Sorry, but I found only the first phrase (about the societal transformation) to sound sort of ambiguous, all the others were pretty obvious. I mean, for one thing, it's pretty clear that the CM wasn't too concerned with race as that wasn't much of a thing in mid-19th century Germany.

Bill Clinton was a free market guy that leaned conservative on lots of social issues and economic but still believed in big unions and a big welfare state. The Democrat party has changed a lot.

In this video that's frankly pointless. The point of the video is to demonstrate how similar the two are. Anyone, including the viewer, should be able to compare the two by just looking at the two different ideologies principles. you don't need to listen to other people to see the similarities.

Goblin- For this video specifically, yes a little pointless. At the same time, If we saw the raw footage and he interviewed 50 people and 45 of them had no trouble telling the two apart, Well that doesn't make as strong of a case as 5 people being completely confused. But again, these are fun little, feel good videos so I don't get too hung up on the details

+Delta Whiskey I'll reiterate, that's pointless because how many people were able to distinguish the two ideologies doesn't change the fact that they're similar. I was able to tell fairly well which one was Dem. and Communist. That in no way means they're not similar or same in some aspects. The point of the video was so people would see how a lot of Dem. values are pretty much straight from the communist manifesto now. The point of the video is going right over your head.

You can have that in a free market society. Youre just going to need to pay extra. How do you think it works today? Everyones premiums will sky rocket. So youre paying for it anyway. The government can not do anything without hurting someone else.

"Disparities in wealth cannot be solved by the free market" is an accurate statement. We all know that the free market increases the wealth of those at the top at a greater rate than it does those at the bottom. To "solve" these disparities one would necessarily have to do away with the free market.

For example: While I'm no fan of Henry Ford politically or socially, economically...he had some great ideas; the 8-hour work day, the 40-hour work week, minimum wage, etc. Pushing the free market system, where it has no checks & balances to keep it from doing whatever the fuck it wants, is a scam that would abolish the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, for all but the top 1 or 2% of the American population, and tell every slave to earn their worth by getting out there and proving that they deserve freedom by working for it. You want freedom; you'll have when you earn it. For everyone else, don't worry about it; you'll never have it! So, why bother to waste your energy & your slavemasters money by worrying about something that you'll never have, thereby increasing the punishment given to you by your slavemaster & increasing your own misery?! Don't do that to yourself & you'll be just fine!

It is true but at same time it doesn't mean that such disparity should be solved and that you will be better off in a place where is 0 disparity. In a primitive tribe (or USSR) you don't have a huge disparity because nobody has anything and life there wasn't a paradise. At same time currently billionaire can have 50000+ time more money than you but you will still have car, laptop/PC, TV, healthcare, vacations and lots of fancy stuff.

By picking and choosing certain phrases and sentences, I think you could also do this with the Republican Platform, possibly the Bible, and most other texts. There's no good point being made here, but entertaining nonetheless.

The examples in this video sound extreme. Likely bible verses about killing witches and disobedient children would not be mistaken for the republican platform, but seemingly anti-capitalist rhetoric in the democratic platform sounds like it belongs in the communist manifesto. I think it's a good point being made, though this method could be abused. I just don't think it was here.

Do it then. Personally, I agree with what @peachtable966 said. This video did not take anything out of context, focused on key issues related to America's regard for itself as the biggest anti-communist nation and compared two things meant to be in complete opposition instead of things that are only dissimilar in people's perception. The problem with other forms of this tactic is it is used to mock, instead of revealing morality or intentions.
