One other Option is some companies offers it s employees an opportunity to own it s shares at a discounted rate or they put certain percentage of money when we invest, I felt this as one of very effective way to earn an additional money. mostly services company on a overall market is always growing high on a year to year basis. so this could be one of the best option if your employer offers.

Im on H1B and did pattern day trading unknowingly one time and acc has been locked - will it impact me? 2. I arrived US by nov 2019 and filed TAX in IRS. Still i didnt get my return. Checked the status in IRA official website but its says still its processing. (i started to do trading after march)

Kindly update us on the recent exceptions to the proclamations made. It says if principal applicant (H1B ) is in US , spouse can apply for h4 and get it stamped once consultates are open.

Overall great video and useful information. A few things to point out, for the savings account analysis, you didn't take into account several things. First, HYSA usually have variable rates meaning they change with the fed interest rate (most HYSA's have almost only 1% interest now) unless you lock in a fixed rate CD. Second, the usd to inr changes everyday, so I don't think it's a fair comparison to just take the value of the dollar exactly one year ago (maybe a rolling average of a month might be better suited). Third, you might want to subtract fees for transferring amount to India, wouldn't be an apples to apples comparison without that. I think even in India, if you do a little bit of research, I think you can get rates of upto 7% similar to a HYSA here

Hi Arthi and Prem, you mentioned about CitiBank giving 2.3% interest; when I talked to a CitiBank representative, she said anywhere between 0.04-0.06% which is extremely different. Are you referring to a different bank or am I missing something? Please help. Thanks!
