There are very good reasons why we Muslims love to celebrate Ramadhan! For example: 1- So we Muslims always remember and fear to Allah (God). Fasting is an amaliah and bodily worship that has many privileges and a very great influence in the lives of Muslims worldwide. The wisdom of fasting in fact can form a believer who achieves the level of true piety to Allah s.w.t. The words of Allah s.w.t: Meaning: "O you who believe, it is obligatory upon you to fast as it was obligatory upon those before you so that you may be pious." (Al-Baqarah: 183) Successful fasting increases one's taqwa and cultivates positive resilience both spiritually and physically. In fact, fasting can test our ability and soul to face various difficulties or challenges in human life. The influence of fasting that can train people to achieve taqwa means to prepare themselves to accept the bounty of Allah towards a high position in this world and the hereafter. 2- Can Strengthen Islam. The perfection of a Muslim is based on obedience to perform fasting for a month in each year in the month of Ramadan and accompanied by other acts of worship such as prayer, zakat and hajj. Rasulullah s.a.w. said: Meaning: “Islam is founded on five joints: acknowledging that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, establishing prayers, paying zakat, fasting in the month of Ramadan and pilgrimage to the Kabbah in Mecca. (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim) Allah s.w.t commands mankind to fast only among the believers. For every Muslim man and woman who is sick of syar'i is required to leave fasting, then replaced on other days. Fasting can educate a person with a noble personality and keep themselves from doing things which is prohibited by sharia. 3.The Revelation of the Qur'an as a Guide to Mankind The month of Ramadan is the month of the revelation of the Al-Quran which is the guide and guideline of life for mankind. In fact, the Al-Quran is also a fortress between good and bad things. The words of Allah s.w.t .: Meaning: "The month of Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed as a guide for mankind and an explanation and as a differentiator between the right and the wrong." (Al-Baqarah: 185) The month of Ramadan was chosen by Allah for the battle of Badr. In that war, the collapse of Jahiliah began and Islam was established through the word of Allah and in this month the Muslims were able to conquer the city of Makkah from the Musyrikin so that they could change the Jahiliah belief to the Islamic belief. bestowed by Allah in the month of Ramadan.

    4. Erasing All Past Sins. Fasting can educate spiritually and physically so that it can cleanse the heart and soul from all things that are not good and useless. Therefore, in addition to that can cleanse the heart and soul because fasting is done because of faith and hope for Allah (God)'s pleasure, Allah (God) will surely forgive all past sins . Rasulullah s.a.w. said: Meaning: "Whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan because of faith and expects the pleasure of Allah(God) will be forgiven of all his past sins." (Narrated by Ahmad and Ashabus Sunan) The month of Ramadan is a month of training and human awareness of all past mistakes and sins so that all his prayers and repentance are accepted by Allah s.w.t. So fasting can be kaffarah for Muslim men and women to remove all mistakes as long as they do not commit major sins. 5.. The Gates of Heaven are opened, the gates of Hell are closed and Satan is shackled During the month of Ramadhan, Allah s.w.t with His Mercy gives a guarantee that is full of privileges to Muslims, namely the opening of the gates of heaven as a reward and reward. In another hadith the Prophet s.a.w. said: Meaning: "In that month the gates of hell are closed, the gates of heaven are opened and the devils are shackled. He said again, and an angel exclaimed: 'O lovers of good, rejoice. O lovers of evil, it will be until Ramadan ends." (HR. Ahmad and Nasa'i) In the month of Ramadan, Allah s.w.t has opened all the gates of heaven as a blessing and a great reward for Muslims who sincerely fast. satan, Allah has shackled them from inciting and preventing Muslims from fasting. 6. Allah(God) keep the believer Away From Hell For 70 Years Fasting, in addition to increasing faith and piety as well as being able to form a noble personality, is also given the great privilege of being kept away by Allah from the torment of hellfire on the Day of Judgment for 70 years. Rasulullah s.a.w. said: Meaning: "There is no fasting of a servant one day (because) fisabilillah, but Allah (God) will keep a person away from the fire of hell for 70 years." (Narrated by Jama'ah except Nasa'i and Abu Daud)

Can’t charity be given year round? There’s been criticism in the West about people who are charitable at Christmas and I’m equally sus about people who are only charitable on Ramadan.

@@littlecatfeet9064 In Islam, there are many acts which can lead to immeasurable reward - both today and in our Hereafter; these acts are commonly referred to as sadaqah jariyah. Sadaqah jariyah is an act of giving in a way that keeps on giving. For example, if you were to invest in planting a tree, that tree would then go on to provide shelter for as long as it stands - meaning you shall receive an ongoing reward for as long as it stands, too. “Surely the men who give sadaqah and the women who give sadaqah and have advanced a good loan to Allah (God); for them it will be multiplied and for them there is a noble reward.” - The Holy Qur’an (57:18)

It's not about having big meals before and after fasting. It's the quality and the amount of food [and drinks] that you consume which will determine how you're going to endure during fasting. And it's understandable that when we break our fast the floodgates will burst and we'll be chowing down whatever food and drinks we see after a whole day without them. But the trick is to take a sip of water and little bite of something sweet to regain our energies. Otherwise, trust me. You'll be lethargic as heck afterwards. A tip: coffee before fasting is not a good thing. It'll dehydrate your body before you know it. Plain water is suffice. Actually it is the best liquid. Another thing is that Ramadan and fasting have broader meanings. Not only to empathize with those who are less fortunate. But on a personal level, it's to practice self-restrain like anger, lust, etc. We also are to avoid meaningless things like gossips. Btw, I'd rather they call "gathering" than "party".

Ramadan helps us to feel the poor people, to purify our bodies from toxins and to purify our souls, it teaches us commitment and self-control when food and water are in front of us, but we refrain from that for the love of God and his commands (believe me, we feel strong and we hope that the whole year is Ramadan!)

Muslim here. I have never been able to eag much during Ramadhaan. I've never seen any of my friends or family eat much because after breaking the fast with a date and water and a few spoons of food, I'm full. Every other day, I can eat much more food.

How good is BTN! If you’re not familiar with it Behind The News (BTN) is a news/information show aimed at kids made in Adelaide South Australia. It’s been in production for 50 years this year and as well as these segments they produce classroom teaching aids for teachers. It’s all put together by the wonderful ABC. I’m thankful to live in a very multicultural country in Australia. Our North to South passenger rail service is named “The Ghan” in honour of the Afghan cameleers that originally opened Australia’s interior up.

The poor people remark may be a bit blunt and what kids say. It is more to appreciate what you have and be modest. Sometimes, you really dont need a lot. It is more towards self control. Yes, maybe it is to be more emphathatic towards the people who has less but it should really be phrased properly. 😅😐🤭

Catholic peoples from time immemorial have set apart Friday for special penitential observance by which they gladly suffer with Christ that they may one day be glorified with Him. This is the heart of the tradition of abstinence from meat on Friday where that tradition has been observed in the holy Catholic Church. Peace out.

good for you miles and meal planning is not over the top at all, training yourself to eat healthier is difficult and anything you can do to make it easier so you dont fall of the wagon is the way to go. and fasting is a great way to help reboot your system. you are feeling more energised and alert because your body isnt using that extra energy breaking down bad foods and you have alot less toxins in your body. keep up the weight loss journey mate, and good for you! too many people use any excuse they can get their hands on to stay unhealthy and overweight.becsause its just easier. also being fitter will make your visit here to oz a lot easier on you, especially if you plan on doing alot of hikes for killer views.
