Makes you emotional! Makes me bloody proud 🇬🇧
Great reaction. Jerusalem is like a hymn. The first verse talks about whether Jesus ever walked in England’s “green and pleasant” land, whilst contrasting it with the “dark satanic mills” of the Industrial Revolution. The second verse talks about the “mental fight” all people have to strive to do good, and only then can the Holy City Jerusalem be built (figuratively, not literally) in England’s green and pleasant land. God Save the Queen brings tears to my eyes because we still miss her.

The "Dark Satanic Mills" refer to the Mills of Satan - ie the Devil's deeds and not literal factories
At Grammer school in the 1960s we sang Jerusalem every morning in assembly.

respect to you ladies. all the best from England
‘God save the Queen’ (now ‘God Save the King’) is the British National Anthem. The reason the crowd respected the conductor was because they knew that the national anthem was coming. It’s respect. 😉
We used to sing Jerusalem at school many years ago, have morning prayer and other hymns,, it was like it made the day better and united us,, sadly now when my kids went to Catholic school there's no togetherness,, diversity has destroyed the schools and our faith.... God save the Queen,, she was a wonderful lady 🙏 and now God save the king,,, he's got big shoe's to fill... Our Queen was one of the most respected ladies on the planet and is missed greatly... God bless ma'am and may you rest in God's eternal light.. 🙏🇬🇧
Love you Ladies, Love from UK!
Believe me ladies, it's much better when you're there, and I was, inside the Royal Albert Hall for that one! By the way, that was her late Majesteys'favourite arrangement of the anthem.

Lyrics to God Save the Queen: 🇬🇧 God save our gracious Queen, Long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen! Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us, God save the Queen! Thy choicest gifts in store, On her be pleased to pour, Long may she reign! May she defend our laws, And ever give us cause, To sing with heart and voice, God save the Queen! Obviously now it’s God Save the King, same anthem but Queen is King, her/his, she/he.

Girls... you make me smile ❤ from Northeast England ❤️
I miss the queen. The Boss .
Go on Girls!
Nice one ladies . Keep smiling .. Don't worry . No one knows the second verse .
You ladies are great. You make me smile in spite of myself. A lot of the flags that are not the Union Jack are flags of Wales and Ireland and Scottland (yes, they have their own separate flags). But also there are many flags of army detachments and naval groups (I don't know any details of them). And of course, there are flags from other countries: USA, Germany, France, just not a lot of them. One reason I watch that Proms video a good dozen of times a year is for that feeling of respectful unity where all countries can be together in peace. I guess it's sort of like the Olympics for me. God save the Queen. I will miss her. I had great respect for her (even though I'm an Yankee)
Now you need to do Rule Britannia at the last night of the proms and also The Festival of Remembrance- and/or I Vow To Thee My Country

And did those feet in ancient time walk upon Englands mountains Green, and did the Holy Lamb of God on Englands pleasant pastures seen? And did the Countenance Divine, shine forth upon our crowded hills, and was Jerusalem builded here, among those dark satanic mills? 2.Bring me my bow of burning gold, bring me my arrows of desire. bring me my spear, Oh clouds unfold! Bring me my chariot of fire! I will not cease from mental fight, nor shall my sword sleep in my hand, till we have built Jerusalem on england's green and pleasant Land!
What are you laughing at? The Albert Hall is an outstanding place. The acoustics are wonderful. This annual event takes place in September. The hall is packed with patriotic people from all countries, waving flags and singing their heads off. Jerusalem is a very British hymn, the words have deep meaning. We learn this hymn in school. God save the Queen very poignant, as she is sadly no longer with us..God save the King now.

You should react to 'Land of Hope and Glory' and 'Rule Britannia' from the Last Night of the Proms. Also ' I Vow to Thee My Country' at the 2022 Remembrance Service sung by Luke Evans (the actor)
Enjoyed both of them. Try listening to Jerusalem sung by Fat Lez. It's different but also good.
Great show girls.
Tha Royal Albert Hall was completed and opened in 1871 by Queen Victoria. It is named after her beloved late husband Prince Albert.

The full lyrics to our National Anthem are below, however at most official occasions, either the first verse alone, or the first and final verse, of the anthem are sung, with the middle three verses omitted. God save our gracious King, Long live our noble King, God save the King! Send him victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us, God save the King! O Lord our God arise, Scatter our enemies, And make them fall! Confound their politics, Frustrate their knavish tricks, On Thee our hopes we fix, God save us all! Not in this land alone, But be God’s mercies known, From shore to shore! Lord make the nations see, That men should brothers be, And form one family, The wide world o’er. From every latent foe, From the assassins blow, God save the King! O’er his thine arm extend, For Britain’s sake defend, Our father, prince, and friend, God save the King! Thy choicest gifts in store, On him be pleased to pour, Long may he reign! May he defend our laws, And ever give us cause, To sing with heart and voice, God save the King!

JERUSALEM IS WHAT ? 😂 Complete. Absolute. Rubbish. ‘There’ll Always Be An England’ is your Anthem (but I can see why you don’t want to claim it !😂)
Tar and feather
Nobody should talk when the National Anthem is being played as it's considered disrespectful, it's also traditional to stand up up when it is being played but that seems to have gone out of the window now.
