한복과 팔각정, 달토끼, 시베리아호랑이 같이 전통적인것부터 스노우어플, 행사장인형, 상어(뮤비에서는 아기상어라기보단 죠스→아가리(파이터)를 나타내는듯) 같이 근래 한국에서 유행하는것이 나오구요. 그런데 디즈니셔츠라던가 양키모자, 앙카라패턴정장, 사파리느낌 동물과 배경, 그리고 사자인형, 그리고 가사에 나오는 오우삼까지 다양하게 글로벌한 요소들이 있습니다. 그리고 멤버들이 직접 그린 그림이 지나가는데 이건 심리치료기법에 쓰이는 거라고 합니다. 럽마이셀프. 스스로를 사랑하기 위해 정체성을 확인하고, 수많은 자아와 마주하고, 아픈 부분은 치료하고 말이죠. 가사에 충실한 내용을 담고 있으면서 확장된 해석이 가능한 언제나 훌륭한 방탄소년단의 뮤비입니다. +) 다음 감상할 BTS MV는 SAVE ME 어떠신가요.

아이돌이란 말은 한국에서 기획사에서 만들어낸 그룹들을 말한다고 생각해요 우리는 모든 가수를 아이돌이라고 하지 않아요 옛날부터 아이돌은 기획사에서부터 상업적으로 만들어져나온 이들이기 때문에 다른가수들보다 실력이 떨어질것이다 라는 편견이 많았어요 그래서 이노래에서 자신을 아이돌이라고 부른다고 해도 신경쓰지 않는다고 하는겁니다! 지금은 아이돌이라고 무시받지 않지만 이전에는 아이돌을 무시하는 경향이 많았다고 알려드리고 싶었어요:)

@@Hwan_ya 네 그렇죠.. 요즘 '개량'이란 어휘의 늬앙스때문에 '생활한복'으로 바꿔보자는 작은 움직임들을 보고 국어사전을 찾아보니; 개량 (改良) [개ː량] [명사] 나쁜 점을 보완하여 더 좋게 고침. 이라고 나와있더군요. 방탄소년단으로 인해서 여러모로 배우고 있는 중입니다.. 궁디빵빵님이 선택하신 어휘에 대해서 제가 가타부타할 수 없다는 거 잘 알고 있으며 죄송합니다..

화면을 보면 한국적인 요소들이 엄청나게 나오는 데 중동같다고 하네. 오리엔탈 건축양식, 정자, 부채, 탈춤, 사자놀이, 풍악, 판소리의 추임새도 들리고 호랑이도 나오고 완전히 탈춤의 힙합버전 같은데 블랙핑크 뚜두뚜두의 마지막 장면에 나왔던 건축양식과 이 노래의 건축양식은 태생적으로 같음.

우리 아이들도 좋아 하는 노래예요 들리니 따라 부르네요 한국적인 요소가 많아서 개인적으로도 좋아 하는 뮤비 입니다 달에 토끼라던지 탈춤에 나오는 사자들이라던지 (한국은 달에 토끼가 산다고 생각했어요 ) 어쨌든 자랑 스럽습니다

Just subscribed. Also want to say thank you for reacting to BTS. You mentioned their style. Yes, it tends to be on point, different yet cohesive. We can all thank those stylist noonas who basically were with the boys from the beginning and the members themselves. Every member is known for their "own" style that even their make up style is specific for each member. I remember that Jimin's eye make up once inspired tutorial videos. He's like a walking St Laurent ad at times. RM back then would post his style "Kim Daily” (We suspect Jimin, V & JK were the photographers😊). And he pulls it off because of his physique and innate style sense. JHope would show his street style fashion & dancing skills via "Hope on the street". Hobi also models his older sister's merch from time to time. He is full of charm and surprises. V's fashion is very retro with a modern twist and the stylists understand that. He could certainly model for Gucci and they'd be thanking him. Jin is Jin: Classic & reliable but fun like Super Mario. He found Thom Browne a while back and is said to be a VIP buyer. Suga is known for his straight forward but comfortable street style fashion (Visvim, Mastermind etc). He likes to throw in a bit of Balenciaga & Gucci accessories just because. JK is the rebel. Probably because of the older members style influence😉 He went thru the white shirt,jeans and Timberland phase; the all black phase. Now he's in the Carhartt and Korean traditional yet modernized phase. All the members can pull off any look from what I can gather. Ooops! Didn't mean to do a litany, my apologies. Y'all got me going at the mention of style. Again, thank you for your genuine reactions and commentaries. Hoping to see more reactions, evaluations & such on this YT channel. Ciao!

해가 뜨는 장면으로 시작해서 마지막에 해가지는 장면으로 끝나죠. 전세계를 다니며 공연한다는 의미가있어요. 노란 지붕장면에선 한복이며 기와며 한국적인것이 보이고요. 호랑이도 나타나고 '사랑'글자도 나타나고요. 뮤비보게되서 너무 좋네요^^

Thank you for these comments; at lease the reactors will not anymore say "middle eastern vibe".

They made that video because people started hating them after they started to get a rising platform and so they made the song to show the people that are hating that they can never take away what they have and hence why they say things like "i know what i want, im never gonna trade, im never gonna change" etc. Showing them that they are not phased by them and that they will always continue what theyre doing without letting words bringing them down.

Jhope wearing bugsbunny too its all like sayin We wear what we want cs we like it and thats that, we dont give a shit if u dont. BTS was treated very badly for the first few years after debut. The rap line were accused of selling out and not being "real" rappers because they were Idols. They were called girls for wearing makeup and looking "pretty". They came from a small company that wasn't part of the "big three" and therefore were either barred from events or treated second class by variety shows, anti's, and award shows. They were accused of things they were not guilty of like plagiarism. It took them a long time, lots of dedication and insane amounts of hard work for them to crawl out from under that shadow. And look at them now. That's what this song is about. It's a clapback to all the hate they had to face saying basically that they don't care what people call them or say about them, they are just going to keep doing their thing which is being the biggest band in the world and breaking records left and right. The song also confirms BTS's message to ARMY that loving yourself is the most important thing you can do for yourself in this world. That if your foundation is self love then everything else will be built strong on that foundation. Don't let the world tear you down or make you doubt yourself.

The drum beats were African remember the giraffe(clue) plus their outfits. Their mv are always filled with symbolism and clues also the lyrics maybe you should turn those on. This mv was basically them telling their haters to mind their own business. They are who they are and they're not changing. Nice reaction

Okay Middle Eastern vibe, Spanish Vibe...well yeah it's exotic. The answer is, Idol is very Korean styled music and music video. I can't pick out every single detail, but here we go ~ 1. The verse, Ursoo (얼쑤) which is one of Chu Im Sae (추임새). You'll know what it is instantly when you watch Pansori. Chu Im Sae is a group of sort of reactions/ exclamations that is used in Pansori (Korean traditional (singing storytelling)music) to make the song more interesting, exciting and to achieve certain effect or certain mood on the song. Pansori is normally consisted of two people. The singer/storyteller called Soriggoon and the other making the beat with Book(Korean traditional drum, not the book you read) called Gosoo. It's not like separate storytelling combining singing, more like singing storytelling. So, Chu Im Sae plays kind of another beat/backing chorus as the Book(the drum) sound goes or the story goes. 2. The yellow digital temple like background symbolizes crucial part of Korean traditional architectural style and BTS is in Hanbok on it. (I know it doesn't look like traditional Hanbok tho.) 3. There's a intense color spinning in circle made out of countless numbers of Fans is representing Korean traditional fan dance called Boo Chae Chum (부채춤). You can get a little taste of it on BTS MMA Idol performance at Jimin solo part. 4. Almost at the end, there are huge colorful furry things(?) dancing with BTS. They are slightly modernized version of traditional Korean dancing suit(?) for the dance called Saja Chum (사자춤 The Lion Dance). It's normally two people in the suit (looking more like lions than them appeared on the MV), dancing/making moves inspired by movements of Lions. The dance is often done with Samulnolee (사물놀이) which is Korean traditional type of orchestra normally going with little dances and little circus things while playing instruments. You should check out if you haven't seen any. You might get a hint from BTS MMA show performing Idol. 5. The song's rhythm/beat is literally Korean traditional one called Gutgeori Jangdan(pronounced like Goodgirie 굿거리 장단). It's the famous and basic rhythm/beat for Book(the drum)playing. The original rhythm/beat of Gutgeori Jangdan is Dung Gi Deok Kung Duh Ruh Ruh Ruh Ruh Kung Gi Duk Kung Duh Ruh Ruh Ruh. You heard BTS saying Dung Gi Deok Kung Duh Ruh Ruh Ruh which is first half of the rhythm/beat. TMi: all of Koreans are so used to Gutgeori Jangdan. Because they've learned playing Book at elementary school. Other than Gutgeori Jangdan, there are more dynamic rhythm/beats that they are so so familiar.Almost like in their blood. I know most comments are saying to go watch the Idol MV analysis (and you really should because it’s full of good insights!!!) but if you never go, here are some bullets of what I remember reading along the years: 1. The first verses are key, “call me artist, but if you think Idols are not artists, fine, stick to calling me Idol, I don’t care because I’m proud of who I am either way”. This goes to all haters who say Idols are not true artists. 2. They get so much criticism for their looks, or for superficial things, so they defy those opinions: RM using cute filters even if he got told that he looked bad with them, or V using glasses, when he also got hate for it before. 3. Along the video, there are some dance steps that emulate PSY’s, to diss the people who say that all kpop artists sound like Gangnam style, when there’s actually so much variety. They are embracing the comparison instead of being upset about it. 4. “Kpop music videos are full of CGI, all videos are the same”. So they went crazy with the CGI on this video, hater gonna hate even if they don’t use CGI all the time. 5. “Kpop groups have so many members, and they all look the same”. So that scene with a bunch of spinning copy pasted heads around Jimin is them saying that the number of members is not important, all of them are individuals with something to bring to the table.
