Hence you specialize, it might look like a troll or grief but a win is a win and players that look at trends will take notice. They can't deny that it works accross brackets. And then you see heroes like supports being played as core or in a different role. It doesn't always have to do with icefrog. It's abusing game mechanics and layers.

To be fair, Ceb and Ammar carried the shit out of OG in the major. Conflicts aside

There's a fine line between a signature hero and the right meta hero. If all it takes for you to win a game is to play a hero at 70% capacity, and you can do it, then you go for meta picks. If not, always go with signature picks that you know u can play at 95-100%. Ammar and misha is half right here.

If you need to win TI, either you have your signature heros as meta. OR adapt to play the IMBA heros better. Ammar needs to understand this. Otherwise his wins are just luck.

for those that didn't watch the Ceb interview, actually this is a sign where someone so passionate and care and really love the game. It's just the expression that needs to be "modified" and I like that perspective. Sometimes we just don't know what to say and just say something that might look offensive

It’s all about polishing the social skills. Ammar clearly is severely lacking in that department at several parts of the documentary, but he’s often right when arguing the point. As you say, if he just modifies his choice of words, his future becomes so much brighter

Ammar read the mood correctly here, if they tried to play the meta with the meta heroes they would get destroyed by other teams who are doing the same thing but are ahead. They needed to be unpredictable in their lanes but not too crazy. They are playing with a standin who needs to play comfortably, so they gave him his comfort heroes. Ammar needs to play his comfort heroes because he has to play freely and perfectly to accommodate Cebs heroes. In the end, Ceb played amazingly because Taiga and Ammar adapted to the heroes he could only play. Incredible teamwork and prep by OG

OG: picked WR 10 times (won 9) BB: picked WR once (won) Thunder: Picked WR once (loss) WR is not cebs sig hero far from it since he was mainly a pos3 player, ceb had just been playing a crazy amount of WR games before the stockholm major because he realised the shard was stupid (and why it got nerfed straight after the major). So no, Ammar was not right he just has an attitude problem and that's one of the reasons he was removed from OG (and why he's back to playing pos3 for NGX).

@@SlowDownImWhite No, Lina in our last patch was IMBA, picked every game by everyone or banned. That is IMBA. One guy picking it 10x and one teams picking 1 or 2x isn't IMBA. If it were then it would be first pick/ban like some other supports on our last patch like treant.

They're both have points to be honest, some games you win because you're just ridiculously good at playing that certain hero and sometimes because its the meta. I believe those successful teams are able to balance both argument.

Ammar is right. Back in the days, players that excels the most we call them imbas. If a hero was played at 100 it can win 1v5. He's just reminding us of the potential of what a hero could do in a game. I'm missing those times.

this is just normal classic argument in dota,

before dota2 and there was just "dota" when we play 5man in a caffe for betting games i always ask my team mates what hero can they use i ask them for at least 3 hero and then pick the hero that can sync in to other heroes , i dont let them use heroes that are strong but they cant use it smoothly this sounds dumb for someone playing as a captain for his team but we manage to win alot of games because of it and i am proud of my team mates even if they were 1.3k-2.3k mmr when dota2 becomes the thing and they enemies became 3-4k mmr they can still say we beat you in a 5v5 beforr 😊

There was no teamwork or true care for one another like the original OG.

Its remarkable how powerful the difference is at 5th teammate Nisha than 5th teammate Ceb. If Nisha was there instead of Ceb, Ammar and him would have kept arguing and vertainly lose third game. The presence of mind and leadership Ceb brings in literally a champion maker talent. Greatest respect from me. Note I am not saying Nisha isnt and amazingly talented player, he destroyed so many teams and will just get better yet.

I can't remember the exact numbers but it's right around 47% winrate on pubs for both heroes. remember, no one was using timber or mars during that major with a few exeptions for mars who sometimes show up on other teams.

meta heroes are there to change the pace of the game , a little success of those heroes can change the whole game. Imagine pro players using meta heroes that should be considered broken , Signature heroes are usually a risky pick since theyre pros , enemies will most likely have counter heroes or plays against those signature heroes , Big example was Topson's gyro diffu. Meta heroes are better cuz it wont pressure your teammates much of you getting countered or whatsoever. Ammar been trying to do shot calls on times that Ceb was talking or relaying shot calls as well 😶 It made the game looked like 4v5 since ammar was playing different plays from the other 4 teammates :( He's good that he was able to adjust on the spot but theres always a delay since he's planning by himself and following it also by himself

So that why Ammar rarely plays another Heroes huh

Disagree, ceb really took that by the throat. It's hard when your teammate is acting like a lunatic. Ceb even mentioned you have to know and be careful on what to say to ppl like ammar who blow up. Maybe it's just the way Ammar is, but he seemed salty, even after they won each game and then the major. It was awkward to watch, as he stayed in his own silo, no excitement or whatnot after victories. Ceb def rallied them to victory in each game. The rest of the team did well following his guidance.

Ammar got talent,but his arrogance might stop him from achieving his goals. Have to respect his teammates or else he'll have no team to play with.

This ammar and misha do nothing for OG. They won that major thanks to Cen and Yugari not stroke

I used to be a TA/ursa/SF(4.5k smurf.) Specialising in a hero is fine but sometimes you have to adapt to the meta. I hated playing invoker but I learned it just to know how to beat it. In the end ceb is right. But ceb is always right.
