Chad, you're absolutely right! The purpose of the film is to show their pure talents as performers. That's why there's no fancy set with all kinds of props, colorful lighting, or any CGI/effects like regular kpop mvs. It's actually really bold attempt. The background is just broad vacant ground, and the only lighting is sunlight. All they got is BTS and the backup dancers - literally the performers. Even the shooting, they barely cut the scene almost like one take. Which means, They just focused on the performance itself, and showed it raw. It means they're confident of their skills that much. It's like "We can be this great without any stage setting because we're purely talented performers." They proofed themselves such a brilliant way. 채드 말이 정확해요! 이 필름의 목적은 방탄의 퍼포머로서의 순수한 기량을 보여주는 거에요. 그렇기 때문에 보통의 케이팝 뮤비들처럼 온갖 소품과 세트장, 화려한 조명, CG나 효과가 없어요. 사실 굉장히 과감한 시도죠. 배경은 광활한 텅빈 공터고 유일한 조명은 햇빛이에요. 준비되어 있는 건 방탄과 댄서들 뿐. 촬영 조차 거의 장면 전환이나 컷 없이 원테이크처럼 단순하게 찍었어요. 즉, 퍼포먼스 그 자체를 날 것 그대로 보여준거에요. 그만큼 방탄이 정말 퍼포먼스에 자신이 있다는 거죠. "우린 무대 장치없이 퍼포먼스만으로 이렇게 멋있을 수 있음" 이런 거ㅋㅋ 진짜 멋지게 증명해냈죠😘

I really appreciate how open minded y'all are to even THINK about reacting to ON because it's KPOP and a lot of people avoid it because it's "only for teenage girls". 총 3번 촬영했고 두번째껄 쓴걸로 알고 있어요^^ 연습이 완벽하기 때문에 대부분 세번정도 해요. 에너지 소모도 엄청 나니까여^^ 미국 댄서분이 촬영후에 5일을 집에서 쉬었다는 글을 봤는데 방탄의 체력이 얼마나 대단한지 알 수 있죠ㅋ 방탄은 촬영후에도 또다른 뮤비를 2개나 찍고 미국방송들 스케줄을 했으니까여^^

저도 이 생각 했어요~~ 처음에 on 영상 공개됐을때 너무 쩔어서 아무리 방탄이라도 이건 라이브 무리다 했는데 투나잇쇼에서 무려 on을 라이브로.. 그것도 키네틱 필름 퍼포먼스 그대로 재현해서 너무 놀랐었죠..

Watching you and your reaction for the first time. The woman in the front line in the middle that they zoom in on is the choreographer and her dance troupe is preforming here with BTS. They rehearsed and filmed this in the LA area. They chose UCLA percussion for their band line. You can find them recording their part and the back up singers part online. Suga wrote the dance interlude. I first saw them on Feb 24, 2020 on Jimmy Fallon's show when they performed "On" at Grand Central Station. I had never been so WOWed before at a boy band. My first kpop experience. I became an instant fan and have watched their videos every day. They ARE the best at choreography of any group of all time. Welcome to the fan family. I enjoy watching new people experience them for the first time. I hope you do watch the videos of their past 7 years of experience. And I hope you get to know each one of them personally. They are outstanding human beings who love their fans, the Army. And they are so talented and passionate yet very humble. Again, welcome to the exciting World of BTS.

The director of most of BTS' videos is called LUMPENS. He is so talented and he's been with BTS almost as long as they've been in the industry. Same as their dance choreographer. Bighit/HYBE has always been about sharing your talent and they're just one big FAMILY.

I love how open-minded these guys are. Kudos! I love it when music transcends language and cultural barrier.

The kinetic manifesto isn’t the official music video it was an extra to showcase their dancing. It was filmed mainly using drones and shot in around 6 hours. You can actually watch the making off where you get a lot of the behind the scenes. BTS have a very diverse music style and create a lot of their own music. Part of what makes them so good is that they are not afraid to try something different. They do slot more the though the have a weekly variety show called run bts which is hilarious to watch they Aldi have shows like Bon voyage where you see them travel / go on holiday and try and experience normal holiday experiences and in the soop (meaning in the Forrest) which is when the travelled in Korea ( due to Covid). There is so so much to check out and once you fall down that BTS rabbit hole there is no going back 💜

JImin "getting frisky" at the end there -- -Haha! There is a video out there that shows the filming with the drone. Most of it was filmed with a drone. Also the girl in the center in the opening shot is the choreographer of ON - Sienna Lalau. She is like 19 years old. . She also choreographed Dionysus for them and CHicken Noodle Soup for J Hope. Dancers are from her troupe The Lab. Marching band is UCLA band members.
