That is very tame for Chubby! His voice is croaky because he had throat cancer in 2004 and had 2 of his vocal chords removed but I saw him live last month and his voice is pretty strong for his age and for the condition his throat is in! Away from the stage he is a wonderful person who has raised millions for charity and 70% of what his merchandise makes goes to charity as well as 100% of what people donate to do a meet and greet with him! Chubby at one time was the highest earning comedian in the whole country , success that he worked really hard for constantly touring and pounding the comedy circuit over decades . It is fair to say not everyone in the UK appreciates Chubbys humour even at his peak , but that's ok it never stopped his popularity. A lot of his jokes and references will be lost on non Uk folk but you get the gist of most of it .

My dad took me straight to the Pier and got me into a Chubby Brown show he had already brought the tickets earlier in the day it was class my mom went NUTS when she found out gave my dad a right earfull. when i went back to school i was top banana i was the only one to have seen Chubby "Live" we had all seen videos of him but no one had seen him live i met Chubby backstage with a few others he called me a cheeky little fucker for getting in to see him when he found out i was underage still signed my Tshirt though nice geezer Chubs is. This really was a fairly tame performance from him. In real life he does a lot to help local charities which he does quietly without attracting publicity. Let me recommend another english commedian MICKEY FLANAGHAN. A cockney (from London) stand up commedian Let me recommend 3 of his routines Google his name followed by 1. The Shits where he talks about visiting India and getting an upset stomach. 2. Pissing like a camel. Where he talks about the increase in alcohol consumption by women. 3. Increase in teenage pregnancies. Fingering! I think you'll like him. Buy your good lady some lash laquer combats the embarasing situation of moist and matted eyelashes😉😂😂

I met him a few years ago while working as a photographer for a celebrity meet and greet event. An absolutely thoroughly nice bloke and not at all like his stage persona when you meet the real life Roy. Britains Greatest for over 30 years! 🇬🇧

Roy chubby brown - UFO - The Movie. Worth a watch. I've seen chubby live a good few times and he's always good but he excelled every time I've watched him in Blackpool. It's like his second home and he probably single handedly saved Blackpool as a holiday destination through the he late 80s and 90s with his almost nightly comedy shows bringing in millions of people every year. He still does it now although not as often but the guys getting on for 80 and he's survived cancer,/tumors (I think. He might have had both but not 100% sure) but aswell as him giving a good show he's happy to have a quick chat and a photo after the show. If you ever get the chance to see him, take the opportunity. It's worth it. Especially if you can catch one of his Blackpool shows. It's like he's ten times better when he performs there. Also, the movie I mentioned above is partly set in Blackpool aswell.

The misunderstood thing about Chubby Brown was that he rip the piss out of absolutely everyone and everything. People isolate the jokes about women and minorities and make him out to be bigoted and misogynistic when the truth is he's pretty vile to everyone and it's funny as.

That’s funny watching your reactions!! Many years ago we went to see Chubby at the Aquarius club in Chesterfield (Derbyshire UK) absolutely the most outrageous un politically correct gig but one of the funniest things I have ever seen. My stomach muscles ached!! My sister in law was not a fan but she had mascara running down her face by the end of the night. Good stuff, thanks.

Seen him live, got his signed autograph and signed autograph book, But here in the UK, we have to many snowflakes not liking a good laugh, sense of humour as they are from this day still trying to cancel him and the rest of the comedians of today, Same goes for the classic TV 70's and 80's programmes, This generation haven't really had a good bringing up, as there parents must have dropped them on there heads,
