my channel recently. So it's a "case by case" thing. If you want to make sure you are not applying any wax or extra protection on top of your coating, and can't wash your car the traditional way with water, you can use the rinseless wash method. Got my new CX-5 10 days ago. Living in northern NJ and all the snow we’ve had, car is already crusty with dirt and salt. I’m assuming this system would not be what I should use for this? Or am I wrong? Please advise.

Correct. Waterless and rinseless washes are only recommended for light to medium dirt levels. Not for cars caked in road salt, sludge, dirt, mud, etc. A traditional wash with water is always the best method. Congrats on your new CX-5! Any tips for me? I Recently bought an aerator and using with meguiers car soap for a foaming type spray but it does not foam, not sure if I’m doing soap to water ratio wrong? It seems to throw out water with not much soap lubrication nor foam, what can I do?

Hard to say as there are too many variables I’m not aware of. Not all soaps can be used in aerators and not all aerators are made the same. I only use pump sprayers when using waterless or rinseless washes, which is super rare.

Yes. If you have access to water I’d always recommend a traditional two-bucket wash. Waterless/rinseless washes are alternatives when access to water is restricted or impossible.

is it safe to use frothe on tree sap or bird droppings thats been sitting on paint for over a week? thanks! great video

A bit too much foamy for claying. It will lubricate, sure, but you can barely see what you’re claying lol. Keep in mind it’s a shaving cream-like texture.

Hey PAN- I am thinking of ordering this from Larry. How do you feel this VS ONR? I am going to be taking road trip and need to clean my car before my big car meet. I have few things of ONR also few IK sprayers - my car is coated with CSL/EXoV4.

I prefer rinseless washes (like ONR) over waterless washes (like Frothe). But if you're at a car meet and obviously don't have a bucket of water with you for a rinseless wash, you're kind of out of options and at that point, only a waterless/hoseless wash will do. Just make sure your car isn't too dirty when using a waterless wash. Lightly soiled or dusty is about as much as is recommended. But as your car is ceramic coated, if it was my car, I would clean it before going to a meet, and leave it as is. Not use waterless washes. My personal opinion.

Yeah absolutely- the car getting full detail right before I leave. Topped of with CarPro elixir- My front end is PPF- so holding most of the bugs will be in that! I appreciated as always!

Does anyone know if you are able to proceed with decontamination, paint correction, and protection after using Frothe or is this just for a maintenance wash?

You can proceed with usual detailing steps. Of course, if water is accessible and readily available, I still always recommend using a traditional two bucket wash with water (so does Larry Kosilla of AMMO). FROTHe is for those times where access to water is restricted or impossible. It's an alternative to water, not a replacement.
