I asked them right now they telling me I have to wait till my rewards dollars available. My last statement says I have $29 rewards redeemable which is make me crazy. Here’s the thing I already picked up my promo bonus and spending less in this card, that might be issue for them.

@@MarkReese Its my top gas card along with the Truist 3-2-1 card at 3 on gas%. And besides the Gold card, I use the BCE for groceries. If I cancel the Gold card, I want to also get the SavorOne again and would have 2 cards that are 3% for groceries and for dining. For dining, I would have the Bilt, Freedom Unlimited and when I'm out of 5/24 jail, I want get the Flex to complement the Discover Cash Back and another 3x dining card along with Bilt and Freedom Unlimited. Not every place accepts Amex. Its good to have other choices and options.

The new design of the Amex Blue Cash Everyday looks beautiful. When you flash the flashlight on the translucent it looks awesome! Congrats on your new card, Mark!

I like this design. I currently have the Blue Cash Preferred & have had it for 10 1/2 years & have had both designs which is close to the Blue Cash Everyday & I also have had a similar to newer design of the Blue Cash Everyday & Blue Cash Preferred with the Cash Magnet card. When you receive a new card new 1 really means how many cards they sent you at that moment. If you had an authorized user it would say most likely say new 2 because number of cards they sent you at that moment.

I really like the look of this card. I recently got the Blue Cash Preferred through a targeted email from AMEX and really like the look of the BCP, but have to say the BCE has my vote for the better looking card. That being said, I do like the rewards multipliers on the BCP better, especially having the annual fee waived for the first year. As always, great content, Mark. Always educated and entertained by your work.

I just became a member of this card and it is truly my everyday card as I don't travel much. Cash back builds quickly & 3% with $200 credit, its a no brainier. I will say trying to discuss your cash back itemization is a no go. Guy couldn't go over anything accept my total cash back. A little disappointing but besides that, love the card. @@MarkReese How my cash back was tallied. I noticed gas purchases were at 1% instead of 3% even though one time using the same gas station I got back 3%. He told me he can't see the breakdown, only what I accumulated. I wasn't sure if he was new but was no help. Everything else has been great and seeing the cash back accumulate so quickly makes this card number 1 with purchases.

I got this just before the revamp in order to have a 3% grocery card when my 5% cards were not advantageous. Now it is also my default online shopping card unless one of my other cards can do better. Combine those two factors with my long-time respect for American Express's customer service, and this card looks to be a long-term keeper.

I was actually debating between Custom Cash and this card when I got it. I had a Citibank card decades ago and was unimpressed with them at the time. Amex customer service has come through for me with flying colors on both corporate and personal cards, so that history was the deciding factor. Custom Cash is still on my short list to consider for my next card sometime next spring or early summer.

Wow that’s actually a really nice looking card, I had no idea how much detail their was.

Hi Michael - likely not. Reason = it would likely mislead a ton of people. The same bank may use different bureaus based on where you live. So if it's Experian for me, it could be TransUnion for someone else.

The offer rn for me is 100$ cash back after 2k in the first six months. There is also a 150$ PayPal credit but I don’t use PayPal. Where as the resy offer is 200 after 2k and 10% at restaurants which I spend a lot of time and money at. So thank you for telling me about resy.

You covered up the 3 digit code on the back. But on Amex cards, that's not the security code. Amex cards put the 4-digit security code on the front. Which you did not cover.

Correct. However, those 4 digits have no meaning without the other 15 😁 I covered the rear 3 digits because those are used by Amex for verification when calling in for support.

I felt this way about my car as well but man the US Bank rewards credit cards seem at 6% that's crazy The two cards will be a combo for real

Hi Kane - having a card relationship can begin as soon as you have at least 1 Amex card. I'm not aware of a month/year requirement.

This card would be more amazing than it already is if it earned MR points rather than cash back

Amex BCE is great for shopping at Walmart in store when using Walmart Pay. 3% back at Walmart every time.

There isn't a way for me to know. You were denied by Amex's computer system, so, I'd call their reconsideration line and ask a live agent to see if they can overturn the decision.

I always thought the clear version of the card was nice. I traded that in for the version with a fee, but I may switch back. With the new benefits I'm not sure the fee version is worth it.

If the Blue Cash Preferred ($95) isn't working for ya, it makes sense to switch back to the Blue Cash Everyday ($0) when that fee hits again. When it does, you've still got ~ 30 days to downgrade & get the full fee reimbursed 😃👍

Updating my position, I closed my Helton Business 2 weeks ago and opened Helton Surpass4 days ago who I received the similar denial letter that I had the maximum even I waited more than 10 days but the system wasn’t process it yet, I called the member in the denial latter who got me approved for 5k, so now I have 7 lending card which 4 personal and total limit across all 45k and 3 business with 55k credit limit across all.

Depends on people's goals / spending categories. I personally don't consider it a catch-all card since most of my catch-all purchases would only qualify for 1%. It depends on what 'catch-all' means for your budget.

However, when I see the word 'trifecta,' I tend to think of setups that earn the same type of rewards currency (e.g. same type of points / same type of miles / or cash back). But broadening the definition, it really doesn't matter. All that matters is that you get the cards that provide you with what you want 👍

I’ve had this card for about 6 years and do not use it anymore, it’s my old workhorse. The us online purchase is interesting but having the 5% amazon card is critical. I do not buy stuff at other online retailers enough to remember to use it. Grocery - we’re just doing Citi premier

It will likely be a soft pull. However, that's never a guarantee since Amex can pull your report whenever they need to.

Only thing keeping me on the fence on applying for this card is that I’m nearing the completion of my SUB on my amex gold card. Not sure if that would impact my approval odds for this card. I’ve been a amex member for a year now.

I’m gonna be product changing my BCP soon to BCE because I don’t use the 6% at grocery as much as I thought but do more online shopping so 3% seems attractive. I was just not sure when to do the pc because I opened the card this year. Should I do it the same month when I was approved for BCP or wait after I see the annual fee later in the month (don’t wanna lose the bonus I got on it).

I'd personally wait until you've had the card open for a full year. I like to wait until the annual fee hits again, then contact Amex & downgrade. You can get the full fee refunded if you do the downgrade within about 30 days of the fee posting.

Can u help with this: I'm going to apply 4 this card this weekend, but also i want to request a credit limit increase on my HH Surpass. What should i do? Should i apply for this card 1st then request for the limit increase 4 my Surpass? Or request the limit increase then apply 4 this card

I'd apply for the card first, _then_ request a CLI on the HH Surpass.

@@MarkReese I applied for it and got approved for 10k. Then requested a limit increase for 5k on my Surpass. They approved me for 3k which is good. Thank 4 ur advice

curious why you are on team cash back? Is it because you don't plan to travel any time soon? love your videos. Not ready for this one. I need to accumulate more points for a few goal trips.

I value increasing income & investing more than I do travel. Can't pay bills with Hilton points...can't build net worth with United miles 😁 When I do travel, it's mostly domestic, so cash back + flat-rate point values work well for that.
