The singer in Ebba Grön, Thåström released a song in 2005 called Fanfanfan that is simple but beautiful and I think you'll like. Thåström - Fanfanfan kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z4lpj7GIipTJhtY.html It's from his solo album Skebokvarnsv. 209, "Fanfanfan", the record's fourth track, became Thåström's first number one single. The album topped the chart in Sweden, and won a Grammis in the category "Year's rock album (solo)". In June 2013, Sonic Magazine rated it as the 50th best Swedish album ever. And:Oh nooo not Hey Monica. I mean yes you prob should but you will forever have it stuck in your head. I don't remember it being good but it was definently played over and over and over and over again on the radio and everywhere impossible to escape and super repedative if I remember correctly. PTSD. ;)

800 grader was one of Ebba Gröns most famous songs. Ebba Grön is one of Swedens most famous bands of all times. It is a very swedish band, from how Sweden was then. These guys came from a working class area in Stockholms suburbs. Those areas were much calmer during the 70s and 80s compared to today but they had the ugliest architecture often, that kind that lacks all soul . Anyhow, the next band Thåström, the singer was a part of was Imperiet (The empire) , also very famous. Thåström became every black dressed swedish girls dream during the 80s and 90s.

It will be 800 *C, 800 *C you can trust in me, you can trust in me - 800 degrees, you can trust in me, you can trust in me" (Chorus) "Humans with empty staring eyes, you gave, but you got nothing." Chorus again. "Armageddon gives us the chills, not so strange when we only see fools." Chorus again. "Sometimes I feel nothing at all, even as they're cutting me off at the throat, just so damn empty, as I wait for my own doom." Chorus again, repeated over and over until it pewters out.
The singer Joakim Thåström is one of those people that shine of star power, he is up there on the level of people like Dylan, Elvis and MJ. Check out some live performance of 'Du ska va president' or 'Fanfanfan'.
Thank you for taking me back in time fore a while. Grew up with this 😁
Flyktsoda is another masterpiece by Ebba grön
Asså vilka låtar de skrev och bjöd på. Helt sjukt idag. Thåström ❤️
I see that a lot of people already said this but, your swedish pronunciation is really good!
I came up with another great swedish classic "Ett glas öl" with Hasse Alfredsson. Its about the generations of children growing up with elemental destructions and so on. Its written in the sixthies. Great song! "När man ser på hur barna växer upp och står i, kan man undra om barna nånsin får det som vi?" Great lyric!
I totally agree with you man. I've listened to this song a couple of times and I always get the same feeling. Really like your positive comments. Keep em commin man. Thumbs up👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I like it that he liked it. After all, I was a kid back then, and songs like "800 grader" and "We're Only in It for the Drugs, No. 1" were on the soundtrack of our lives.
PTSD. ;)

I grew up listening to Ebba Grön, Imperiet, Thåström. My dad saw Thåström and friends live alot since he grew up in Solberga and it wasn't far to get to Rågsved/Högdalen where they came from. I live on Skebokvarnsvägen in Högdalen now and my dad has passed away.. I still listen to Thåström (and his various projects). Someone already said that you should check out Stefan Sundström aswell.. From Farsta and a great musician aswell.
Love this concept man! Much love from Linköping. 😄

0:19. They mean 800 degrees Celsius not Fahrenheit because we use Celsius not Fahrenheit in Sweden and 800 degrees Celsius = 1472 degrees Fahrenheit. So you're absolutely right 800 degrees Celsius is hot
This was really fun! A true punk classic probably the best! Thanks for the reminder!
800°C about 1600°F is the tempreture they use to cremate people.
Vi är barn av vår tid - Nationalteatern is one that I would love to see your reaction to!

I sang this at a karaoke in a disco once, they turned the volume down, I sounded really terrible. Before I went up on the stage I told my friends that this will be the first and the last time I ever do karaoke (we also did "Vill ha dig" but that was together. This took place for about 15 years ago. I have not done it again. The screams at the end of the song sounds cool with Thåström but not with me.
It's kinda funny that you almost released this video on the date which Ebba Grön stopped being a band. On the morning of february 21st, 1983, they made a public announcement saying that they would stop making music as Ebba Grön. That date and year also happens to be when I was born.
Jonathan! Havent heard your voice since maybe AMK Morgon or something... Appreciate the concept you seem to flow with here!
This was all sorts of fun. Cool to hear your take on it. It's sort of always been around for me, so I can't really hear it fresh anymore. Anyway, staying söder om söder, if you haven't heard it you could try "Alla ska i jorden" with Farsta's Keith Richards, Stefan Sundström... Would really be interesting to hear what you think. Fair warning, though... There's darkness in that one too. Or perhaps melancholy, is the word. Or just plain morbidity. :) Also, in all fairness, I will give Juvenile a listen. I mean, why not, right?
There is a very tone down song on this record called Mental Istid. Its about the computer socayity and all of it has happened in many ways😢 Sorry about my crappy English spelling...
Please listen to "CC cowboys" You will love the guitar riff i bet and its Thåström from Ebba Grön who sings

Its so cold the child freezes to death but the krematorium will be there u can trust it! Its so dark...
And it's degrees Celsius (800), not Fahrenheit (1472). If you have any US watcher :)
Joakim Thåström,the singer in Ebba grön was in a band later on called Imperiet, which i like better. Its a more rock band. They made many great songs like "Du ska va president" "Briggen bluebird of Hull" and"Märk hur vår skugga" react to them! Btw they are from Rågsved

Härligt upplyftande med lite Ebba Grön. Tycker du skall testa att lyssna på The Creeps, song: ooh i like it!

How did you find the band ebba grön?
Regardless of record sales, this song has a level of ubiquity that's insane, at least among us elderly . Same with Livet är en fest by Nationalteatern. I guess younger folks have less of a connection with them.
We're freezing to death, it's so cold, poor child. But soon it will be hot. Yes, we're freezing to death, it's so cold, poor child. But soon it will be hot. It will be 800 degrees. 🇸🇪 🇸🇪

Also the supposed temperature of the fire storms after a nuclear blast, as per the documentary "The War Game"/"Krigsspelet" from 1966 which the band was inspired by. But, yeah, that pretty much lines up since it's the burning houses that are fueling the fire storm.

Best ever of Joakim Thåström (the singer in Ebba Grön): - Karenina - Fanfanfan - Keops pyramid (cover, the original band is Hoola Bandoola Band) - Die mauer - Alla vill till himlen And most of all the rest of his songs. By the way, the song 'Staten och kapitalet' is also a cover (original band is Blå tåget). Edit: Oh my, Of course Keops pyramid is is a Hoola Bandoola Band song (I knew that and my intetion was to write that but something came up and interrupted me and when I came back, everything I wrote went wrong). I was convinced though that Staten och kapitalet was a song by Nationalteatern but that is wrong (the correct band is Blå tåget). I feel a bit embarrassed right now.

Comment for the algo but I can add that if you want some more non mainstream punk (I mean.. Isn't that what punk really is?) you should give Dia Psalma a listen: Balladen Om Lilla Elsa, Emelie, Luft. Maybe someone can recommend a good song to start with, since they have a rougher sound than Ebba Grön.
Makes me think of the increasingly chaotic end part of Devo's Gut Feeling
Man you need to do Coca Cola Cowboy too, with Imperiet (which basically is Ebba Grön mark III)
Intressant att höra någon med andra kulturella referenser recensera svensk musik! Visste du att delar av gruppen Ebba Grön senare blev Imperiet som gjorde väldigt bra musik?
