yoongi has enlisted but he’s doing an alternate to the usual military service due to his shoulder injury so we haven’t got a video from his enlistment. his enlistment period is also longer than the others so although he left earlier he will return at a similar time to rm, jimin, tae and jk !

Jimin and Jungkook chose to enlist together using the buddy system! They'll serve together in the same division for 18 months. It's very sweet, at least they'll always be there for each other.

Vacation leave has nothing to do anymore , they aren't allowed to save their vacation leave to use before discharge date , they have to use their leave upon given by the unit .

@@crystalsnow1138My father was in Korean military, you won't be discharged early if you save your vacation days. If you are discharged from military service you're automatically placed under Reserve Forces to serve for the following six to eight years. Required by the Reserve Forces Act, a person must attend multiple Reserve Forces training sessions each year. But because it's BTS they will be on the list (because they chose to serve) but they'll have a less likely chance to be serving because they're the biggest k-pop group.

Info shared by Jin & Jhope is that they're doing extremely well They have achieved milestones in military(I'm not very versed with military positions from what I understood both got into high positions)

Glad you saw this! Only 6 months until jin can get out, at least. 9 more months for j-hope. They’re all strong, resilient, friendly, used to tough training and living in close quarters but I still can’t help worrying and wishing for the best… at least they’ll see each other on days off (and jimin and jk will have each other) and once it’s done, nothing will be ominously hanging over their head anymore!

They have alternative service (it's more like an office job) if you can't be an active duty soldier due to physical limitations. The downside of that is it's longer service (21 months instead of 18 months). That's what Suga is doing because of his past shoulder injury. I once heard a former Korean soldier say something along the lines of if you can walk, you can serve. It takes a lot to be completely exempted from military service due to health reasons.

Yoongi left after Hobi, but like people already mentioned he is doing the alternative version so he will be back by the same time as the maknae line. For me the thing that most worried is the bullying. Because there have been rumors/news of idols being seriously misstreated by other soldiers. I remember Taemin (who was on Suchwita) got really bad there.. i think he even had to switch units or had a health leave or something. My friend is a big fan of him and i remember the rumors of how bad bullying was for him in the military. From all of their achivments so far it seems like Jin and JHope are thriving.. but you never know what goes on behind the scenes. I am just soo happy that at least Jimin and JK will be together. (Since Jimin is good friends with Taemin and probably heard first hand from him how it was)

The fact that during that free time with the phone's, they sometime just message Army on Weverse 😭🤚

the fact that the other bts members always took days off or even travelled to be able to be there is so sweet, jimin and jungkook only had yoongi and hobi cause they were enlisting in jin's training center (he works as a training instructor and got the rank of a sergeant , hoseok is one as well and is a corporal ) idk too much but i believe some kpop idols got bullied in the military unfortunately, jin had the worst incident cause a stalker who works as a nurse illegally administered him some unneeded vaccines just to meet him earlier this year. otherwise i saw some anecdotes of ppl saying jin and hobi were great instructors and the guys they were with liked them, but we wont really know until they leave and decide if they want to share their experience or not (edited to fix the ranks!)

I think Jin is the Sergeant and Hoseok is the corporal. Sergeant is a higher rank and Jin last gave us a special update that he's a Sergeant now.

Actually, people with Tattoos weren't allowed to join Special Forces but then many started getting tattoos to escape getting into those special forces so now even with tattoos you can join the special forces.... Jimin and Jungkook went in as "Buddies" so they will stay together in the military

Their bond as brothers and as a band is truly special. To know, that they didn't have to enlist yet and still did it to reunite together fast says a lot about them as a whole group and their trust for one another. Jhope and Rm had 2 years left before entering, Jimin and V had 3 years left, and JK had 4 years left before having to go and they all chose to go NOW and be together as a group within 2 years instead of 7 is beautiful.

9:49 There are photos of Jin and Hobi from the military. Jin still posts on his Instagram sometimes and a few of the photos were posted from their ceremony and official sources. Jin and Hobi keeps commenting and posting on their app Weverse too.

i think we are all worried about their safety bc obviously accidents can happen while you are serving a lot of koreans have talked about accidents that they suffered while being there that left them with irreparable physical damage and also there have been kpop idols who got harassed while being there and a lot of cases of invasion of privacy, things like taking pictures, spying on them while showering etc, but i pray the members stay safe and have a team ready to act if something does happen

Only Tae will serve in the special forces; RM is not age appropriate. RM and V will serve in the same training center for 5 weeks, but in different units. I can't wait for Jin to come back. HAPPY V DAY 💜

All of their service is 18 months but Yoongi went through a surgery due to his dislocated shoulder and so alternatively he was given community service worth 22 months. V & RM are in the same training center for now but Then they'll be deployed to their bases. Only V got in special forces.

They cant be on camera after enlistment so you hear their voices in the Background or for example hobis hand on jimins head at the end

Wes/Steph. Glad you are feeling better! It is definitely cold season! My grandkids had colds throughout Christmas and my Son & DIL both caught Covid again on Christmas eve! So be careful especially with young ones in the house. My husband and I are now fighting colds now since we cuddled with the grandkids during Christmas! Regarding BTS military, as many has said Jin & Hobi are both doing extremely well in their respective military duties. As noted all BTS is serve 18 months except Yoongi who is serving 21 months. Jin & Hobi, both became "Elite Warriors" in their divisions. To become an Elite Warrior, you need to pass the following: 90% hit rate in shooting (usually 18/20), 86 sit ups within 2 minutes, 72 push ups within 2 mins., 3km run within 12.5 mins., rapid marching in 20kg full gear, 5km run in 15 kg gear, 240 meters rount-trip race within 1 min. 20 sec and 420 times leg tugs. Jin was promoted early twice! Once as a Corporal & recently as a Sargent! JHope was also promoted earlier and is currently a Corporal as well! They are both highly respected Assistant drill instructors. JK & Jimin are training at Jin's boot camp although Jin is not their instructor. South Korea's military is very strict about soldiers earning any additional income besides their military pay while serving. Psy actually had to serve TWICE because he was found to had neglected his duties while serving (He had held concerts and performed on television), so he was requried to serve another term. (from Dec 2007-July 2009). This is the reason you do not see Jin, Hobi or Yoongi in the KZread BTS bombs even though they were there for both RM/V & JK/Jimin's enlistment since BTS KZread is monetized.

They can't appear on videos because they can't show on things that do profit or promotion, like they can post pictures on Twitter or Instagram but can't show on a KZread video per example!! Like on the last Bangtan bomb all of then were there but only the last 4 were filmed!!

Heres a bit of information: Jimin and Jungkook enlisted in the buddy system which means they will be together while training, and also when they're done training and starting the military work. Namjoon and Taehyung enlisted in the same unit which means that they will be training the same place, before being split up when they go into their branches etc. Yoongi has already enlisted but because of his shoulder injury he is doing special service which means he will do public work 9-5 and then go back home. This is also longer than the normal ones so while the other members are doing 18 months Yoongi is doing 21 months. About phone time/screen time it is not 1 hour per week, instead they have designated times every day where they can be on their phone (basically after they are done training). So when Hobi enlisted Jin was there but because of some rules enlisted people can't be shown on video (idk the complete rules) but Jin was in the group picture they took. For Namjoon and Taehyung's enlistment all the members were there but like I said Yoongi, Hobi and Jin couldn't be filmed but they were still in the group photo. And for Jimin and Jungkook´s enlistment I think only Yoongi and Hobi were there (Jin might have been there but Im pretty sure he wasn't?). Yoongi and Hobi couldn't be shown on the video but they were in a photo with Jimin and Jungkook.

In training (5 weeks) they get their cellphones for an hour a weekend but after it’s 3 hours a day + all day on weekends

yeah military members aren't allowed to be on camera. And for idols, they especially can't make money through the company while enlisted (all military members get a monthly stipend I believe), so the enlisted members did visit the other member's enlistment ceremonies. Also, Jin and Hobi went to one of Suga's concerts in Seoul. Since Suga had a shoulder injury, he is doing alternate service, which is basically a regular 9-5 job where you go to your job then go back home, and it's in the public sector (it could range from being an office worker, translator, teaching assistant, etc). He also has to do 21 months instead of 18 months like the other BTS members since alternative service is considered to be more "cushy", and Suga only has to be basic training (so for about 5 weeks), but it's not immediate like the other members.

Yeah East Asian men in general take a lot of pride in having full heads of healthy hair. That’s partially bc they don’t naturally have receding hairlines (like genetically it’s not in their gene pool) so you’ll rarely see an East Asian man bald or shaving their head. In fact, outside of the military there is an incredibly negative association with being bald or having a shaven head in East Asia. As a result, if you do shave your head they avoid you and assume you’re a gang member bc for the most part (again, outside of soldiers) only gang members shave their heads. So you’ll rarely see a man in Korea that doesn’t have a full head of hair, not just BTS.

military service is known to be a pretty bad experience for famous people, but the boys are doing much better than I expected, no horrible stories came out so far with some previous big idols, ppl took pictures while they were showering, some had to be moved to the military band because they were so harassed it's bad for everyone, I think, but a bit harder for famous people cuz all eyes are on you

Jins enlistment is finish this year in June, and 3 months later is J-hope out too, and the rest in 2025

It's fact that can be looked up. Jimin and Jungkook applied 3 months before enlistment to go in together on the buddy system. They will serve together the whole 18 months. They had to pass many interviews and qualify. It had to be something they both chose. Just check the SK website on qualifying for the buddy system.

Jin and j-hope have already had exemplary services. Both achieved Special Warrior status for their outstanding physical performance (including marksmanship), both were selected to be Training Assistants due to their incredible leadership skills, temperaments, discipline, and physical prowess, and both are Squad Leaders, too. Impressively, they've both each earned early promotions for their efforts--Jin is now a Sergeant and Hoseok is now a Corporal! It's too early to know how Joon, Tae, Jimin, and Jungkook are performing but I'm sure we'll see the same excellence in however they end up serving and, as for Yoongi, we haven't received any updates on his service but I'm sure he's thriving too. It's a shame they have to go and I'd give anything for them to not have to but I'm really proud of them for really taking the challenge head on and executing at the level they always have. It shows a lot of character and integrity. Honestly, I think it would be entirely fair for them to call it an 18 month vacation and coast. So I'm just amazed Jin and Hobi have accomplished all they have.

Its not a vacation by any means lets not romanticize and do propaganda for the military yeah. the military already do that enough by themselves

For the first few weeks in military, they get trained in training centres, so joon/tae, jimin/jk are together, LATER everyone is assigned to different locations (other than jimin n jk who enlisted in the buddy system) And i’m not sure about the cellphone for only one hour thing, they do have limited phone time, and they cant take/post pictures (without permission) but i’m pretty sure they have more than just one hour, but idk

0:10 Yoongi's military service is different, he's doing social services so he's already there but probably won't have a Bangtan bomb, and he also will do 21 months and not 18 months like the others!! He choose this one because of his shoulder!! I'll be honest and say idk much about it to really explain, but basically he won't do like military training and all, it's really more of social job(?) hope you understand!!

They were all examined by doctors before going there, they surely said that it would be too much for his health. But they do basic military training in a camp before being assigned to their duty though.

Apparently noted personal things about him, mole locations, underwear size etc. It’s so scary and disturbing that things happen that like. I felt so bad for him :(

thank you guys for reacting to this, everytime I see this is sad because I miss them a lot, but we know that every member recorded some extra content for us and to not feel so lonely, Taehyung just released a song where he is featuring a artist named UMI the song is WHEREVER U R if you can listen to it would be awesome. Korea has an alternative service if someone is not physically able to do the regular service, but is longer, it's 3 months longer than the regular service, and they do administrative work, Yoongi is doing that due to his shoulder surgery; and according to many reports, all members are adjusting to the service just fine, they are eating well, and most people are very respectful to them which I'm so glad, and I hope their entirely service will be that way. I'm happy because only 6 months more and Jin will get out!

Idols have been treated badly by people who want autographs or the shower looking for tattoos or other markings. Jimin and JK are going in as buddies. The buddy system allows them to enlist as a pair, ensuring that they undergo training and serve side by side throughout their military duty. It is supposed to ease the transition. They can support and know that they have each other. I love that they will have each other.

Actually family and friends are allowed to go. Tae's high school friends were there. And Jimin was once spotted seeing one of his friends off when he enlisted as well

Happy New Year! Thank you for reacting to all of these ❤ It makes me emotional everytime, especially considering that these guys have never been separated this long in their 12-13 years of knowing each other. Vmin have been stuck by the hip since high school... We're all worried and sad, but they're doing really well. Jin has risen up in rank quickly, and Hobi is following very close. I know both are in charge of training/observing the new trainees that come in, on top of other responsibilities I'm sure they have. Unfortunately, the scary part of enlisting as a famous person isn't exaggerated. There have been idols who were forced/have asked to be transferred somewhere else or do a different kind of service, just because of how uncomfortable they were in the military. Jin was also involved in a case where a medical professional was suspected of leaving her post to administer Jin's vaccine without authorization, but it's all been investigated and she's been found NOT guilty. The fandom was, of course, furious and after the investigation the worry just intensified. Even now, someone recently said that Tae and Joon (and probably also Jimin and Jungkook since it could be the same schedule) were undergoing through chemical/biological warfare training, which is basically being exposed to irritants in a room and being forced to take off their gas masks. That happened the day before Tae's birthday.. 😞 As for other info - Disclaimer: I'm not sure how true these are, since these are just stories of people who apparently know someone serving with BTS, and were translated by fans on Twitter. Jungkook is excelling in the physical training, which isn't surprising. Jin, most likely one of their superiors, has apparently jokingly said to Jungkook "not to work too hard because you're breaking my trust" (aka "You're doing so well that even I am scared for my position" 😂). Tae is also his usual self --- he is well-liked, is turning heads (and apparently sexualities) with his looks, and is said to be terrorizing the cafeteria by asking for seconds and being first in line if they ask who wants more. A day after he enlisted, fans joked on Twitter that he's probably made the captain smile by now (like what he did to Seojin in Jinny's Kitchen) and I believe it 😆 All of these are fun, wholesome stories but we don't know how true they are and it can get ugly really quick. I don't know much about it so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but after all the members' enlistment, a Korean app called The Camp that's meant for Korean families to keep track of their enlisted loved ones, revealed that they would start posting photos and updates about the idols in the military (and gaining money from disrespecting their privacy). HYBE thankfully put their foot down and quickly pulled BTS out of that so they can't be posted and stalked for that app's benefit. On another note, I hope you guys do a special reaction for Tae's birthday! I recommend V-ICNIC or his Pixid episode, but his song with UMI was just released too 👏🏻 It's sad that he can't see his birthday events this time (Fans put a video of him up on the Burj Khalifa for 2020 and 2021, he posed with pretty street installations last year, and now there's a giant Yeontan figure out there..) I wish you guys can see photos of all these! And the full group picture of our boys, too! The shot with just Jungkook, Tae, Joon, and Jimin actually had all seven of them. They posted a picture on Twitter and we finally got a rare glimpse of Yoongi and 2seok (Seokjin, Hoseok) in uniform ❤ Sorry for the long comment! SORRY FOR THE LONG COMMENT 💀 BUT HERE'S BASICALLY ALL WE KNOW ABOUT THEM CURRENTLY 💜 This are the Enlist and the Discharge dates: -Jin: 13 Dec 2022 - 12 Jun 2024 -Suga: 22 Sept 2023 - 21 Jun 2025 -J-hope: 18 Apr 2023 - 17 Oct 2024 -RM: 11 Dec 2023 - 10 Jun 2025 -Jimin: 12 Dec 2023 - 11 Jun 2025 -V: 11 Dec 2023 - 10 Jun 2025 -Jungkook: 12 Dec 2023 - 11 Jun 2025 Ok, so yes all of them are in different units except for Jimin and Jungkook bc they are in a program to spend their enlistment together or something like that and the members are in different military bases. (Different locations) RM and V in one, Jungkook and Jimin in another, Jin in one and J-Hope in another. Suga is in the city but doing a civil job. A k-army said her boyfriend went to the training center for public service and met Yoongi. Yoongi bought water and pepero for his teammates and apparently he is assigned as the division leader. Still, he will have to enter the bootcamp for a while to receive a basic military training. In the type of military service they are doing it last 18 months (except for Suga bc he's doing an alternative one). In this one there's 4 ranking sched that basically depend on how many months soldiers spend there. Those are: 1. Private 2. Private first class 3. Corporal 4. Sargeant The Military Training Center training period is 5 - 6 weeks. In this period they have to go through painful chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) training. The process of selecting this position is the apprentices that stand out in many aspects and is based on the good history of each apprentice with a remarkable performance in the field of ability and they also got an interview for this position. 😌 As an assistant drill instructor, they have to wake up early, go to bed late, and take care of all kinds of stuff. Because of this duty both gets more days of vacation than the other people and this is a job duty that they will maintain for the duration of his service period. Then they got promoted earlier to Private First Class, then they became Special Warrior (Top Class Warrior) and got promoted to Corporal 2 months earlier than scheduled. These are Qualification to be a Special Warrior: 1. Shooting: 18 or more hits out of 20 shots 2. Basic strength : more than 72 push -ups in 2 minutes, more than 86 sit-ups in 2 minutes, 3 kilometer run within 12 minutes 30seconds 3. Combat strength: 10 kilometer rapid march in 20 kg full gear gear within 2 hr 40 min, 5 kilometer run in 15kg non combat gear within 40 min 4. 20 times leg tugs, intense fitness routine in 2 minutes 10 seconds, 240 meter sprint within 1min 2second 5. Mental strength test: higher than 90 points out of 100 This is something incredible hard to do unless you have great skills so mqny people are surprised and proud of them. Also, a couple of days ago Jin on birthday thanked army for celebrating and at the end he mentioned he is already a sergeant (he was early promoted again) and that's the HIGHEST rank an enlisted one can achieve and the fact he still has 6 months left... SEOKJIN IS AMAZING 🔥 Fun fact: Korean citizens have been calling Seokjin Captain Korea because he's doing really good lol Also, a month ago someone shared this story: op’s coworker asked “do you know this person?” and showed her a pic & it was Hobi! op was like “what is this?” And coworker said her son enlisted recently and said that training instructors is so kind shining. During training, he's a little strict, but during the break, he checks on trainees' condition and says nice things to them and he will give hugs so they’d gain strength or bc they did well and smiles a lot. She heard that her coworker's son got more hugs from him than from his mom and dad. 😭. That’s so sweet and so Hobi! Btw, V decided to do 'rappel training' to join the Special force for capital defense command (SDT). The SDT unit carries out high-stake operation including hostage rescue, counter insurgency & counter terrorism mission. SDT is one of the hardest units in the military and it's under the direct command of the Korean president. Someone who is currently serving in SDT recently shared the raining process which is usually: -Morning routing: Circuit training (high-intensity training) + running + fitness -Afternoon routine: rappelling situational response, shooting and special martial arts (you must acquire all 1st degree special martial arts) Physically is hell at the beginning but it's said that your body gets better as you advance. V said he wanted to challenge himself and that he has his own goals, he seems really committed and even said he was excited so that's good. I hope everything goes well for him and all the other members. 💜 A couple of days ago a photo of Taehyung’s group was posted and we saw that he was wearing a blue symbol that means he’s a trainee platoon leader! I’m so proud. And just a couple of hours ago an story from someone was shared that said: “My friend's cousin is in the same unit as Taehyung. He said Taehyung has the best attitude and is the most polite among the trainees, so Taehyung became the platoon leader trainee.” Thank you for this reaction! Sadly there's already people who are leaking and sharing videos of the members in the military base. Just wanted to add a small info to this JImin and Jungkook are in the same division(5th one) as Jin's but not the same company that's why Jin won't be training them, Jin train trainees in the 11th company and Jimin & JK belongs to 10th company. You have summed up all the info to the tee..👍🏼

Suga probably has gone for basic training already but since he is doing alternative service we cannot know the date he went or will go and nothing can be aired for it. For us he is just gone for 2 years and we will see him when he gets back. My friends son joined to do alternative service a couple of months after Suga and he has already done his basic training so I suspect Suga has already as well.

My Korean friends who have sons they had to have doctors appointments and fill out papers when they turned 18 for the military and that I think is when many things are determined. Suga had the shoulder surgery in hopes it would get better but was then recommended for alternative service since he would not be able to do all the things required even after the surgery.

while serving they can use social media but they can't do or appear on anything that earns money, like they posted photos with jin for example when hobi enlisted, and jin commented on social media but they can't show him on social media

😭 I hate seeing this but Im happy they have eachothers support. From what I know, Hobi ended up becoming a captain or something and I swear they said on the front line? Which I presume that mountainous border between the North and South? I could be wrong or it could have been a mistranslation about the front lines, but it sounds like hes doing well and is respected as a soldier. Jin also seems to be doing well although there were a few issues revolving around his service (like army literally trying to pick a fight with the korean government lol) I also seen photos that Tae and Namjoon are making lots of friends. Tae was just taken to dinner by his colleagues to reward him for the release of his new song. I think Tae also recieved an award for his shooting capabilities which.. so deserved. He was a freaking sharp shooter since Bon Voyage days 😂 I havent seen any news on JK relating to the military yet though, nor Yoongi or Jimin. I guess they are just keeping quiet and doing their work diligently. Oh, there were some photos of Jiminie and Jungkookie. Though 😊 Gods I miss them..😢

Actually while they are doing their 5 week basic training, they do not have access to their phones, they can use the camp phones for emergency only. But after their 5-week training, they will get their phone back and allowed to use their phones from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on weekdays and from 8:30am to 9:00pm on weekends. And they will be able to post on social media following MS guidelines. As well, after their basic training, they will be able to leave their barracks after work fro 5:30pm on weekdays for personal affairs and return before roll call at 9:30pm.

namjoon and tae will be training together, but they’ll be off in their own units after the training period. jimin and jungkook will be together their whole service since they applied for the buddy system. yoongi has an alternate service due to his shoulder injury, which is 21 months instead of the 18 months for the army. if you want to see pictures of them together, it’s posted on their social media. and cheers to our jin for almost completing his service and returning in 6 months!!

Thanks for this reaction it was really an emotional one. But we will all be here waiting for them. I hope all 7 fulfil their military service healthy and safe. What people don’t realise is how special it is that all 7 are serving at the same time and the effort and conscious decision making that went into it. They will have some of the shortest total military time in idol history. They took their 2025 vow seriously. There were many steps that had to be carried out. Yoongi as others have mentioned and you alluded to did have a different process because of his shoulder injury and his alternative public service, hence why he did not have a ceremony, Tae did apply for special forces. What’s really sweet is that he applied for the military police (SDT) which is the same service his good Wooga friend Park Hyung Sik did. So he would have received a lot of good advice and support.) You are correct in JK wanting to go to special forces, he says this in the live the four did before enlistment where they also explain they enlisted like this in order to go as quickly and to fulfil their 2025 end date. Other information although Namjoon and Tae enlisted on the same day together they will have different units and go to different destinations. The reason being one that Tae applied for the Special forces unit and Namjoon did not… and SDT Tae’s unit does not accept the buddy system, neither does their Nonsan training centre, two: Namjoon’s age means he is not qualified for the buddy system. Only those born after 95 are, hence it was also not open to any other members who enlisted before either. I am reassured though like Namjoon is that he and Tae will see each other potentially at meal times. I’m also reassured that JK and Jimin will have each other. As the only members who could do the buddy system it also meant that they had the benefit of being able to choose their dates and be in control of their enlistment date and their enlistment centre (Jin’s), otherwise they would have waited who knows how long, it could have been a couple of weeks or many number of months. As Jimin said in his live as the older Hyung he will set a good example. JK as mentioned did want to do special forces and he may be able to later, although the tattoo rules are not as strict as they once were (because of the system being taken advantage of) they still are something that severely restrict you. Especially visible tattoos when you are wearing short sleeves which is both of them. If you have tattoos you also cannot apply for special forces before initial training, you can only do so after training and dependent on your training results. The options you will have will also be very very limited. For example Tae’s special forces unit would not be available as they do not accept any with visible tattoos. From the information we have had thus far we know that Jin and Hobi are flourishing as are Tae and Namjoon. Both Hobi and Jin are special warriors ( they had to pass certain physical trials) and are teaching assistants. Jin is also very highly thought of by his peers. So far both Namjoon and Tae are trainee platoon leaders. Tae is the training soldier for the platoon commander. There have also been many anecdotes coming from the family members of other serving soldiers (they have their phones once a week for an hour) about his popularity with the other soldiers which is cute. Many have talked about his beauty and insane proportions and his exemplary attitude as well as how well he is eating. Namjoon though had the flu at the beginning and he is seen as very friendly. I hope once their initial training is over we will get an update from them all. We miss them. P.s What I would also say is a concern and to watch out for in the comments section is unfortunately the misinformation/half truths that you see spread by immature (my guess is teenage) delusional toxic shippers. It’s a real problem in the fandom recently. Esp the ones that are nicknamed Jokers by the fandom (the ones that Ship JK and Jimin) despite Jimin refering to JK as like his real biological brother.) unfortunately they seem to live in the world of make believe and fan fiction with little reference to reality and facts… and have started to turn your comments section into a very nasty environment by taking a piece of information and outside of the context of it adding to it and embellishing it with their bizarre fantasies. My concern is that a lot of new army learn information casually through comments sections and unfortunately so many new ones will be exposed to this. I don't know what the deal with the phone is, but not sure about the 1hour/week. Also they can have visits, the guys mentioned several times visiting Jin and JHope. So family, friends can visit. Also occasionally days off... As for what they have to do, beside of the basic training I think it's about their choices, as well as their performances.. Jin is having some advances and JHope is a training officer (no surprise there)

I think I read some K-Army explaining the Phone Rules got a Bit more relaxed recently but in the Initial Training at the beginning its the strictest

They get phones one h a week only the first month of basic training. Then they get daily time. Also free days, breaks and holidays.

It’s different thing. Tae join special unit SDT not usual army unit . Jin & jhope get special warrior because they did well , is like they did excellent n got awarded. The info is on news so everyone know.

jimin and jungkook are the only two members that enlisted in the buddy system, so they will be in the same unit for their service. taehyung and namjoon will be in the same place for the first few weeks, and then they go to separate duties. yoongi is participating in civil service, an alternative to the military (possibly due to his shoulder complications.) hobi and jin are due to be back in 2024! i’m so excited!

this situation is pretty devastating, since it is without any choice, it is mandatory and forced. plus the military is pretty harsh and their conscription period is so long. i feel bad for any man that has to go through it

And I wouldn't use the word comfortably for a Special Forces training, it's literally one of the hardest and most demanding physically and mentally. Thre's a reason all korea media was impressed about Tae getting accepted in this unit and I guarantee you it's not because of comfort, quite the opposite

I see a lot of misinformation and unnecessary fights in the comments when people don't even know how korean military works. First of all, the 4 remaining members enlisting basically together ( rm and V and then jk and jm 24h later) is not a coincidence. The CEO announced publicly a bts comeback in 2025. So it was crucial they enlisted the sooner as possible, end of 2023 or very beginning of 2024 at max. What you need to understand : all members of bts were given postponement until they are 30. The minute they inform the government that they are ready to give up postponement and enlist, they must be prepared to get called within a few weeks or it can take up to 6 months ( if you're close in age to 30's you get called pretty fast). The buddy system which allows siblings/relatives/friends to enlist together has an age limit (28) which means RM wasn't allowed to apply for it. That leaves the 3 younger ones suitable for that. All 3 of them had busy schedules up until the week before they enlisted. How did they know they would be able to finish these schedules ( that costs money with travels and staff) just in time? By applying in ways that would make them know beforehand the exact date they would get called. How do you do that? You can apply for a special unit or for buddy system. V applied for Special Forces. It's a long process with multiple interviews and physicall tests. That also means that when you apply you know the date you'll enlist. So he knew he would go in December and was able to work till last minute. Now, Jimin and Jk both have visible tattoos in their arms which limits their choices of applying to special units or positions ( at least for the initial basic training, later they can apply to those if they want), so it makes sense these 2 members were the ones applying for buddy system together ( since in this system 2 people are going together, the unit opens the form in advance and they publish the available dates online. The 5th unit that jk and jm applied to was the one with December dates available). Had jk and jm applied individually, there was no guarantee they would get called in December. They could have been called earlier, causing financial loss since they still had lots of schedules left or jk, who is younger, could get called next year, delayig the 2025 bts reunion.I think people should understand this was absolutely a strategical and very clever solution that had army and the boy's love for them in mind. They wanted to go now and comeback in 2025 as they promised. If jimin and V, who are best friends, had applied together, that would leave jk at risk of beig called randomly too soon or too late. Same for jk and V, who are also super close, had they apllied together, jimin would get called randomly and we know he also worked till last minute since he knew it would be possible because of the buddy system. Of course in the end members who are in the same place will be happy to have a familiar face around, but their decision simply was not based on that . We should wish them all to be safe and healthy and avoid spreading misinformation.

Exactly! Jk's album came out in November and he promoted up until few days before enlisting! If he had not used buddy system then he would have to give up his right to postponement only now and who knows? He could get called next month or as late as mid 2024! Then he would probably get discharged end of December 2025 or early 2026. They all stated they want to be back in 2025 in time to be with armys, I think they have plans to surprise us!

All of this is misinformation which was spread by Taekookers, Jimin and Jungkook DID NOT have to enlist together through the buddy system, they CHOSE to, they could have enlisted separately and still be back in time.

@@thekookmin5813 this is absolute accurate and logical information. They aren't forced by law to enlist like this, but considering their plans for the future they indeed had to enlist this way. Jk released his album in November. If he hadn't enlisted through this system, he would have no assurance he would even be around to promote it. In fact, he would probably be giving up his postponement rights by now, and there's no way to know when he would get called. It could be fast, it could take months. All members will be back by June 2025, which we know is a special month for BTS and Army. They promissed a comeback. The company CEO promised on national television bts would surprise fans with an album in 2025. Any other enlistment arrangement could potentially compromise these plans. I'm sure jk and jm are happy that it turns out they will be in the same place as well as beig close to Jin. But you shippers need to stop claiming this decision was based on anything other than their love for the fans and desire to keep their promise to them.

It's silly they didn't show the other guys cause they are enlisted, but there are photos with all of them. All of them were to RM and V send off. And at Jimin and JK were Suga and JHope (JHope has some time off of something... He was in Paris too for some LV work.. Weird, but fun for him)
