Nope we didn't ask for the immigrants to be brought in from every country in the world, we were forced into doing it by Apartheid in South Africa because our politician stuck there nose in another country's business, that's when we were called prejudice by the world, of course now its changed to racist. @@enigmalfidelity I was thinking more about the history of the Assyrians and the Nebataeans etc just as examples of how lands change hands but they all have to be viewed in time, in context. Not remotely like this era, so it is a bit blinkered to use one element of one religion to make a cause.

@@sia9907 Yes exactly, that's why I'd reply with "how about a discussion?", posing another question to facilitate ironically, further discussion which would help break the barriers between interviewer and interviewee in the same way it would help Israel-Palestine. But the truth be told, Israel doesn't want to make any concessions in the same way Palestine doesn't. I just don't appreciate the disingenuous way the interviewer pretends like "he tried". He didn't.

@@Living_the_Highlight I see what you mean about him not trying. I do see him trying to defuse an intense situation, though. Hamas types see questions as challenges. So from my point of view he was attempting to calm things down with an empathetic statement while not allowing the terrorist to take over the interview.
