We have not seen a drag race by Carwow or Throttle House between the new C43 (206) and the old one (205). Would you mind sharing the videos with us? As for the one from @samcarlegion, we have given our feedback about the variances to a previous comment. We might be a Mercedes-Benz dealer, but we would not manufacture false results with our own products. We would welcome the opportunity to prove this to you further. Thank you! We know there will always be skeptics when it comes to a 4 cylinder... we were too! That F1 turbo really shocked us all!

I have a 2024 C43 and I absolutely love it.

The 2023 C43 AMG is the Best! This video gets me excited!

I dont think many have had a problem with the new C43 AMGs. Its the C63 AMGs that most are against

@@pcpedroariel Not sure we can agree after what we experienced. Did you notice the late start the 206 C43 had for a couple of the drags? It still pulled past the other two. Regardless, you will see a roll race in future productions to set the record straight. Stay tuned and turn on notifications!

@@MercedesBenzDowntownCalgary When you want to launch a car yeah , obliviously if it has ‘launch control’, you put it in launch control and after that, hold down the brakes with your left foot and and press down on the accelerator with your right foot, before letting off the brakes ….. if the car doesn’t have launch control , you can do that also still and it’ll give the same results , depending on if the car is 2WD or 4WD

@@favour8476 That is consistent with how we normally launch the vehicles. The 2023 AMG C43 Sedan does have race start however, we noticed a slight delay after releasing the brake. Even though it had a delayed start it still rocketed away! We all tried different launches for each car but, the results were all quite consistent in the end. We will provide more detail when launching vehicles in the moment when filming the future. Truly appreciate your feedback.

My feeling exactly. This was probably the slowest drag race I've seen online with these cars involved. I'm no pro driver but I can launch my C43 way harder than that and it's all stock

Need a roll race.. the 204 will destroy the other two.. and it makes 451hp.. not 441.. maybe where ever this is they may have more emissions parts and brought the power down.. but here in the states its rated at 451hp

You are correct! It does make 451hp... here's something that might not be what you want to hear... but it turns out that C63 had a performance package too... 481hp was the actual output... the red calipers are part of the performance package. The curb weights posted are available on several Mercedes-Benz sites. A simple Google search will deliver similar weights. There is a variance of about 100 lbs on some sites. These differences can be attributed to dry/ fully loaded measurements and optional equipment or specs by model.

What happen with the start launch for the C43 in the salom challenge? It took almost 2 seconds just to start accelerating?

He tried to brake boost it but held for too long, causing the car to bog off the line. It had a minimal impact on the slalom time as your average speed is the biggest factor. Regardless, it wouldn't have changed the placement had he not bogged the start as the gap was quite large from the other 2.

@MercedesBenzDowntownCalgar A bad start like that is worth at least 2 seconds, which would have been enough to beat the C63 given there was only a second between them. 1:22 for the C63 and 1:23 for the C43. So 2 seconds would have changed the outcome.

All those cars are slow even with the amg power. But you guys have the same concept as car wow.

W205 c43 needs all traction off, s+ and brake boost to around 2k rpm and then slam it to launch. If mb put a v6 or v8 back into c63 with awd, then I will consider upgrade the w205 c43. With a tune, w205 can easily hit 3.6 0-100 and it sounds way better with performance exhaust. The w206 interior and new mbux does look nice though, I will give it that

Race Start in the 206 makes a difference. All cars in this test were stock. A tuned 205 would have likely performed better.

gotta work on the banter guys, dialogue sounds lame as hell. I'm not sure any of those contis will help you hook up...on the track or in real life as well.

Theres no way the new one is that quicker than the previous Gen 43, or maybe you guys dont know how to launch.

The 206 with race start makes launching pretty simple. Sport+, one foot on gas, one on the brake, race start active displays on instrument cluster, release brake, and lift off!

The guy who drove the W205 C43 did not lunch it as well. To get the best launch from the old C43 takes a bit of practice. So, this race was not definitive. The new c43 has a computer launching it which is why it is faster. If you removed all the computer stuff, I highly doubt the results would be like what you saw in the video.

The new 206 C43 is a lot easier to launch than the last gen 205 with the addition of race start. The previous gen does not have the E-Turbo technology or race start, which overcomes turbo lag. However, in the third race, the 205 jumped the start and still lost to the 206.
